Upon enterring I was struck by how much different the remodel interior was. Now it looked like a fancy hipster joint. Thankfully the restaurant had one single high chair for our little one. It looked like it was inherited from the previous restaurant, but served it's purpose well. Space was small and narrow. Another restaurant where you order at the counter and your food will be brought to your table. Husband had the ultimate loaded breakfast (bowl) while I chose the English Breakfast and our tot happily munched away in a grilled cheese sandwich. Good food, portion were the "hipster/smaller" sizes but price was okay for the portion size.

The staff is very kind and on top of things! They'll make you feel at home. I ordered the Ham and cheese panini- The ham was AMAZING! We couldn't believe it was just ham, the smoke was perfect. Juicy and fresh tomatoes and fresh, dressed greens. I loved the mustard and paprika aioli- great combination, so flavorful and creative. The ciabatta bread was light, fresh and soft! I don't always love ciabatta but I think I've been made a believer. My husband had the Motown Philly. Delicious, huge portion. Tons of flavorful meat, cheese and onions and peppers, with great seasoning and care, and tender steak. The garlic aoili was a great addition to bring it all together. 10/10 some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I will 100% make this a stop anytime we are in the area, and I highly recommend a stop in or grabbing something to go!

Ordering was super easy and the food came out fast. I ordered two #8 banh mi which is the classic banh mi that comes with 2 viet ham and pate. This is more of the traditional banh mi you see. I liked that Obanhmi also has a variety of other flavors including chicken lemongrass, beef sate, etc. Within the shop, there is a little bit of seating if you choose to sit inside and eat. The overall ambiance is cute for this small shop. I really like the newspaper wallpaper that incorporates the history of the banh mi. The banh mi itself was delicious. The toppings on top (cilantro, pickled vegetables, etc.) helped to add a nice crunch and helped to balance the whole entire sandwich. It was a good ratio of vegetables to meat to bread. Obanhmi is definitely is a solid option if you're in the area to get a banh mi!

They have different options for banh mi than I've seen before; honey garlic chicken + beef sate. Just the right amount of sauce. The Vietnamese coffee was pre made mixture, which tasted okay but fresh would be better. I get it though it's a fast food style place. They don't give you a plate so when you sit down it's in a paper bag cover and all your French breadcrumbs will fall on the table. It's very small inside but has a few tables to sit in and eat. The ambience of the place is eclectic and fun. They have a variety of offerings from tacos, burritos, burgers, sandwiches and poutine. We tried the tacos (Baja fish, Cajun shrimp, jerk chicken), smashburger, and their Mexican poutine. We really enjoyed the tacos, especially the fish and jerk chicken tacos. The strong seasoning of the proteins were complimented well with the slaw and vegetable toppings. The smashburger was good, considering it came from a fast food chain and the poutine was filling and hearty. After we paid, we got to spin the wheel and won a free taco for our next visit. I can't wait for my next visit!
