A good breakfast but a bit overpriced. The service was good and fast. I ordered the big basic breakfast which is 3 eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes and pancakes. The pancakes and bacon were great. The sausages were kind of dry. The price was $27 and $4 for a filtered coffee.

The building looks brand new. Came for lunch with my sister and nephews. The service is very friendly. I orders a whiskey bacon Swiss burger with truffle fries and iced coffee. The burger was nice and flavourful. The fries nice and crisp.

Watermelon salad with grilled chicken add. Would prefer the feta to have more taste to complement the watermelon and chicken.

Always interested in trying something new the lovely K and I checked this place out for lunch. It's a relatively new space, nicely appointed and bright. We were warmly greeted, sat immediately and our server was quickly by to check in with us. I ordered the watermelon salad with mixed greens, feta and added the grilled chicken. It was light, fresh and tasty with the watermelon really good in spite of it being late October. The greens were a little wilted at the ends, which is a common issue and laborious to overcome. The chicken was nicely cooked as well, and the hard boiled egg was a nice add. The feta was a bit of a let down as it was not fresh and was not in chunks which I would have liked to see. There also was not enough of it, although others may differ. K had the Maui teriyaki chicken burger, which was also quite tasty. The ratio of chicken and pineapple didn't suit the bun, so there was far too much bun for the amount innards. The fries were nicely salted, but not too much. Our server was great, checking in us and keeping our water glasses topped up. Overall a nice place with a funky menu that would bring us back.

On a whim (okay and with a local coupon in hand), my husband and I decided to drive all the way out to the Willoughby area or Langley to try the new location of The Hard Bean Brunch Co. Enough parking in and around the strip mall, and the restaurant itself reminds me of the trendy high end place that serves brunch. A quick glance at the menu let us know they had dishes that worked well for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. Unfortunately showing up on a whim meant we had no reservations, and we ended up seated at the bar. That was fine with us, we got to watch the bartenders in action and figure out how many local beers were available on tap. (Several). Husband ordered the Breakfast Mac & Cheese with Bacon while I went with the classic Hard Bean Brunch Co Burger. Overall, I liked the burger. It came with two full sized slices of bacon, not too much burger sauce and skinny fries. A good ole fashioned burger with a plain bun (and not any fancy brioche buns or glazed whatever buns that I don't care as much for). I tried my husband's Mac & Cheese. Portion was a little smaller than I was hoping for, but it did look cute in the little cast iron pan on a plate. It felt a little light and I was a little disappointed in the lack of cheesy taste. We were still happy with the service and prompt arrival of our food. The prices are a little pricier, but not a bad place to go to treat yourself. Remember to make reservations!

I thought it wouldn't take too long since there were only two of us, but I greatly underestimated how many people were ahead of us. Upon arrival, there were still about 20 people on the list ahead so we ended up waiting over an hour. When we were finally seated, service was reasonably quick. Coffee is about $4 for drip coffee and about $7 for a mocha. We ordered both the eggs benny with bacon and the Dutch baby bowl to share. I was impressed by the portion sizes, definitely a good spot to choose if you're hungry! I had to box up almost half of my food as I couldn't finish it all. The Dutch baby has sausage, bacon, eggs, potatoes and salad under the eggs, so it is quite a substantial meal. We both enjoyed all of the components to each dish, but for me, the bacon was absolutely perfect and my favourite thing on the plate. Thick cut, not overly fatty and had tons of flavour. I would absolutely order this again; I just wish there had been a bit more hollandaise. The server managed to always pop up at the right time for coffee and water refills, and was quick to bring the check when I asked for it. It was fairly loud in the dining room due to the number of people talking and eating, but not a deterrent to go back. I'd just try to join the wait list a bit earlier next time.

Oh my gosh, we were out this way, without much breakfast had, so looking for brunch-ish? Ronny's was outstanding! We missed the lunch rush I think, more were leaving than coming in, but I'd say they do a good lunch, or people wouldn't be there. Did I mention they are out of the way a bit? Don't let that deter you, go there, and you'll be like us, will find a way to decide, we need to go to Maple Ridge! I love the interior with a splash of Italia, but decor is full of understanding what the purpose is. It's about feeding people in the traditional sense. You can eat in, take away ready, or take it home warm it up and feed your family. How refreshing it is for us that love the old world mindset. K's Chef's Special with fries was so good. The fries remained hot until the last one was devoured, how do they do that? She ate half the sandwich and had to box the other half. My borscht side with my Turkey BL sandwich was so good I also brought a half sandwich home. I could have finished it, but we would have had to stop for a nap prior to getting all the way home. This might surprise those that have read this far, but we are going back for sure, and you should find a reason to do the same.

