Love eating here. Such a great place to have a healthy breakfast. Fruits are always fresh! I've been eating here several times and I never had a problem till today. I imagine there is a fruit laden level of hell that exists as a pure mimic to every Cora's restaurant. The chosen colour scheme is atrocious and should stand as dire warning to all who enter that the food here is as plain as a table top game of Pac-Man. The terrifying look is completed with torturous spears of tasteless melon, chevron cuts of apple stacked like spiked death and the driest strawberries that have ever been plated in British Columbia. Every single dish lacks the needed care to elevate the experience past anything but subpar. I can only imagine the appeal is meant for children that have yet to develop complex taste buds or older people that have lost most of their sane ones. The omelet's are flat and chewy, the eggs benny is smothered in a gelatinous hollandaise and the crepes make everyone weep for the suffering they are about to endure. The table service is passable because the staff are trying to accomplish a lot with very little. The food often comes out slow, not warm or at odd increments because it's a literal madhouse. Your sanity will slip away faster than your patience and you will regret how much you have paid as soon as you see the bill. If I am ever tasked with buying a secret Santa present for my worst enemy, I would buy them a gift card to this restaurant. read more

Forget the Rooty Tooty... go for the Fresh and Fruity Coras :) The first time I went to Cora's I was in Toronto. Oh my... Yum! To my excitement, Cora is now open in BC! :) A great place for greasy breakfast, along side a huge array of fresh fruits to limit your guilt! The crepes are delicious! I ordered one with nutella and bananas... It was the size of half my arm (wrist to elbow). Apparently, there were 3-4 bananas in that one crepe. They really focus on using local ingredients alongside fresh seasonal fruits. read more

The only reason I gave Cora's a single star is because yelp wouldn't allow me to give it no stars. This place is horrible. The food is at most IHOP quality, but the prices are far more expensive. In order to distract you from the horrible food, they disguise your plates with fruits. Your initial reaction is to say "WOW FRUITS. HIGH QUALITY". WRONG. The fruits only give your palette a break from the rubber on your plate that is called "eggs" on their menu. I would advise you to go to Mcdonalds. At least you aren't tricked into expecting reasonable quality food. read more

I think i may be the only one that thinks Cora's is over hyped. Who knew breakfast could cost me $20 and have a line up that wrapped around the restaurant outside. I ordered the Ham Eggs Benny, it was alright, the fruit was a nice touch but for 12 something? Damn... I guess i could have had eggs and fruit for 7 bucks but the way they plate it...maybe that's why it's so $$$. For $20 bucks you can go to Amigos, not wait in line for 30minutes and feed two people with drinks included. OR better yet, go for dimsum. I thought IHOP was an expensive casual breakfast joint. I stumbled across this new breakfast and lunch place this morning. I was pleasantly surprised to walk inside a spacious, clean establishment with lots of smiling faces. The menu selections for breakfast/brunch were amazing -- I can already tell I'm going to love having this place in my neighbourhood. Apparently it's a franchise that's quite popular in Montreal. The menu options present a healthy twist on your traditional breakfast foods. They have crepes, french toast, eggs, bacon, ham, etc, and most dishes are served with fresh cut fruit (not that syrupy junk most restaurants try to sell as fruit salad). The food is tasty and the portions are large. My only dislike (and it's a biggie) is that sound carries way too much. I feel like I want to wear earplugs in there because it's just way too noisy. I'm a sucker for fresh fruit, and each plate is littered with the stuff. For almost every dish here, you will get a generous portion of fresh fruit: grapes, bananas, cantaloupe, honey dew, and strawberries. The portions are quite large, too. The crepes are enormous, much bigger than De Dutch. The service is pretty efficient considering the restaurant is so large. I like having the crepe omelette. This breakfast restaurant is very busy on weekend mornings. At least that has been my experience. I've had to wait in line. So maybe weekend mornings isn't the best time to go, but often the near by IHOP is busy too. The food is fresh and well presented. As you can see in the photos posted. Which are accurate. The cost is pricey for breakfast food. Most of what I saw on the menu was $16+ from my memory. I would recommend this place for maybe family visits or some semi-special events rather then casual dining because of the prices. The service and atmosphere are pretty nice. read more

My wife and I decided to make the trip from South Burnaby to see what Cora's was all about. I was pretty excited after seeing some pictures with lovely fresh fruits. We weren't expecting the restaurant to be as large as it was. It is very family oriented and very noisy and busy in there. I tried the Brie and Mushroom Eggs Benedict while my wife tried the Strawberry Crepe. My Eggs Benny was cooked nice and soft, just the way I like it. But overall it was a just a very average Benny. The fruit on the side left a lot to be desired. The apples were soft, orange was a bit dried out, pineapple slice was super thin, strawberries could be more ripe, and the kiwi fruit was not ripe at all. My wife's crepe also had some strawberries that weren't very ripe. Overall Cora's felt like a slightly fancier IHOP with a bright and colourful décor and a pricier menu. The food was just very average for the price. We felt like we didn't get any value from the food or the ambience. There's definitely a market for Cora's and it appears they are doing well by how busy the place is. But I prefer a more quiet breakfast and the warmth you get from a small bistro or cafe. read more

