We had a very good lunch at this location for the first time. The place was busy and waited less than 10 minutes to get seated. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The Crispy Chicken Burger that I've ordered was very good. It has two fried chicken thigh and was very hot. It actually burned my tongue on my first bite. The best brunch place in Maple Ridge! It served during the Covid period. It opens from 8am to 3pm. It was around 2pm. But customers still came here for brunch. Old and young people also came here for brunch. Would it be amazing? My husband and I ordered chicken waffles egg with egg and bulgogi egg benedict with sourdough toasts. Wow the chef cooked each ingredient well. Presentation of the chicken waffle with egg was well don. It looked very beautiful when a server brought the dish to our table. The hash brown was very crispy and Bulgogi (which is Korean beef) was very soft and marinated well. We were very satisfied with every single ingredient here. We could see the chef put an effort to make each dish perfect. I would highly recommend others to come here for brunch if they go to Maple Ridge. The service was excellent. Servers (who were two Korean ladies) were friendly and cared about each customer. There is street parking everywhere, so don't need to worry about parking. From the outside it looks inconspicuous, just your ordinary breakfast joint. The menu has some unique items like a variety of skillets, eggs benedicts, and the usual breakfast staples. Initially I didn't know what to expect. Relatives from Vancouver recommended this place for brunch saying the Chicken & Waffles were to die for. We ordered the Bulgogi Skillet, Pulled Pork Skillet, and a few orders of Chicken & Waffles. The food came out pretty quick. My plate arrived with a mountain made out of one big waffle, lightly drizzled with syrup and topped with fried chicken and a sunny side up egg. I took my first bite and I was blown away! It was a masterpiece! Probably one of the best waffles I've had in a while. The crisp exterior and the inside was light and airy. It wasn't too sweet; the syrup adds a nice subtle sweetness. The toast was done well and the fries were absolutely delicious. The coffee was really good as well. I've been to the location in Port Coquitlam but have heard from friends that the Maple Ridge location is better. We came on a weekend afternoon for brunch and arrived to a little line up. The wait was around 20 minutes. The interior is quite spacious but the décor is outdated. My bf commented that the men's washroom was really dirty. After speaking with the staff, we learned that this location is not related to the location in Port Coquitlam. I found the menu here smaller with less variety, but with more classic dishes. We ordered the smoked salmon benny and a mushroom and ham omelette. My bf really enjoyed the smoked salmon benny. He mentioned that the flavours were well balanced, and you could taste each of the components though they were a touch heavy with the hollandaise sauce. The shredded hashbrowns were a tad too crispy; almost like Hickory sticks. I was quite disappointed with my omelette. My ideal omelette is one that has a runnier and softer interior and is fluffy in texture. The omelette was overcooked, and the filling did not stick to the omelette. It was like an egg crepe wrapped around ham and mushroom. The hashbrown chunks were more like roasted potatoes. The potatoes at the Port Coquitlam location are cooked with garlic and onion, but not the ones here. There seems to be a lot of regular customers here though we felt service was mediocre. One thing I would point out is that while we didn't notice it inside the restaurant, we walked out smelling like oil/grease. Our shirts and pants smelled so strong that we had to go home to change because of the lingering smell. Overall, this is a decent breakfast/brunch joint at reasonable prices, but nothing excited us nor was the experience memorable. read more

Small, but efficiently run, we went around 11:30am and waited about 30 to 45 minutes for a table. The boyfriend ordered the "Steak N Eggs" and I asked for "Chicken N Waffles". Both were beautifully presented and delicious, but the Steak N Eggs was the sure winner. Complete with Bulgogi Beef Steak, egg, tofu, warm kimichi slow and deep fried rice -the dish tasted phenomenal together. Flavours were balanced and tasty. The "Chicken N Waffes" was good too, topped off with thigh meat and a maple syrup soaked waffle, but it seemed to shine a little less next to its counterpart. I had zero expectations going in my first time, but I was impressed. Went to the Port Coquitlam location and it was fantastic. Saw the other reviews on Yelp and the pictures look like all the food was delicious. I was undecided as there are so many things that appealed to me. Breakfast has a lot of options and my daughter had the California Benny and she said it was great. Also the skillets were also good and came in a hot pan. I had the crispy chicken sandwich. It was crispy and two large pieces in a fresh bun with lettuce and mayo. Mayo was so good that I don't know if it was the chicken or the mayo that made it so delicious. One piece of chicken would have been plenty but there was two massive pieces made the sandwich one of the best I have ever had. Fries were crispy and hot. All the food came out hot and together and the staff are friendly and attentive. A must to come back and try something else. Great place for breakfast and lunch as they are only open till 3 or 4 pm. Waited in line for about 30 mins as the place was full and lots of people were also willing to wait. The food came SO fast - the soup in 5 minutes and the sandwich in 10. The sandwich was perfect, crispy bread and satisfying. The wonton soup was a little simple and the wonton meat would benefit from some seasoning. They also topped the soup with sesame oil which I don't like but that's just a personal preference. What really makes this place amazing is the price and the attentive customer service. The servers were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Food: Ordered the grilled ham + cheese with fruit salad. Cost: 8.95 + a can a coke which was a $1.50 give or take. Portion size was ideal for lunch thought. It was nice you had an option of what bread you wanted. I chose sourdough. Two hand size slices and a satisfying bowl of fruit salad (mini, but filling). Closing remarks: I strongly recommend this place. The staff are fantastic, the food tastes exactly like homemade and the atmosphere is subtle and not too loud. Jimmy's just opened yesterday so we decided to try it for breakfast today. What a GREAT choice! Don't judge this book by its cover. The outside does not reflect the inside! They've done a wonderful job updating and finishing the interior. As you walk in, you can see right into the compact but tidy kitchen. This is a husband and wife team with him in the kitchen and her out waiting. Our food arrived HOT and fresh. It also looked delicious! Attention was paid to presentation, everything was cooked as ordered, the bacon was substantial (not paper thin) and the coffee was hot and fresh. Service was excellent even though it was just the one lady. We warned them that they'll get busy when word gets out!!! We would happily recommend Jimmy's to everyone! Actually visited the Port Coquitlam location. I was expecting a standard diner type establishment, but was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked in. The decor was trendier than expected, warm and clean. Had the two-egg breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. My eggs were perfectly poached and looked free range from the vibrant colour of the yolks. The sausages were butterflied as I had requested.
