I went here for some coffee fix and dessert back in February. It was my first time visiting Maple Ridge location as I've previously have visited Langley location once. Gratia seemed like a popular cafe on weekends. There were lots of customers when I got there around 1PM. We ordered Matcha Raspberry croissant ($6.75), large drip coffee and latte. Drip coffee tasted bit bitter. I had to wait in line while staff were busy helping customers. Latte was good, but Matcha Raspberry croissant was too sweet. I didn't know the washroom was at the back at the rear side. Because the cafe was very busy, there was no toilet paper when I walked into the washroom. Staff were very nice and helpful, but my personal experience was just okay. I could've got something better than Matcha Raspberry Croissant. Besides all the staff were too busy and had no time to check or clean the washroom. read more

More than just a sandwich shop!! Healthy choice for a bite when running errands in the day. Grabbed A turkey on cranberry sourdough with a side salad. Super tasty and fresh and the side salad was also notable a nice variety of greens. My shopping partner had great things to say about her bacon & potato (Panini?) Accompanied by a couple of lattes to finish off this great experience. Helpful and friendly staff during a busy time. ....and let's not forget the fresh bread made in house. Such a variety and NO SUGAR ADDED. Tried a loaf of the rye and a loaf of walnut raisin. Both made excellent sandwiches at home. So fresh!! read more

Unbelievably good food and great value!! we had planned to go to jimmy's lunchbox but gave up after a long wait, drove here in two minutes and we were both chowing down on a couple of amazing hot meals within five minutes after getting there. We got the spicy chicken and avocado Panini, done to perfection and absolutely delicious with a good amount of avocado and chicken. The showstopper was the mushroom Benedict though, absolutely amazing and done on a fresh scone instead of an English muffin, the sauce was out of this world. Kudos to them for still opening their doors for reduced hours during COVID-19 spread. Clean and accessible washrooms to wash your hands before being seated but most of their stuff is to go. They have glass display for food storage so basically everything is protected. We found this coffee place open after checking out 3 other coffee shops. So we were so glad to have our dose of caffeine but not only that , we treated ourselves with their gluten free cookie, pistachio chocolate croissant and a delicious pesto avacado grilled sandwiche. Yes , we were not hungry but felt butterflies of hunger in our stomachs the moment we stepped in and smelled butter. ( its a bakery so they bake all the time) Apart from drinks like coffee they also carry alcohol so its not only a coffee n bakery shop but a full fledge all in one kind of place. Menu had so many soups and sandwiches along with salad options and deserts of all sorts. The seats are not lounge type but comfortable dinning style in the pair of two or a big dinning table . Since its a huge space with big glass windows towards a busy main road so u get to have a view of traffic. Back door entrance is also accessible and in fact there are the reserved parking spots for the cafe. I could tell its a quite popular hang out place for all age groups as people would come to pick up their orders as they didn't wanted to sit . The staff is great too. When i requested to heat my coffee , they offered to make me a new one ( i really appreciate that gesture coz other coffee places wont do it rather they would heat it or blame me for not requested extra hot coffee). I was able to finally go inside at this place to checkout and was amazed with all the pastries and bread they sell. I got my favorite Almond Croissant and a Lemon Poppyseed muffin with a Caramel Macchiato and was very satisfied. I believe they're short staffed as the waiting time to get served is around 10 mins. This is a nice little gem tucked in Maple Ridge that one may not come across unless you or you know someone living around the neighborhood! The cafe has a beautiful rustic vibe with the brick walls and large wine barrel tables. It has such a wide variety of Orion from drinks, pastry, cakes, sandwiches and more! It's was such a lovely place to lounge and enjoy all the goodies they have to offer! We ordered the Turkey Cranberry Sandwich + Almond Croissant + Oreo Chocolate Cake + Cream Puff + Pistachio Macaron + Lavender Latte + Caramel Macchiato. My favourites was the turkey sandwich and the Oreo chocolate cake. The sandwich was nicely toasted and also came with a side of salad and served in a cute little pan. Still Gratia Bakery is a gem nestled in a community east of Vancouver and their selection of sweets has most sweet tooth tingling. I happened upon this wonderful little cafe while on my way to the local health food store. What a treat! I ordered a Rooibos Latte and some baking. The latte was one of the best Rooibos lattes I have ever had. The foam was smooth and fine. So great!! The barista knew how to steam milk and it was even soy milk. Super impressive as most baristas allow large bubbles in their finished product. The pastry was good. I liked the combination of flaky with some depth. I would recommend the leek parmesan pastry but not the cherry cream cheese danish unless you really enjoy cream cheese. I was hoping for more real cherry flavour. The salted caramel chocolate tart was yummy, but the caramel is quite runny and flows out of the tart as soon as you break into it. We stopped by here for dessert and was surprised to find this cafe quiet on a Saturday afternoon. There was a good selection of baked goods, ice cream, salads and sandwiches to choose from. I was surprised that you can enjoy beer and wine here as well. We ordered a number of items to try. I ordered a slice of coconut cake. It was moist and a bit on the sweeter side. The macarons were alright as well. Not the best I have tried, but there was a good chew to the meringue shell. The meringue shell should be smoother as it was a bit grainy. The pistachio and matcha macarons flavours tasted subtle but still distinctive enough to differentiate between flavours. The best item was the charcuterie board. It was beautifully presented. There was mustard, tapenade and fig spread, slices of bread, raisins, walnuts, Swiss cheese cubes, goat cheese, Brie slices, pickles and deli meats. Great for sharing with family or friends. Plenty of seating available. Parking at the back of the cafe. Staff were friendly and efficient. read more