I'm normally not a fan of chain restaurants especially when it comes to breakfasts, but after a visit to Cora, I must commend it on leaving me full and satisfied! Fresh fruits, hot food, beautiful presentation, and staff that are always on their toes makes the experience at Cora all the more enjoyable. I'm tempted to describe what I ordered and recommend it to you, but I'll let the vibrant menu do the talking. Love this place! It's a little expensive but fresh fruit is always expensive so I don't mind paying the price for a yummy breakfast/brunch once in a while. The food is always delicious and the portions are huge - the crepes especially are always giant! The menu is huge, there are tons of options and everything that i've tried has been delicious! I'm a big fan of the crepes and french toast. I have a couple dietary restrictions and the staff are always willing to identify things that are safe for me to have on the menu or they make suggestions as to how they can alter some dishes to make them allergy-friendly, which is a huge plus. The restaurant can be a pretty loud and it is often crowded, especially on the weekends, but i've never had to wait very long for a table and the food always comes pretty fast so I have no complaints about how busy it is. read more

Cora was recommended by an English friend who described the place as a refreshing breakfast joint that stands out in its food choices ... And it was a positive experience in terms of food and vibe. The food was good, the menu has a very wide range of choices, and the kids loved it. The good twist in Cora is that they have a massive amount of fresh fruits in the course, which adds both flavors and colors to the dish! So I ordered a cheese omelets and it came with strawberries, melon etc. So it was different and I liked that a lot. In my view, the place has a big space for improvement. First the decor looks temporary and it seems like stickers on wall, rather than a themed decor. The other aspect that Cora need to improve is their food presentation, it a bit too messy, has no character! and over-exotic!! so they need to work on that! and I don't mind helping. the first question to Cora to ask, who are they exactly targeting! kids, families, or what? this is a great place for a healthy fresh breakfast. no deep fried greasy garbage here. and they have creton! very exciting. my go-to is the raspberry smoothie and usually share the samria's breakfast (just a ton of fruit and a side of cheese) and then an order of creton. so good! get there before 10am on the weekend or you may have a small wait. staff are fast and friendly! I always ask for a table away from the kids and they usually can accommodate, which is nice because on weekend this place is crawling with families and sometimes there a few too many screaming babies for my tastes. read more

I came here for Mother's Day. About a 40 minute wait which I expected to be long on this day. We were seated at a large round table for 3 people by the exit door, which was a little drafty. Service had good timing and our food came out fairly quickly. It was my mom and dad's first time here and were surprised by the large portions! I ordered the savoury crepe veggie omelette and my parents each ordered the Cora special. The server asked us what type of bread we wanted and I did not realize it came with bread! They offered white, whole-wheat, rye, sourdough and more. We all chose what we wanted and then it came out before our main dish all nicely buttered in a cute little basket. It also came with little containers of a variety of jam and peanut butter. The omelette crepe was delicious. The Cora special came with a variety of food- fruits, 2 eggs, toast, ham, turkey, a pancake, sausages and potatoes. My mom ordered a coffee but they did not bring her any sugar or cream so we had to ask and the server for it and she went to get us some. I also asked for a refill for my water and took a while to come. Understandably, it was busy and the room was filled with customers. I really enjoyed the food here and would come back again! Cora's has bright spacious interior, very welcoming vibes and the staff were all great. Every mother's day (for the past 3 years) we have been coming to Cora's for a family brunch. It is probably the most crazy day for them, and of course that's why we have to wait over an hour to get in with our huge party. When we do get in, we are usually starving and want to order everything on the menu! There are so many dishes with tons of fruit options... I'm surprised at how much fruit they end up giving you! (A little part of me wonders where they get so much fruit though, are they full of chemicals? Bought locally? Etc. etc...) but of course I don't care, I still order a nutella crepe filled with strawberries and bananas... my favourite! I have tried the cappuccino here as well, and let's just say that's not their strong suit. For one thing it arrived practically cold... I didn't complain though, I drank it and pretended it was hot. I'm pretty impressed that my entire family got seated together and we got our food at the same time as we are a total of 15 bodies! The service is okay, but again it's hard to judge on such a busy day for businesses. I'm sure next year we will be heading back to Cora's on mother's day... it's our go-to place in Port Coquitlam/Coquitlam. read more

