Hazelnut sent for three meals to share for an additional $4.25.

Man, I hate writing bad reviews but this one just can't slide. I placed an order through Uber Eats for 6 breakfasts and there was no option online to ask for two minor alterations to keep a couple kids happy, so I called the restaurant immediately after placing the order. One change was removing the banana from a crepe, the other was to include a small container of hazelnut spread for a child to spread on his French toast. The employee I spoke to said she didn't think that would be possible but put me on hold to confirm, which I was sure the owner / manager would be smart enough to make this happen. I was wrong. The employee came back and said they could put the bananas on the side but there was no way to do a small (we're talking the size of a small jam) hazelnut spread on a $140 order. To be clear, I wasn't asking to get it for free and even said, I could bring them cash the next time I drove by, give them my credit card number and even suggested doing a second order for something like a side of toast to cover the cost. But no, the only solution was to cancel the order completely and I come and pick it up. So, my 28 minute deliver from a food delivery app, had now turned into a 40 minute round trip for me. The kids were starving, so I said, okay let's do this (shaking my head and biting my lip the whole time). When I arrive, around 9:45 AM, I'm assuming one of the reason for the bad service is they are probably busy and don't really care about my order. To my surprise, the place is dead on a nice weather Saturday morning, which makes me think, I'm not the first person to have a nonsense experience at this location. Before leaving with our food (and leaving a tip, what was I thinking?), I asked if one of the crepes had the bananas on the side and if the small hazelnut was included. I was reassured everything was perfect. When I got home and saw the Hazelnut, which was almost comical because they charged $4.25 for it, it becomes apparent that they had forgot to put the hazelnut spread in the two hazelnut and banana crepes .... we got two boxes with just crepes in them. I called back to ask WTF and the same employee put me on hold to go talk to the kitchen and came back and said they got really confused because we asked for the bananas on the side of one of the crepes so forgot to put in the hazelnut spread for the two crepes. Now the kids are starving so we decided to divide up the pathetic "extra hazelnut" we did get and get on with our day. The employee said she was awfully sorry but if I would make another 40 minute round trip they would give me some hazelnut "for free", to which I reminded her that I already paid for the hazelnut. We decided to just finished our cold average breakfast and wrote it off as a chain restaurant with a bad culture that probably flows down from the manager or owner operator. This location need to train their staff to put the customer first. This all happened because they wanted to charge $4.25 for 50 cents worth of hazelnut spread (which I offered to pay for!!!). They have been around for many years so hopefully they can wise up and change the culture there. With a 3 Star (and dropping) rating on Yelp, I'm not holding my breath.

Sunshine Panini Crepe. Fruit, eggs, crepe and I had to choose bacon because why wouldn't I?.

After my coworker gave rave reviews for the Cora Restaurants, I have always wanted to try. I finally made it, several years later. I felt safe and comfortable my entire time dining at Cora in Coquitlam. They restaurant had a lot of square footage and available dining spots (some outside on the makeshift patio area). We arrived at the perfect time and spent ten minutes, tops, waiting in line. Signs directed traffic one-way through the restaurant. Plastic partitions were set up between tables/booths, all staff wore masks and the menu was digital. The restaurant was busy, but never did it feel suffocating. The only anxiety we experienced was trying to decide what to order for brunch, there were so many great choices. The boyfriend settled for "Paul Wants it All" and I eventually settled on the Sunshine Panini-Crepe. I have a preference for a more savory (vs sweet) breakfast meal, and this did not disappoint! The cheese was perfectly melted, paired with the not too oily bacon and eggs wrapped in crepe perfection. There was a generous helping of fruit on the side so it made me feel like this was a healthy choice. Selfishly, I did wish there to be potato wedges included (or even an add-on option), but I could not have it all. The boyfriend on the other hand, did go with "Paul Wants it All". I tried a bite of his waffle with fruit and mouth watering cream. One of the better waffles I've had. Overall, this place is a win. A good modest place for breakfast/brunch/lunch with generous portions and prices that are reasonable. Going back again is worth it even just to try more menu items.

The Cora Breakfast Restaurant is located on Lougheed Hwy, in Coquitlam. There are many restaurants and shops in this area. So, people could easy to find this restaurant and park cars. We always passed this restaurant on our way grocery shopping in Coquitlam Center. My family and friends have been to this location for the breakfast twice since we moved to the city of Port Coquitlam. Due to COVID 19, the Cora Breakfast Restaurant doesn't have a paper menu. Once you are in the restaurant, you can use your cell phone to screen the codes on the wall access the digital menu, which is very cool. But, it will be harder for seniors. My husband ordered Surprise, which is made by egg, ham or bacon and swiss cheese sandwich dipped in French toast batter and served with fresh fruit. My friend had Louis the Undecided, 2 eggs, bacon and potatoes served with a scrumptious crepe filled with bananas, strawberries, and creamy cocoa-hazelnut spread. For me, my most favorite dish at the Cora is still Smoked salmon, poached eggs on an English muffin covered with hollandaise sauce served with potatoes and fresh fruit. All the dishes come with fresh fruits. Very yummy and healthy. The price of the food is not too cheap, but reasonable with a large portion. All the food at the Cora Restaurant is healthy and delicious. I enjoyed my breakfast there.

