It feels like there's room to be a bit more creative with the menu. One other thing was how quickly they "sell out." Maybe they genuinely do, but it almost feels like they simply make a very limited quantity each day to create that sense of demand. The location also doesn't do them any favours. Parking is difficult, it's right along a busy road, and it's not exactly the kind of place you casually stop at. Overall, the donuts are good quality, especially the crème brûlée, but I personally don't think they're worth going out of your way for.

It was crunchy, which did not go well with the pillowy soft doughnut. I peeled the entire top off, but enjoyed the vanilla filling. Although I didn't like this doughnut, I could tell it was freshly baked and I would return to try their other flavours. There was only 1 woman working in the cafe and she was so friendly. The interior is aesthetically pleasing and seating is comfortable. I went early on a weekday morning so I was able to find street parking, however finding parking could be challenging, especially on the weekend.

Instead I ended up getting their dole whip soft serve which was pretty good and R got a pumpkin spice iced latte as they ran out of their cold brew. I wished that the pumpkin spice flavour was more evident and did think it was a bit too sweet but not sure if it was because they had to substitute a latte instead of a cold brew. Overall not bad but I prefer their ice cream in the park more!

He took our food order first as we weren't decided on drinks yet and said he would return shortly after he put our food order in. My friend ordered the 3 course menu, while I ordered the 5 course menu. He did note that since they were still new at serving the taste of tri-cities menu he wanted to get our order in right away as it tended to take longer than some of the other menu items. A few minutes later he returned for our drink order, and I requested a grape-ade drink (white grape flavoured lemonade?). Another few minute later, he returned with our drinks. Mine was absolutely delicious and reminded me of a particular Japanese white grape flavour that I love. After getting through a third of our drinks, our server returned very apologetic. He advised that our courses were taking longer than expected to be served and therefore we would be able to order another drink of choice on the house. As it hadn't even been that long, we were surprised but extremely grateful for the upfront honesty and quick action on the part of the staff. After another 10 minutes or so, our first course was set on our table. My first course was a soup of the day, which turned out to be a delicious cheddar and broccoli soup. It had some carrot slivers as well, and was a perfectly well balanced soup. My next course, the seared scallops, were brought out quite quickly and were also quite delicious. Admittedly, this was my first time trying scallops so I can't truly review them one way or another, given I didn't know what to expect from them. My third course was the beef arugula salad and although it didn't smell as appetizing given the mixture of plates I had prior, it was incredibly delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and was just as tender and juicy as I had hoped. My fourth course, the red wine braised short rib served with fondant potatoes and roasted seasonal vegetables, was positively to die for. I, admittedly, was stuffed at this point and already knew I'd have leftovers, but I wanted to finish every bite if I was able as it truly was perfection. Finally, for my fifth course, I was given the cheesecake which was rich, creamy and delicious. It was just the right size of slice and finished off the meal wonderfully. I could not recommend this place more given the service, friendliness, ambiance, and quality of the dishes. This restaurant is incredibly welcoming, with something for everyone from morning to night. It's definitely not a quiet spot to do some work or have a quiet chat. Prices for food and drink are standard but expensive for what it is. Good amount of drink varieties. Good coffee. Never expected a coffee shop to make such good burgers. Juicy smashed beef patties with soft brioche buns. Veggies so fresh too. So gooood. Service was quick and efficient and with a smile. Place very clean and organized. Staff members goes around clearing tables and wiping them down. Nice neighborhood coffee joint to simply People watch, relax and unwind. Would repeat for sure! Cheers! I feel there is a shortage of crepes and wish there were more places that served crepe. I will definitely order a crepe on one of my future visits. I went with the Sunny Dish this time in an effort to go low carb and have more room for dinner in the evening. It was a great option and I think my favourite part of the dish is the avocado. It's just always so satisfying to see lovely, green avocado on my plate as avocado tends to go brown quite easily when we have them at home in our kitchen. It's also tasty, healthy and filling...The filling part matters when avoiding filler foods such as pancakes, bread, potatoes...etc. This is such a great place for brunch and really becoming quite a favourite for us now!

Fancy Benedict - No, it wasn't fancy...that's the name of the dish ironically. It was cold, the salmon lacking and clearly someone's first attempt at making a Benny. The Service - We had to ask for everything. There was an underlying impatience with our server....like we were keeping her from something. Finally someone else came by with more coffee. Not the end of the world, but not charming either. This place reminded me of a first year medical student trying to do brain surgery. Education, Experience, Commitment. Then open your doors.
