Roadrunner Restaurant has an unassuming exterior in an industrial area of Langley, but the place is popular with locals and people that work in the auto shops and facilities in the area, so much that you may need to wait for a parking spot to open up. No worries though, there is quick turn around at Roadrunner! For a modest price, you get friendly service, fresh hot food, decent coffee, and great value. We stopped by on the weekend after an overnight visit in Langley, and did not want to have breakfast at OEB, Rickey's, or any of the usual chain breakfast places. Upon pulling up to Roadrunner. One of my friends says, "can't they be sued for this"? Referring to the name and Looney tunes likeness of the character. I'm not sure if there's a case but I like it, along with the kitsch-Ness here as a diner enthusiast. We went here for brunch and one my friends who's of Korean descent wanted to support them as is Korean owned yet offers the comfort diner food we know and love. I got the full croffle with strawberries & whipped cream which was a bit steep at $5 extra but it was good. The strawberries were plump and fresh. The actually croffles were soft, flaky and filling as it is a croissant-waffle. My friend got the crunch chicken Benedict which he shared with us and that chicken was so good. Very well-seasoned. Service was alright. We got the ol' overlapping service where one waitress gets our drink orders, and another comes for the same thing a minute later. There was also a little mix-up with orders but not a major deal. A nice diner spot that should we do brunch on a follow up visit, I'd go back. read more

Didn't want to gatekeep... but it's time. I've been coming to Roadrunner for a while now and honestly didn't want to gatekeep it -- but they deserve the love. This place is consistently solid. The food is always fresh, the portions are generous, and the staff are some of the friendliest around. Whether it's breakfast or lunch, I've never left disappointed. I usually get the omelette or eggs benny (both are top-tier), but everything I've tried hits the spot. Coffee's always hot, service is fast even when it's packed, and the place has that classic, no-frills, homey vibe that's harder and harder to find these days. It's one of those spots where you feel like they actually care -- about the food and the people. Just good energy all around. So yeah... consider this my official recommendation. Parking can be a little challenging as the lot isn't that big and the restaurant fills up quickly for breakfast. Inside you'll find a clean and well lit environment. The food itself is average and nothing spectacular to rave about. I found the portion sizes to be slightly on the smaller size for the price but service was friendly and quick. One downside was the coffee was not hot and I noticed a lot of their stuff isn't really prepared fresh. A lot of it is bagged Costco bread and pre packaged vegetables. While they assemble it all for you, I'm more accustomed to diners that bake their own breads and cut their own vegetables. While I can't pinpoint anything truly negative I just don't think this is a place I'd come back to with so many dining options vying for your dollar. read more

Probably the crispiest shredded hashbrowns and tastiest classic Benny I've ever had! Their portions were also bigger than most places, so you will be full before finishing your meal. This place is located in an area where there's not a lot of food options, so it makes sense they get locals returning. I think they also return for the nice and warm, friendly staff. The ladies who served us were attentive and checked in on us just the right amount of time. The food also came quickly, so we didn't wait too long. My only 1 negative star is the French toast. It was thick and had this cinnamon butter on top of each slice, but the bread itself was dry. It could've used more soaking in the batter. We found this place from yelp while driving around to the short wait time boarder crossing back to WA. We pulled into the parking lot of a small industrial and manufacturing building and almost just turned around. This did not look promising, but the place was slammed. Can all these people be wrong? This place is not so fancy but they have the best food in Langley . We visit here on weekend for our breakfast and sometime brunch. Benny is my all time favourite. During weekend the wait time is more worth it as the food is so good here. read more

Roadrunner has amazing service, and the best Bennies in all of Langley. The staff is kind enough to split our meal for us when we aren't feeling too hungry. This is another of our go to places for breakfast! Meghan and her crew provide solid good food for a fair price, always have since we started frequenting the place more than a decade ago. It's housed in a warehouse complex but right at the street so it's easy to find with a fair amount of parking. The interior has been recently, and tastefully redecorated using an industrial type of theme with great signs all over the place, and t-shirts available should you be so inclined. As I mentioned at the top we typically have breakfast there, but recently went in mid afternoon, an hour before closing. We decided to go a big lunch, and not have dinner later in the evening. The lovely K and I both had open faced turkey sandwiches, a first for her, and the first time in a long while I had what was a staple in our household, as well as for a dinner out when I was a teen. The turkey was on French bread and a nice assortment, the potatoes hot, the carrots nicely cooked with still a bit of a bite to them. It was all topped with yummy gravy, and cranberries also in the side. It brought back all sorts of memories for me of eating at Andy's in Gibsons with my Dad. Did we enjoy it....... oh yes we did! What a great place for breakfast or lunch! I got the privilege of cooking alongside the owner of the Road Runner at a fundraiser for a Non-Profit that our mutual friends are starting! Our friends are regulars at her restaurant and rave about it! I finally got the chance to eat at the Road Runner Cafe today and it definitely stood up to the reputation that it has for great food! The quantities were large and the food was fresh and delicious! I ordered the Road Runner Burger...handmade-homemade patties with such good flavour! Would highly recommend it when in the mood for a good burger! My friend ordered the pancakes with strawberries...the pancakes were fluffy and came with a mountain of strawberries and whipped cream! We've been going here for years and years. Food and service have been outstanding. However, we decided to go on Saturday morning for breaky and noticed new owners and servers. As well the decor is plain and bland. Let's cut to the chase... food sucked and service was terrible. Watched my wife's food sit up at the counter for 15 minutes while they fixed my order. The server quickly stirred the hollandaise so freshen it up so it would go unnoticed. Came to the table cold. As well as no Compensation. Never wrote a complaint review in my life. Popped in for breakfast two days in a row. The restaurant is pretty lively, and service is great. Food came out pretty fast and I really enjoyed the portions. Do be wary, the photos on yelp of the menu are old and they are different now, so don't be surprised. A great place for a nice breakfast. The croffle is delicious and the hash browns crunchy. Was looking forward to a great breakfast but the new owners did everything wrong with this restaurant. Instead of keeping previous menu, they did their own version of what they think breakfast should be. I asked for a simple 2 egg sausage and gf toast but they were unsure if they had any gluten free anything. Instead Served me wheat bread barely toasted. The sausage smelled off and wasn't cooked properly. Everything was cold and my husband had singles Kraft sliced cheese in an omelette. The worst tasting food we have ever had. We did not eat the food and decided to leave with no hesitation of never going back. The roadrunner cafe was one of the best diners to eat in until they sold. Sad to see it go! read more

Great little cafe nestled in a commercial area of Langley. Love the ambience and the staff. I had a clubhouse with homemade roasted turkey and a bowl of home made chicken noodle soup. Came here for brunch on a a Saturday mooring. Was seated at 11:15. It's now 12:03 and our breakfast still hasn't come. That's a pretty lame roadrunner, speed wise. Waitress just popped by our table to let us know that they 'mixed up or order and it'll be another 15-20 minutes.' At least they owned up to it. I know a lot of others rave about this place, but you don't leave your customers hanging for this long. Will not be returning. read more

The breakfast and lunch are both excellent. The staff is wonderful however their TV is always on with the volume up. If you don't mind listening to The View and other left wing politics than this is your place. There used to be tons of Good old boys every morning but have since left since Nov/16. At first look road Runner Cafe dose not look like a place that would have great service and food. As soon as we walk evero
