cappuccino and carrot lox toast
Nami A.

Solid bites! Their carrot lox toast is very delicious and fresh. Their menu items have always been plant based and "plant-forward" and I definitely have an appreciation for that. Their coffee could be better though. The cappuccino tasted a little sour and a little watered down, but I did overhear that they were behind on drinks so maybe they were rushing? This coffee shop is sentimental to me, so I will always come back for a visit when I'm in BC-- their decor is just special and I love that they transform into a bar now during weekends with some pretty dope events!

What was ordered: * Oatmilk Cortado * Caramel Latte * Vegan Butter Croissant * Vegan Chocolate Croissant Despite it having a hidden location the cafe was fairly busy. The cafe has a unique ambiance. Croissants were nice and flaky, although I wished they were warmed. The drinks were great quality, smooth, and had perfect amount of foam for both drinks. Parking was convenient. Worth visiting if you're in New Westminster.

200th review! :) Nice coffee place tucked away in New West. Been wanting to try this out for a while now since this always pops up on my Yelp search for coffee shops in Burnaby/New West area. Paid parking is available on the street. The coffee shop as a hipster and industrial vibe to it. Hubby and I both ordered a small latte (oat milk for me) plus a peanut butter cookie (GF/V). Coffee was good, a bit roasted and acidic at first but it mellowed down after. We both loved the peanut butter cookie -- it was soft and gooey where you can taste the peanut butter and sweetness was just right. We wanted to get another PB cookie but they ran out. Will def come back for the cookie hahaha Wifi was ok, password is posted by the cashier area. It can get a bit full and there might be a queue at times but it's ok. This cafe has more seating available compared to the other one along this street. Been back several times but the peanut butter cookie has been elusive to us. Hubby tried their mocha while I tried their brewed coffee when we came back -- both were good).

Their sandwichesssssss. Gawd. So good. I've tried and loved 'em all. Their lattes are the best in New West, in my opinion.

Avocado toast and Negg Salad Toast (both vegan :)

Harvest AF sandwich is the best vegan sandwich I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! Just the best !!! Love that they use biodegradable straws and the staff is always friendly and helpful. This place is definitely the chillest place in New West.

Hipster vibes all the way and loving it! New West you've stepped it up since this was my old stomping ground. I've had this on my bookmark for sometime now. I always tend to get lost driving around trying to find it. Tip its on FRONT STREET!!! Newer strip of businesses that didn't exist when I went to school in this area. Today, I was on foot so I found it easily. I walked in and it was love at first sight. Why? 1) atmosphere felt open and welcoming 2) decor cool & rustic 3) Good food & coffee. New West I've snubbed you for a long time, you've always reminded me of my poor starving collage years but now Im coming back.

a croissant and a cup of coffee

A little hidden but what a gem! They do a real decent cup of coffee and their pastries are the perfect addition to a lovely morning stop off. I will try to make it back here for their food sometime.

Quaint little cafe for coffee in Downtown New West. During covid, there is no dine in and only take out. Good socially distanced measures with markers on the ground. They have a small sitting area outside if you do want to sit down. We got a latte and a cappuccino and they both tasted great! Would recommend for coffee if I'm in the area again.

Flat white

I'm not a coffee connoisseur. I usually find it bitter and need to doctor it with milk and sugar. But after trying flat white in Australia (arguably they have really good coffee that Starbucks failed there), I am now a convert. Unfortunately there are not that many coffee places which do a good flat white in Vancouver. I'm glad Old Crow is also in New Westminster. I used to go to Old Crow on commercial drive when I used to work in the area (the drive has lots of such coffee places!). I have been there a few times and the flat white I had here so far was hit and miss. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not. I'm not sure if it's the crema or what but it lacks the microfoam richness. A good flat white means I don't need to add sugar to my coffee and it has a creamy mouthfeel. I do like this place as it is away from the busy Columbia street. It is fairly cozy and I love the wood inside.

avo toast and 12 oz drip coffee

I like that this place serves fresh homemade food. I got the avo toast, and it was pretty average. Nice ripe avocado but other than that it was something I could easily make at home, particularly as it is just served on regular sandwich loaf bread (sourdough, but still). The toast was $6.75. Compare that with the $6 veggie sandwich I got from the place up the street, which had all the same ingredients plus some extras like cheese, cucumbers and tomato, and it's not a great deal. Anyways, I still like the vibe here and there is a lot of seating. It's a pretty big space and there are some toys for little kids to be entertained while parents chill. It's nice they have a variety of non-dairy milks, and they have water glasses and a carafe out for people to self-serve. I do wish they were open later into the evening, as I've tried to come here a couple times before and it was closed. Essentially I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if you need a spot to meet for coffee and a light bite with a friend or spend some time on your laptop, this would be a good option in the area.