Decent coffee and nice pastries. They aren't taking any customers inside but takeout and delivery is available. You can't order drinks in the morning since it's busy but usually in the evening close to closing time they do take drink orders through the phone sometimes. The paste ties order for same day pickup needs to be paid through the phone first and pickup or delivery for a couple days can be paid later on. Their pastries are really nice and a bit cheaper than tricities or downtown but it's a bit on the sweeter side for me. If you are a big sweet tooth, it'll be perfect. The flavours of the baked goods were good, not too sweet but not plain. However, I feel like they were lacking the crispy and flakey texture. It makes a pastry so much more satisfying and tasty when you bite into it and you hear that crisp sound. I'd give the pastries a 3.5/5. The matcha cream puff I've had before was a solid 4! Gratia's has a beautiful layout inside their cafe. Very big and open space with unique and trendy looking chairs and tables! Definitely an "Instagram worthy" place. This bakery/Cafe is a little gem in the heart of Maple Ridge, came here with my wife and 2 year old daughter. We shared a taste of each soup, spicy Thai & Broccoli cheddar. Then I had the turkey cranberry sandwich and my wife had the pizza bagel. The portions were great the food was delicious. The music was nice and not too loud, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was a smig higher then I expected but the food was delicious. Today I ordered a large cappuccino and when I got the coffee it didn't seem like there was enough coffee in my large cup, I asked the person who served me and she asked the coffee barista. Her answer to me was there is 1/3 foam in the cappuccino and 1 shot of expresso, if there's only 1 shot in the large how many shots do you get in a small, 1/2? Well she was adamant she was correct, I didn't want to argue with her but than I found out there should be two shots in a large cappuccino. I am not thrilled by the way I was treated the coffee barista should know how to make their coffee. Hence to say I will not be coming back. I paid for a large cappuccino and I expect it to be made correctly with 2 shots of expresso it was not. read more

Cute little cafe in Maple Ridge! Lots of baked good options with reasonable prices. I had a caramel macchiato which was really good but, I found it a bit too sweet. The only thing I would say is that it is really cute in there but, I found the "vibe" a bit cold. I think it might be from the big open spaces. read more

This bakery and cafe has quite the presence on the block on its own. When you first walk in the doors you will be welcomed by a warm and cozy ambiance. The interior decor are on point with custom made furniture and shelving along with the menu written on a big chalk board on the wall. The baked goods are displayed nicely along the counter and they have a vast selection of bread and desserts! I tried their breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, Kale scone, and the cannoli. I love how the flavours are not too strong but JUST ENOUGH. Also they blew their own cold brew in house and as a coffee-enthusiast, i think theirs is one of the best coldbrews i have ever tasted. Awesome bakery and cafe! They make everything in house and the selection is amazing!! They have lunch, pastries, ice cream, bread, coffee, tea, and even alcohol!! There is plenty of seating inside as well as a 4 table patio out the back. Decent amount of parking in the back as well, with a back entrance. I LOVE the veggie sandy on fresh bread! The quinoa salad and kale salad are the bomb as well. Well priced! The fancy coffees are VERY expensive. More than $6 for a small almond milk latte. I so want to love this place because of the wicked decor and the unique setup however the food was kind of bland! I mean for what I ordered and what the presentation was I was honestly expecting something a little different but it was just okay. I will be giving this place another shot as I live in the city now and there is not much of a selection when it comes to dinning let alone cafes, however for what I ordered (the turkey cranberry sand which and the orzo chicken noodle soup) it was honestly just plain! I didn't get a chance to order any of the sweets however my husband did and he loved the one he had tried, but his feedback of the food was exactly the same. Fantastic. So glad this is in Maple Ridge. It elevates the City and the neighbourhood. Hopefully, this is a sign of good things to come. As with their prior endeavour (Brean and Buns), everything is fantastic. Amazing pastries and some of the best coffee in Maple Ridge (right up there with Coffee Manifesto). What they have, that really is trouble on the horizon for Coffee Manifesto, Delizie Cafe and several others in downtown, is that the space Gratia has created is beautiful. You want to spend time there for as long as you can. Everything we had was great, cannot go wrong. The Pour Over coffee was quality. A little too expensive, given that Revolver (the best Coffee in BC) charges less, but other than that, very, very good. The Almond Croissant was excellent as was the Jalapeno Foccacia Bread, the Cherry Greek Yogurt pastry, the salted caramel pastry, the breakfast spinach wrap and especially the Croissant. Wow wow wow! This place is insanely good. The menu is small and the decor is sweet and simple, but damn, is it tasty! My fiancé and I stopped here for a quick bite after hiking at Golden Ears and ordered 2 sandwiches and a slice of cake: the Roasted Turkey on Cranberry Sourdough and the Roasted Chicken on Asiago Focaccia and the GF Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake. We decided to share half and half which was the best decision we made! I started with the turkey - savouring every bite - and stopped part way through because there was no way the chicken was going to be as good. SPOILER - it WAS!!! The cake was excellent too.