I. Disclaimer: I have not been compensated for writing this review in any way shape or form by anyone II. Overall: LOVELY !! You won't find a better Breakfast and Brunch Place in PoCo or anywhere within 1/2 hr driving distance. Lovely Fresh Food, Lovely People, Hopping Place.. III. The Food: We ordered quite a few items including Fruit & Waffles, Egg White Omelette, 10 Star Omelette and everything was made on site, fresh and You could TASTE how fresh everything was across the board. The fruits were freshly cut, You can see them cracking fresh eggs and making all the egg dishes. There was no oily residue in the eggs and the bread was freshly cut from the Loaf as well. The Guys Know How to Do It Right !! IV. Service and Ambience: This was our third visit to this location and not a single bad experience with Service. The Server was super kind and understanding, explained everything very well and stopped by multiple times to check in and made sure we had everything we needed. The place is ALWAYS hopping and the establishment may look small from the entrance but as soon as You walk in, there's tens of tables and there's always a line of people waiting to get in. This is the kind of place like the Sammamish Cafe, where You bring Your family in on a Saturday or Sunday for a nice hearty Brunch, get treated well and don't feel nauseous because the quality of food is that good. I plan to eat here whenever I am in that area !!

While my family was in Canada on vacation, we had the opportunity to try one of the Cora restaurants. We were looking for a breakfast family-friendly place, and found Cora via Yelp. I am so glad I ran across this place as it was one of are restaurant highlights of our entire vacation. It was very hearty and delicious. The quality of food was great, and the restaurant was very bright and lively.

Bland Omelette, single Benny and outrageously priced pancakes.

Somewhat disappointed at how expensive it is for a subpar breakfast. It's similar to Ihop but with more fruits which I didn't really eat because most of it was not ripe (nor organic.) My Benny's was okay and my friend's Western omelette was dry and lacked any noticeable cheese. A side order of two small pancakes were $9!!! And I can tell it's made from a mix. For two people it came to $50 including tax and tip. I've been spoiled by Redwagon and other non-chain eateries which are far better than this chain. I cannot understand the lack in taste from these high raters. Too expensive for little quality. Service is the only good thing going for them.

Awsome to the max times infinity!!! Picture says it all. I had the Mountain Of Bananas waffle and Olga had the Eggs Benny with salmon. Tones of flavour and it looks just as pretty as it tastes. The only issue you will have is making a choice off the huge colourful menu. The best breakfast and brunch place on the planet!

Cheery colorful wall decor

Location: has parking in the strip mall type environment but can get very busy on weekend, many restaurants and shops beside it. Parking lot gets full on weekend. Ambiance: fun fun fun , colorful, cheery, yellow walls, fruits on the counter when you first enter. Colorful pinned on various cartoon decorations. Sooo happy and perfect for families and kids of all ages!! You will smile, lights up your day this smiley decor. Service: on the day we went, vast majority of young highschool and college age servers, mostly females. They are nice and very efficient as it is very fast paced at brunch/lunch time on the weekends. Our service was super nice and very efficient!! Add: you get the bill at your table and pay in the front by the entrance. Separate door to exit from as well. Food: delightfully plated, cheery food. Eggs benedict with tomatoes, bacon and green onions and also burrito crepe, all sooo fresh ingredients and served so quickly as we were tight on time. The fruits with eggs benedict are plated in a smiley manner, see photos...loved the potatoes that were peeled and pan fried, not greasy nor oily. Delightfully cheerful Cora!!!

Pancakes with cherry sauce. The best pancakes I've ever had. Merci, Cora!

If someone asked me to go for brunch, 9 times out 10, I would say "Let's Eat!" Brunch is breakfast for night owls like me and I love breakfast! Luckily, I found myself near Cora's on Lougheed in Coquitlam at 2:30pm today; 30 mins before they closed so I figured I had to rush to maximize my brunching experience. Parked the car in the spacious plaza parking and made a bee line for the door (I figured they can't kick me out once I'm in.) Was sat down in a booth by a real friendly hostess and took our drink orders. I thought I was going to have a typical "trucker's" fare but the cherry pancakes caught my eye. Of all the times I've been to Cora's in Quebec, Ontario and BC, I've never had their pancakes so I was giddy in anticipation. The coffee wasn't fresh and the orange juice was watery. Refreshments were disappointing so I just enjoyed the peace and quiet. (It's normally very loud in the morning and at lunch.) The place is bigger than I remembered and very clean. When my pancakes arrived, my eyes must've popped out just like the cartoons. They were massive, plate-size 3 stack covered in shiny, luscious dark cherry sauce with plenty of fresh pitted Bing cherries. It looked like the birthday cake I always wanted! After breathing in 3 times, I dug in and the pancakes were heavenly. They were soft, fluffy and very light. The sauce was sticky and surprisingly not sweet which was how I preferred it. The cherries were very fresh; skin still had a crunch and the insides were firm and sweet with a bit of tart (where did they get them!) I was able to eat half and dreamt of eating the other half on my way home. By the by, I also ordered pork sausages on the side but they were just ok. Tasty....must come back more often.

Quick to get in Saturday morning. Quick friendly service. Large open restaurant means a fair bit of background noise. Eggs Benedict with ham very good. I prefer shredded potatoes but their roast potatoes were very good. And so much fruit. That was the kicker. You'll enjoy this place overall.

The vibe is fun and stylish a good spot to bring your girlfriend or someone special. The menu has a lot of variety, and the food was well prepared, but personally, I wouldn't come here starving. Portions were decent, just not a place I'd go if I was extremely hungry. Drinks were a highlight and definitely add to the overall experience. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a solid brunch spot with good energy. Best enjoyed when you're looking for a relaxed meal, good drinks, and good company rather than a heavy, filling feast.
