The staff here really make the place magical every time, but the food is ALSO excellent!! So many light yet filling and vibrant dishes, and really yummy vegan pastries (including croissants!!). I will recommend this place forever.

Vegan food can be a hit or a miss but the dish I ordered was a knockout. The matcha latte wasn't anything special, but you wouldn't even have known this was a vegan dish. It was "creamy" and the toast was crunchy. The tomatoes added a nice acid touch. I'm not a fan of Caesar salads because I find them heavy but this was lighter and not as creamy as regular Caesar salads. I hear their mushroom toast is also quite delicious so I look forward to trying that next! Service was good - nothing extraordinary or anything to complain about. The spot isn't too big but they do have indoor and outside seating.

Brekkie Wrap + Oh Snap Ice Queen

I was making a little day trip to White Rock and wanted to check out Grounds & Greens since I'm trying to eat more plant-based these days and have heard it's good. The food certainly lived up to expectations! I had the misconception that it was basically just a foodie coffee shop, but it's actually more of a casual brunch restaurant with table service (if you know what you want when you walk in, you can order at the counter, and pay at the counter, but you can also sit and have a minute with the menu, and staff will come take your order). I arrived a little before 12 on Saturday and was surprised to find it relatively quiet, but the lunch rush hit hard around 12:30, and it's not a big place, so I'd recommend getting there before noon for lunch to beat the crowd. To drink, I got the seasonal "Oh Snap!" version of the Ice Queen, which is their take on dalgona coffee, the holiday version made with gingerbread-spiced milk and served with a gingerbread cookie. I obviously thought it sounded good but it was even better than I was expecting. The gingerbread flavour was perfect (I liked that I could really pick up on the spice, not just the brown sugar, which the bitter coffee helped bring out) and the whipped texture was interesting. The cookie was fine but unremarkable (just a basic gingerbread) but it was fun to dip in the whipped coffee. I had the Brekkie Wrap to eat, which also surpassed expectations. It was very filling since it was packed with protein and sweet potato plus a rich, flavourful spicy tahini sauce. The side caesar salad was actually equally as impressive as the wrap to me - their dressing was without a doubt the most delicious caesar dressing I've ever tried, I felt like it somehow captured the ideal flavour for a caesar even more than any non-vegan dressing I've had. The people there are very nice. I wouldn't recommend it for groups larger than 4 because the space is small and they have to move tables/chairs to accommodate bigger groups, but it would be a great place for a small gathering or casual date, and the environment is kid-friendly too.

Luv this place. It's a wonderful place for coffee & snack lunch. Omg the service is always 100 % perfect they are always smiling, working hard, very organized. 1369- Johnson Road (604) 531-0990 Open everyday 10am--6pm But sometimes it's good to call them & check. I wish I can have everything on the menu, everything looks so fascinating & delicious . I had Return of the Mac, my friends had Basic b**--gf, Beef faux real followed by devil wears Prada cupcake & the tall blended whipped coffee. I loved it all the coffee needed a little bit more sweetness to it. & Havana Banana. After that we went to the beach

Atmosphere was great! Good location. I was a little disappointed in the size of my iced chai tea (too small) for the price $8!! I drank it in like 5 minutes or less I would like to come back here and try out some of there food!

Its new but it rocks like a star.. small seating , small menu but don't underestimate the power of small. Right when you enter the door , u will be greeted and welcomed by most exciting staff. Whatever on menu is worth trying as its plant based, good for gut , healthy ingredients and incredibly yummy. Whole ambiance is great especially during this time when it's Christmas around the corner. Take some selfies in front of the sign of grounds n green as i missed it. All sanitized tables have sign and spaced out from each other. Wish them luck for a better financial year as covid hit them right when they opened their doors in march 2020. Thank you for your service though n feeding hungry foodies like me

I've been in the White Rock/Surrey area a lot more recently and am pleasantly surprised with how many cute coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants there are in the area. Grounds & Greens is one of them! I popped in here on Sunday morning and had a delicious breakfast on their patio. I went inside to order at the counter and they brought my food out to me. The staff at the counter were so friendly and patient. Their menu is 100% plant based and filled with an assortment of breakfast items, sandwiches, and bowls. Between the bowls and breakfast dishes, I had a hard time deciding what I wanted, but ultimately went for the brekkie wrap. It was filled with veggies, avocado, tofu, black beans, potatoes, and some sort of hot sauce. It was so delicious. It does have a bit of a kick to it, so if you're not great with spice, I'd ask them to not make it spicy. I usually like to save half of my wraps and sandwiches for a later snack, but I scarfed this whole thing down in one sitting. I paired this delicious wrap with a mango turmeric smoothie and it was the perfect morning meal. I'm excited to try some of the other dishes on their menu now. This spot is my new go-to in the area and I'll definitely be popping in more often. Thank you, Grounds & Greens!