Once seated, our server was great. She was quick to drop off drinks and take our order. Food also arrived fairly quickly. The kitchen was fast even on a weekend. I found the food to be a slightly fancier version of IHOP or Denny's. There were plenty of breakfast, brunch and lunch options to please pretty much anyone. They even have a kids menu. I had the c-belt sandwich (cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, egg and mayo) with cheddar and broccoli soup. I found the portion size alright. Sandwich was tasty. The soup was a tad on the salty side. Overall, I think this is a great option in the area. I would consider returning to try other menu items. I really enjoyed the overall dining experience.

I would go back for the food and good prices, but allow lots of time for the slow service.

Really enjoyed my French Onion Soup ($15 I think), also ordered sourdough bread on the side which came toasted and lightly buttered! Side of bread cost a few dollars more. I didn't like their cinnamon twist pastry though, very little cinnamon sugar and it wasn't really flaky. Staff were friendly and decently quick on service. Bustle cafe at 9:30am on a Sunday. A bit difficult to find at Fort Langley as always, but it's worth checking this place out!

Surprisingly, we were sat right away and our server came to take our drink orders quite quickly. All seemed to start well at this point. The place was bright and airy and they had a large menu to choose from. I ended up selecting the white grape drink, but had asked for light ice. The drinks took some time to arrive, but once they did, we noticed that my drink had so much ice in it that the ice was piled above the rim of the glass. My friends and myself were all surprised. I had to clarify with them if they heard me ask for light ice, to which they confirmed I had very clearly. We then called the server over and I reminded him kindly that I had asked for light ice, and asked if he might be able to bring one without any ice at all, if this is light. He was apologetic and said he would bring one shortly. Once he brought my drink, this time without ice as requested, he took our food order. I ordered the chicken croffle without cheese. Within 15 minutes all of my friends food orders had arrived except mine. My friends were adamant on waiting for mine to arrive before eating theirs, despite my objections. Additionally, they had all requested hot sauce for their meals and wanted to wait for that anyway. We ended up calling over the server at least twice to request the hot sauce on top of the first time, but didn't inquire about my meal yet as we all assumed that it maybe just took longer to cook. After another 15 minutes of waiting my friends called our server over and inquired as to where my order was along with the hot sauce. The server looked shocked and said he would be right back. We watched him return to the machine, double check the orders he had put through, and then run back to the kitchen. He promptly returned with my meal, which was now lukewarm after having sat in the kitchen for so long. We then again, asked him for hot sauce, which he went to get immediately and brought back to the table. While he was going to get the hot sauce, I noticed immediately that there was cheese throughout the dish and inquired with the server when he returned if that was in fact, cheese. He said yes and smiled. I reminded him that I had ordered the dish without cheese. He advised he would be right back and took the order with him. After a couple moments, he returned to advise they would have to remake the dish and asked if that was alright with me. I said yes, what else would I say at that point? After waiting another 5-7 minutes and watching my friends eat the majority of their meals (I insisted at this point that they stop waiting), my meal returned warm and correctly made. At this point, I could finally enjoy the delicious meal prepared in front of me. It truly was fantastic. The chicken was moist, the egg was perfectly boiled with a nice soft runny centre, and the croffle was crunchy and flavourful. I would absolutely order this item again. Although I felt the food here was definitely worth it, I would question returning unless I was certain it would be a quiet time for them as it seems the staff might have too much on their plates to keep up with demand. No part of my dining experience had gone as requested initially, and there were errors with my friends requests as well. The staff are very friendly, but unfortunately, the frequent errors and mistakes impacted our experience heavily. Of note, there was no change to our bill or any offer to make up for the numerous mistakes that were made, which was disappointing to all of us.

We were pleasantly surprised that they offer guests access to their full drink menu including their specials. Ube matcha was good, but had a hint of cinnamon which we could have gone without. The matcha mango was also good. The blackberry lavender matcha was too floral for our liking. However, eventually you get used to it and then it becomes more enjoyable. The pandesals were super fresh and we loved both the ube and strawberry butters that came with it. I wish that they came a bit warmer, so that the butters could have melted a touch. I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 sandwiches. I especially loved the arugula on the mozerella sandwich. The blackberry brie sandwich could have used a touch more brie, but was still delicious. The cheesecakes were good, but a bit too sweet. The strawberry was my favorite. I enjoyed tasting multiple flavors. Their red velvet cupcake was extremely moist. The pistachio malasada was cute and flavorful. The filling to pastry ratio was good. I think that the experience could have been better balanced if there were a few more savory items. One thing that we noticed was that all of the pastries including the malasada were cold. I can understand that there are some food safe requirements that need to be met in how desserts are stored. However, letting them sit out for even 20-30 minutes before consumption would have been better.