Went here for the first time today. I would have never known it was there if I hadn't seen it one night when I went to Friday's on Front. Had a cool vibe, loved the music (early 2000's hip hop) I ordered the "negg salad" which is a vegan egg salad made with chickpeas rather than egg. I'm not vegan but it sounded interesting. To drink I got a vanilla almond milk latte. My order was taken quickly but the food took a little while. I didn't mind as I wasn't in a rush but it did take about 10-15 min. Both the latte and negg salad toast were great. It did taste pretty close to egg salad and I loved the thinly sliced pear with a drizzle of olive oil and salt and pepper on top. Price was decent too as it was quite filling (under $7) I will be back to try other items

This place is probably my favourite cafe in New West. It's a bit hidden away by the Quay, but it's so worth the treasure hunt! My friend and I came by to grab a bite and catch up, and we loved the decor and overall feel of the cafe. Seating is somewhat limited on the inside, and there were a few students studying, so know that if you're wanting to come with a big crowd, it might be challenging to stay in. As for food and drinks, my friend got a mocha while I got a chai latte. We also got the avo toast and veggie muffalettaz. Everything was awesome! Would definitely drop by here again, especially now that I know they offer free parking right in front of their store!

I got the veggie sandwich (I forgot the name and cost, but under $10). I did like the ingredients and flavours and I would get this again, but my only negative(?) thing to say is that the pieces of the veggies were big (round-wise) and you end up getting a big bite of one veggie in one place and a different veggie in another bit. If they were cut and disturbed equally among the sandwich, it would have been much better. I liked that it came with a side salad and that it had just the right amount of dressing. The earl grey tea was nice.

So artsy!

My first impression was 'wow is there a lot of choice on this menu!' For drinks they have multiple types of hot chocolates and an array of non-coffee beverages - maybe I have found my new spot... We ordered a Pumpkin Chai Latte and a Pumpkin Spice Belgian Hot Chocolate and a Macadamia Marble Cookie. I like that for their hot chocolate you get to choose if it's milk or dark, I opted for dark. We found a table and I do appreciate the table signs that say to limit your visit to one hour. Honestly, more places should do this to stop people from treating a cafe like their living room or a library. I do feel like Delicia is on the overpriced side for what it serves. The latte was almost $7 and the hot chocolate was $8. I don't think that the drinks aren't worth it, it feels like mixed powder and nothing note worthy. When a menu is too big, it makes me question what is actually good, because even for a small cafe, you can't do everything good. To top it off, our cookie had a hair on the plate, very unappetizing. I don't think that I'll be back.

I've been a few times to Edible Arts in New Westminster, and it's been fairly good till recently…read more I had purchased some pastries and was told they had them in stock. When after payment was finished, they had said "Sorry, we are out of those." There was no option for re-payment, no offer of compensation, only the choice of a different selection and I wasn't given my receipt. The selection was very slim and there was confusion on quantities. I was told a choice of two to three other options, to which they only had one available (or so they said). They first tried offering the one in the display case that looked as if it had been sitting there for 1-2 weeks. That of course turned me off, and I asked what else they had in stock. They finally checked their smaller fridge/ freezer to find they had that "one" type they mentioned available, but only a few. While waiting at the front by the service desk/ display case I did see that they had a bunch of boxes of pastries in the far back fridge/ freezer. This is when another employee had opened it up to check quantities or retrieve something from inside. When observing, I noticed that they had exactly what I was looking to purchase, though the service employee didn't bother to check and continued to say they had none in stock. Personally I will not go back to this store location and I am familiar with the supplier of the pastries for that store. I will go directly to that supplier when they provide their open market in the Langley area. Also, the supplier sells them for about $1.00 lower than Edible Arts. They attend the Farmer's Market out by the Kwantlen Campus in Langley.

I noticed this place with an inviting sign from across the tracks. I decided to get a latte here before my show. I had some time to kill and frankly being inside a coffee shop inside the New Westminister station platform was more appealing than being inside a grumpy train cart. The customer service was awesome. The barista was extremely sociable and I spent 60 minutes shooting the sh*t with him on life, politics, life and money. I met an awesome family in there from Alberta who I chatted with. I initially came in here for a latte, however, stayed for a ham bisque and macaroons. Very reasonably priced, great products and they continue to offer more quality items and very awesome stuff. This unplanned detour made my day.

It is a small space, but full of personality and charm. We ordered a Matcha Latte ($7), Japanese Latte ($7), and Matcha & Black Sesame Moffin ($1.50/each). The Japanese latte is made with coffee beans from Japan, and I'm not a coffee drinker usually so I can't comment much other than the fact it tasted mellow but had depth.