Very happy this place opened in White Rock. I eat vegan/plant based and my parents are omnivores. They loved it too. Really nice design and ambiance inside although we did take out. We split 3 bowls and they were tasty. Thank you. Please go out and support this restaurant.

My wife & I stopped in for a late brunch. We each ordered a cortado ($4) and a benny: I got the standard "sweet & smoky bacon benny", and my wife got the special benny (which rotates) (each $22 -- a little steep but worth it for the artistry of the dishes and the great decor). The standard benny comes with two scrambled tofu "eggs", seasoned wonderfully, with plant-based bacon, a bit of spinach, tomato, and cashew hollandaise, all served on top of stringy hashbrowns. The special came with 2 Yo eggs (I believe), which leak out "yolk" when you puncture them, like real eggs, served with plant-based bacon, cabbage, and micro greens. Both very tasty. We would have both preferred the bennies to be served on standard English muffins. As is, the hashbrown base is a bit too oily/fried and lacking that hearty feeling, and the waffle base was simply too sweet (a more savoury waffle might work better). But still, both dishes were very enjoyable, artistic, and thoughtfully constructed. If it were up to me, I'd add some healthier options to the brunch menu -- maybe a brunch bowl, give the option of an English muffin base for the bennies, and items with more veggies. Overall, an excellent experience. Highly recommended.

The D2E meetballs were so satisfying. The topping of spicy mayo complimented the sandwich well. The Sub is well worth the $18. Because I enjoyed my lunch so much I returned for dinner. It exceeded my expectations. I started my dinner with an aperitif, one of their signature cocktail, Mezcal Fizz. It's cranberry, soda and sweet rosemary. It's worth the asking $13. It was light and very refreshin, making it the perfect pre-dinner cocktail. I'm a huge carbonara fan and seeing it on their menu I had to try the vegan version. I'm not going to lie and say you can't tell a differenc, but I'm also not going to lie and say it wasn't good because it was great. It was very flavorful and creamy. The vegan bacon even had a nice smokey flavor. At $25 I would for certain recommend and even enjoy this again myself. I ended a pleasurable dining experience with a serving of cashew strawberry ice cream. OMG for someone who isn't a fan of strawberry ice cream to begin with, this is one I could get behind. Highly recommend asking for a serving yourself. If you're in the area I most def give two thumbs up in recommending Down 2 Earth Plant Parlour. I've already recommended it to the locals I've worked with this week. If travels bring me to Vancouver I would def return to dine in.

Ok ok, what's better than driving to Canada to eat vegan food, I'll tell you .. driving to Canada to eat vegan food while meeting new vegan friends! We decided to meet up at Mila Plant-Based, 100% vegan restaurant in the downtown area sort of right in-between Downtown Eastside, Science World, and Gastown. The restaurant has a lovely, quaint ambiance, feels very welcoming upon entering. The bathroom was .. well, posh! I don't normally make a point to comment on bathroom decor, while average in size, I felt like I was being upgraded to First Class lol. Ok, moving right along .. lol They have two menus, a Weekend Brunch Menu and, for all other hours, a Lunch/Dinner Menu, ..we ordered from the Weekend Brunch Menu. I had the Bibimbap Bowl - rice bowl with Yo Egg, mushroom bacon, kimchi, tempura yam, cucumber, carrot, gochujang sauce. This bowl had many layers of unique flavors all married perfectly in every exquisite bite, I say this very sincerely! My wife ordered the Pina Colada Pancakes - pancakes, toasted coconut syrup, cashews, cocktail cherries, rum-candied pineapple, mint. Each bite easily lived up to the the decadence displayed in the included image. We absolutely have to find our way back to Mila to try their Lunch/Dinner menu as it includes some amazing sounding options such as, Feta Stuffed Date - date, feta, pistachio, olive oil, maldon salt, ABURI LOX OSHI - carrot lox, aburi sauce, shiso, serrano, 6 pieces, Tuna Crispy Rice - watermelon akami tuna, sushi rice, lime kewpie mayo, green onion, sesame seeds, 3 pieces, and much more. We had quite a few options to choose from regarding where to meet for brunch, with every option sounding wonderful in their own way. Ultimately, we decided on Mila because of their unique, fresh and inspiring sounding dishes and yeah, they did not disappoint. Thanks so much for dropping by and reading this review. Do yourself a favor and extend the same courtesy to Mila by ... dropping by .. and enjoying some amazing tasty food.

The restaurant was decorated nicely, but nothing remarkable so I was surprised by the presentation of the food!