Hard to find much wrong with this fine establishment. Only been here once but I can tell you that the food lives up to its reviews. The menu is quite diverse and everything seems to come with lots of fruit. The fruit is excellent though. Very fresh and tasty. I also like the fact that the menu pictures are exactly what the meal looks like in real life. I can't say the same about many other breakfast food joints. My only complaint are the hours. Pretty much THE place for brunch out in the burbs! This is a chain brunch restaurant so expect the usual: vinyl booth seating, lots of noise, mediocre coffee and all that jazz. The AMAZING thing about Cora is that their plates all come with a heaping serving of fruit! The giant fruit salads would be enough on their own to tempt me back again and again, but the crepes, french toasts and miscellanous breakfasts are actually very decent for the price as well. Another plus for the Coquitlam location is that the servers are quick and efficient so there's never too long of a wait for the throngs of suburban families waiting for their weekend feast. Cora is decent. In terms of taste it seems to be pretty good. Portions are decent but for the price I think it's a bit high for some standard egg bacon toast meals. My BF knows well how picky I am with my food and how much I love fruits. So nearly a year ago, he brought me to Cora, thinking that I would like it. He was right !!!! I came here once before and found the place to be ok, That was a long time ago so I figured I'd give it another chance. I ordered this raspberry crepe thing, (forgot what it's called). It wasn't bad, it just wasn't overly special. The tartness of the raspberries was balanced by the "Cora Cream" but the crepe itself seemed slightly underdone. I was a bit disappointed that this dish did not come with the mound of fruit that many others do. Prices are a bit high for breakfast but not if you consider what other places charge for a small bowl of fruit. Service was adequate. Staff was friendly. I went here for the first time yesterday, and everything was great! The service, the location, the food (which tasted really fresh), and the prices-all 5 star...considering that this is a diner style restaurant. More specifically, the wheat toast was thicker than American style toast, and tasted way better in my opinion. The pancakes and syrup both tasted fresh made and real...verses the frozen pancakes and processed syrups we get in the States. We also loved the free fresh fruit that comes with each breakfast. Loved this breakfast/brunch place so much when tried in April while visiting Canada that had to return and ate at the Cora in Langley this morning. Both were filled with positive vibes, pleasant servers and delicious, eye-pleasing menus. By far the best breakfast/brunch place my husband and I have eaten at with the most comprehensive menu I've ever seen: savory crepes, sweet crepes, French toast, omelets, waffles, pancakes, yogurt bowls, smoothies and the list could continue. They've willingly substituted our meat requests since we don't eat pork and when my husband asked for hot water with honey they brought him an adorable little pot with a mug, lemon and honey packets. If you go to competing breakfast restaurants and always sub the hashbrowns with fresh fruit, you're gonna love this place! OK, if you come close to Cora on a weekend morning, you will wait. And not just for 5 minutes. That line moves slowly. At least it affords you a a view of the kitchen, where the fruit artists are carving away. But then, show me the breakfast/brunch restaurant WITHOUT a lineup on a Sunday morning, and I'll show you a crappy restaurant doomed to fail. I think it's worth the wait. I feel great about stuffing mounds of fruit into my mouth, and not so bad about dipping some in the chocolate sauce you can order on the side. My husband, a definite carnivore, doesn't rate Cora as a breakfast fav, because the plates containing lots of meaty bits certainly don't dominate. However, he always finds something satisfying to eat here. My favs are the daily smoothie, and the Seventh of July french toast dish. This is one of the few places where the kids consistently gobbles up all their food, usually French Toast and fruit. I'm just happy I never have to forbid my kids to eat a cakey plate sized chocolate "pancake" with chocolate chips and whipped cream (from the 'Hop). read more

When you first walk into Cora you get the sensation of walking into a typical "Family" restaurant... Kid's making noise, mom's wiping dirty hands off on napkins... that kind of stuff. Do not despair my fellow proponents of child free dining...take a deep breath and dive in! Once seated (as far away from offending "snot pickers" as possible) you will find the staff very pleasant, efficient and helpful. The menu is filled with an amazing selection of tantalizing combinations. Fresh fruit is abundant! You will find everything from omelet dishes to crepes and waffles as well as traditional egg choices to get your morning started. Fruit, fruit, fruitastic! Not to bad for a chain restaurant that is focused on breakfast/brunch! We show up early afternoon and never really wait long. The portions are huge and a little outrageous but if you are a fruit fan then this is the place to be. Every dish comes with a huge portion of fruit salad that pretty much takes up half the plate itself. The last couple of times we've come here I have ordered the Peggy's Poached, 1 poached egg on toast of your choice, cottage cheese, fruit and 2 additional pieces of toast) I usually skip the extra toast as it is a little too much toast and I never finish the fruit salad as it is just too much fruit. My spouse and I absolutely love Cora. It's unique in that you get all your breakfast foods and they are not greasy and you get tons of fresh fruit with your breakfast. The price point is affordable and I even like going in for just their oatmeal and rye toast. The staff is very friendly and quick to take your order. My son loves this place too and he is 9 years old. The variety on the menu from your french toast, waffles, crepes, eggs, fruit combinations - I never seem to be sick of this place. When I go to places like IHop & Denny's I feel pretty greasy after or I have gained a few pounds from my meal. I will be a lifetime fan of this place, its a must try!!! Good Work Cora. read more

I was freshly surprised. The food was extremely fresh. I had veggie skillet it was very flavourful. It came with toast and fresh fruit. So yummy. Also loved the fruit cocktail. It changes daily. I guess what ever fruit they have a lot of. My gf had the daily quiche. It was a perfect balance between filling and quiche. It came with salad and fruit. The coffee was a little week. Not much punch to it. The service was good. But just the bare basics. No smile or friendliness. Very bright cheerful atmosphere. Very casual. A little expensive.
