The staff is very kind and on top of things! They'll make you feel at home. I ordered the Ham and cheese panini- The ham was AMAZING! We couldn't believe it was just ham, the smoke was perfect. Juicy and fresh tomatoes and fresh, dressed greens. I loved the mustard and paprika aioli- great combination, so flavorful and creative. The ciabatta bread was light, fresh and soft! I don't always love ciabatta but I think I've been made a believer. My husband had the Motown Philly. Delicious, huge portion. Tons of flavorful meat, cheese and onions and peppers, with great seasoning and care, and tender steak. The garlic aoili was a great addition to bring it all together. 10/10 some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I will 100% make this a stop anytime we are in the area, and I highly recommend a stop in or grabbing something to go!

Appreciate everyone there for doing what they can to stay open during these times. The interior has been lined with shelves with orders ready to pick up (everyone must order ahead). As I had paid for my order ahead of time, I was in and out in the store within two minutes flat. Then I was on my way to driving back home to surprise my mom with High Tea! Cute little sandwiches, sausage wraps, and scones that weren't throat choking dry. Loved the extra touch for the tea to come with a tea bag, in case we wanted to use it. Will be tempted to try their baked goods soon!

I was in White Rock recently on one of the main high streets & came across this new location. I stopped the car! The interior design layout, is a bit awkward due to the shape restaurant. Food-wise, it was solid. I went with the schnitzel, which I'd recommend overall. It arrived nicely prepared and paired with spätzle (think German-style mac and cheese), which was rich and comforting. That said, the schnitzel leaned a bit on the salty side, so your mileage may vary depending on your preference. Service was fine but didn't particularly stand out, and the pricing felt slightly elevated for what's offered. All in all, it's a good option if you're in the area and craving schnitzel, but between the distance and parking situation, I'm on the fence about making a return trip.

We were greeted by very unfriendly ladies who took our order grudgingly. We asked for the bread for our Reuben sandwiches and were told that there wasn't enough rye bread. I pointed out that there was a bag of the bread on the counter (one of many bags) and she said "that's for sale"... I thought to myself was I getting the sandwich for free? I believe I was paying (an exorbitant price also). The sign was wrong. The sandwiches were mediocre at best. But the service was truly the reason that I feel like reviewing this place.

It's been a while but I was predictably not disappointed! I ordered the Number 18 combo, delivered via UberEats. When the food arrived I opened the bag and found my peach Celsius, 18 sandwich, and oatmeal cookies. I first ate the cookies because I love a good oatmeal cookie. The chew was moist and fresh, tasting heavenly with a light sweetness from the raisins, and a pleasing texture. My idea of a good cookie. The number 18 sandwich, as always, was fresh, satisfying, filling, and clearly high quality ingredients. This isn't a Subway, so the turkey slices were real turkey, in chunks, with quality bacon and fresh veggies. Smashed out of the park~! The Celsius was tasty as expected and canned product that honestly won't affect my review of Big Star I will certainly be ordering from them again in future when craving a tasty sandwich, though might just on into the location. Uber eats prices can be expensive, and it's not far from my office, so in highly recommend going in to pick up. All said, the price and wait are worth the deliciousness~

As you would expect a sandwich shop to be, the place was small with several tables and a large menu above the counter divided by meat types. In hindsight, would have been better to go online and study the menu rather than ordering upon arrival. Eventually, I opted for a large #4 (Roast Beef, Bacon, Cheddar, Hickory Sticks, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo & Deli Mustard) while my husband opted for a large #17 (Roast Beef, Swiss, Creamy Horseradish & Demi-Glace Gravy). We also opted to make our orders a meal and added and drink and a small bag of chips. I'm not sure if it would have been worth it in hindsight; the sandwiches were quite large and a little on the pricey side ($16-$18) and the combo only saved us $1 each. With that said, the sandwiches were delicious. Mine was a good combo of comfort meat, mustard and the hickory sticks added a good crunch. I had a delicious bite of my husband's hot of the grill sandwich with warm gooey gravy. I would have to say that was a sandwich you couldn't take home to eat; you had to eat there while it was still piping hot. Overall it seems like a good place though the sandwiches are a bit pricy. I would say it's worth a visit if you have a coupon. If you don't, it may be worth considering ordering a smaller size and forgoing a combo if you are cost conscious.

I find it a convenient spot for my cool down treat as it's on the strip right close to the foot of White Rock Pier, Canada's longest. Ask for samples first before you settle on a flavour or two. My favourite for gelato right now is still Bella Gelateria, in Vancouver. Maya's selection of gelato is limited, but 100% worth it especially when it's 35°C / 95F outside. There's plenty of restaurants nearby as well with several fish & chip spots & burger joints. Parking is a challenge along the entire strip, but if you're patient, unlike me, you'll find a spot so worry not. Keep in mind that the strip which runs along the beach, draws heavy traffic.
