Finally tried this place after seeing it a number of times whenever I was in the complex. Ordered an oat milk latte, my usual coffee drink, and I was able to choose from 2 options of espresso beans they were brewing for the day. Also got a blueberry scone which was very buttery and delicious! I also love that they give you your drink order in real mugs/cups if you're dining in. The ambiance was your typical coffee shop -- quiet with soft lofi music playing in the background. There were high and low tables, some with comfy/soft chairs, while others had the bar style chairs. The tables each had the wifi password so for those staying a while and needing internet while working, you don't have to ask the baristas for the wifi password. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is I wish they would've provided more baked goods or food options. They had one sandwich option when I came in before 11am, a bagel option, and just a handful of different pastries. The shelves looked half empty so I'm assuming there's normally more options? Still good to try if you're wanting good coffee in the area. read more

Stopped in here today with my mom for coffee and a visit and was so pleasantly surprised at this new shop. The chai was delicious and the mocha was perfect. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. I loved the quiet corner that we found with throw cushions and lap blankets. I ordered a "Lavender Fog" and it was horrible. Quite honestly it tasted like hot water with a dash of lavender. It took about two minutes for them to prepare, making me feel like the effort was not put in to make a quality drink. What's more is a 12 oz was almost $5.00. The establishment itself was quaint and the service was ok. But for almost $5.00 this drink was brutally bad. read more

We were in the area for lunch and decided to stop by here for coffee because I had an Entertainment Coupon. Apparently, the coupon was from the previous ownership. The baristas accepted the coupon regardless so we ordered a couple drinks. Great service on their part and I really appreciated their effort to accept the coupon when they could have easily refused to accept the coupon. The cafe is located in a newer condo/commercial development. Atmosphere is modern and spacious with plenty of seating. They use JJ beans. read more

From the previous comments, I can see that they changed owners and is not what it used to be. Unfortunatley, this was my first time here so I can't compare it to how it used to be. I ordered their lunch special, which is half a sandwich and a bowl of soup. I got their "Grilled Three Cheese Sandwich" (brie, havarti, and cheddar cheese) and their "Tomato Basil Soup". When I got my dish, I was pretty excited to dig in as it looked very appetizing; however, my excitement level was shot down fairly quickly. The sandwich was cold, the cheese wasn't fully melted inside... Tasted like I just had cheese with bread but with fancy cheese. I hoped the soup to compensate for the sandwich, but oh boy.. The soup was so salty! But the people who work here (I'm assuming it's the owners) are so nice and genuine. I will definitely be back for coffee and a place to study for sure! read more

I stumbled upon this gem and I'm hooked!!! The coffee is amazing (and hello comes in compostable cups and lids, finally a shop that understand the need to minimize their footprint). Just had an amazing experience! They do drip coffee and while I was looking at their extensive merchandises around drip coffee, Chris, who was making my chai latte started chatting to me and letting me know what his preferences were then started to ask me what I was looking for. I let him know I was interested in the drip coffee for when camping when there was no electricity. He suggested the Kalita plastic drip that fits over your cup. Perfect for camping! He was so helpful and friendly. He even added a box of filters to my purchase for free! He also recommended that I try coco in my chai latte next time as it adds a great flavour to it. Had the Montreal meat sandwich as well, very tasty. Really happy that there is a great coffee shop like this in Surrey where I live, which you usually only get downtown. read more

I have been coming here a while and am never disappointed when Chris makes my traditional cappuccino. Normally I go to places and they think the latte they give me is a cappuccino. Anyways here they use two of my favorite coffee roasters JJ bean and Timbertrain. Has a modern European feel in the cafe. Muffins are good here, too. read more

Cute little café in South Surrey. I came here for a meeting and it was pretty quiet, and almost all of the other people there were working/studying. The café music was really low so I'm positive the person beside us could listen into the conversation if he wanted to lol. Either way the overall vibe was really chill. The service was friendly. I ordered a latte and a scone to share. The latte was a little too milky for my liking but the scone was good. I noticed they also offer pour over coffee which I wish I got instead. Went here for the first time today, and it certainly won't be the last, be sure to keep your eye out for the sign or you might miss the turn off into the quiet little pedestrian mall. The owners are super friendly and inviting, and even gave us some travel advice. I love their two shot espresso drink menu, its like a whole cafe that specializes in different varieties of my favourite way to drink coffee. I had an espresso , with some soy milk and a macciato (spelling?) which were both delicious. There are toys for kids, big tables, huge windows and even a place to tie up your dog outside, but in sight and out of the walking path. Nice art on the walls and music on Saturday nights. I kept humming the Beatles song in my head after going there, that's the kind of place it is. The South Surrey/White Rock area was overdue for good coffee. Jesse and Chris saved they day when they opened. It was refreshing to see they offered JJ bean coffee. Jesse devotion to good coffee and espresso is impressive. I have not known a barista to be as consistent as she is. Chris's devotion to the food is also excellent. I know he'll have something sweet or savory as an excellent snack. If I am in the mood, the option of having a well priced craft beer is nice. Or perhaps some baileys in my coffee. The ambiance was great! I loved the coffee here! However, when I saw Jerry's face in the window. I got a little scared. At first I though it was a ghost. He turned and a smile crept across his face.With one finger, he pointed at me. I then turned and ran the hell away. The next day, I came back and there he was, smiling at me. Finally, I grew the balls to go and order a coffee. I really did enjoy the coffee, though, it was hard to hold onto my cup as my hands were sweaty as all hell from the nervousness. To this day, I still have PTSD from remembering Jerry's smile within the window. Every once in a while, I have nightmares of this. Sometimes, it would wake me up at 3 in the morning, and I'd look down and realize I had wet myself. Probably due to the amount of coffee I drink. The customer service is great, and I really do think Jerry is a nice guy, but his smile is just a bit too bright. Whenever I see his bright beaming teeth, it makes me think I'm seeing the light of my death. All I wish is to drink coffee in peace and be on my way. read more

This coffee shop is run by owners Jessie and Chris, firstly I would not hesitate to mention the coffee quality and barista expertise in the same breath with some of the popular specialty coffee shops in the Pacific North West, and I've tried pretty much all of them from Stumptown in Seattle to Coava in Portland. Fresh beans perfectly roasted can still be ruined by unqualified or poorly trained baristas or poor espresso machines and grinders, There espresso grinders seem to always be perfectly dialed in throughout the day, you never get an over extracted or under extracted coffee and because the barista (Jessie) is always the same, you always get consistently great coffee. Also the food choice is outstanding! Chris is very passionate about his menu which is all about fresh quality local ingredients that Include vegan friendly items to gluten free Fridays, I've had some of the best homemade sandwiches and muffins here! There are new owners since the last yelp review, I think they have had it for about 4 months now and as we didn't come when Chris and Jesse were here I can't compare.
