A good breakfast but a bit overpriced. The service was good and fast. I ordered the big basic breakfast which is 3 eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes and pancakes. The pancakes and bacon were great. The sausages were kind of dry. The price was $27 and $4 for a filtered coffee.

The building looks brand new. Came for lunch with my sister and nephews. The service is very friendly. I orders a whiskey bacon Swiss burger with truffle fries and iced coffee. The burger was nice and flavourful. The fries nice and crisp.

Watermelon salad with grilled chicken add. Would prefer the feta to have more taste to complement the watermelon and chicken.

Always interested in trying something new the lovely K and I checked this place out for lunch. It's a relatively new space, nicely appointed and bright. We were warmly greeted, sat immediately and our server was quickly by to check in with us. I ordered the watermelon salad with mixed greens, feta and added the grilled chicken. It was light, fresh and tasty with the watermelon really good in spite of it being late October. The greens were a little wilted at the ends, which is a common issue and laborious to overcome. The chicken was nicely cooked as well, and the hard boiled egg was a nice add. The feta was a bit of a let down as it was not fresh and was not in chunks which I would have liked to see. There also was not enough of it, although others may differ. K had the Maui teriyaki chicken burger, which was also quite tasty. The ratio of chicken and pineapple didn't suit the bun, so there was far too much bun for the amount innards. The fries were nicely salted, but not too much. Our server was great, checking in us and keeping our water glasses topped up. Overall a nice place with a funky menu that would bring us back.

On a whim (okay and with a local coupon in hand), my husband and I decided to drive all the way out to the Willoughby area or Langley to try the new location of The Hard Bean Brunch Co. Enough parking in and around the strip mall, and the restaurant itself reminds me of the trendy high end place that serves brunch. A quick glance at the menu let us know they had dishes that worked well for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. Unfortunately showing up on a whim meant we had no reservations, and we ended up seated at the bar. That was fine with us, we got to watch the bartenders in action and figure out how many local beers were available on tap. (Several). Husband ordered the Breakfast Mac & Cheese with Bacon while I went with the classic Hard Bean Brunch Co Burger. Overall, I liked the burger. It came with two full sized slices of bacon, not too much burger sauce and skinny fries. A good ole fashioned burger with a plain bun (and not any fancy brioche buns or glazed whatever buns that I don't care as much for). I tried my husband's Mac & Cheese. Portion was a little smaller than I was hoping for, but it did look cute in the little cast iron pan on a plate. It felt a little light and I was a little disappointed in the lack of cheesy taste. We were still happy with the service and prompt arrival of our food. The prices are a little pricier, but not a bad place to go to treat yourself. Remember to make reservations!

We were pleasantly surprised that they offer guests access to their full drink menu including their specials. Ube matcha was good, but had a hint of cinnamon which we could have gone without. The matcha mango was also good. The blackberry lavender matcha was too floral for our liking. However, eventually you get used to it and then it becomes more enjoyable. The pandesals were super fresh and we loved both the ube and strawberry butters that came with it. I wish that they came a bit warmer, so that the butters could have melted a touch. I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 sandwiches. I especially loved the arugula on the mozerella sandwich. The blackberry brie sandwich could have used a touch more brie, but was still delicious. The cheesecakes were good, but a bit too sweet. The strawberry was my favorite. I enjoyed tasting multiple flavors. Their red velvet cupcake was extremely moist. The pistachio malasada was cute and flavorful. The filling to pastry ratio was good. I think that the experience could have been better balanced if there were a few more savory items. One thing that we noticed was that all of the pastries including the malasada were cold. I can understand that there are some food safe requirements that need to be met in how desserts are stored. However, letting them sit out for even 20-30 minutes before consumption would have been better.

Knowing that L&L Bakery is a family business run by a mother and daughter made the experience feel even more special and personal. Our wedding cake turned out absolutely beautiful and was exactly what we had asked for. It looked amazing and, most importantly, tasted incredible! We also loved having a variety of cupcakes for our guests to choose from, and everyone absolutely loved them. There was something for everyone, and we received so many compliments on how delicious everything was. On top of the beautiful presentation and amazing taste, their pricing was very reasonable, which we truly appreciated while planning our wedding. From what I saw there was a younger lady taking everyone's orders, a man making all the drinks, and an older woman in the back making the bing su. It was packed when I went. The line was out the door but well worth the wait. I'm surprised this place doesn't have more Yelp reviews based on the amount of people that come here. Although there was a long line of people ahead of us, it moved quickly cause the staff was efficient. You could see how hard they were working as beads of sweat started forming on their forehead. The Korean hospitality is just on a whole other level. My group ordered a mango cheesecake bing su, takaiyaki (red bean, apple pie, and cheese custard), plain yogurt smoothie with boba, and another tea which I forgot. Everything was delicious! The bing su was very light and subtly creamy. The takaiyaki was soft and crispy. It's made of croissant so that was tasty. My favorite was the apple pie. The drinks were also very refreshing. I was not disappointed with this place at all.

Mango and coconuts cake was also good. Coconut mouse was light texture and not overly sweet. It paired with Mango creameux well. And I like to have them with chocolate crunch.
