    Pistachio latté and butter scone.

Great place to meet up with friends! Stopped in on a rainy day last week and enjoy a delicious pistachio latté and opted for the very naughty but extremely delicious butter scone. Both were excellent. My friend had a lavender hot tea and a breakfast quiche which she enjoyed. So many lovely looking options, would absolutely come back. Thank you!

I've been a big fan of the hot chocolate festival and been liking to visit Bjornbar for their creation. I ordered the hot chocolate "Totally Bananas Over You". Unfortunately I did not have a good experience this year at all. With the price of $7.75, the portion is very small compared to other hot chocolate drinks participating in the festival. (Looks like a kid size rather than regular sized cups I can see other people with other drinks use). The taste was mediocre and nothing crazy and on the sweeter side. Another thing is that in other stories & posts shared on social media (Instagram), all hot chocolate comes in a full piece of cookie. Mine only come in half as shown in the photo. This inconsistency doesn't feel right or fair at all while paying for the same thing. Will most likely not going to go back again.

Every time I have visited this location I have had a fantastic experience. The location is well designed to allow for quiet conversation and contemplation in one area with louder laughter and conversation to happen in another area. I appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff were when I was unable to decide what to order. There were numerous sweet and savory options to enjoy. I ordered the omelette muffin and the ham and cheese croissant to start. The omelette muffin was a little dry, but had a good balance of flavours and was quite appetizing. The ham and cheese croissant was delicious as expected. The croissant was flaky and buttery and the ham and cheese were fresh and combined perfectly with the croissant. As I enjoyed my savoury options, I paired them with a Bjorn the Bear hot chocolate which had mild notes of orange and came with a dark chocolate biscotti for the hot chocolate festival. I'm not a huge fan of biscotti generally but I did quite enjoy this one alongside the hot chocolate. To finish I ordered a black forest bar. I expected the bar to have a more cherry flavour but it did not. It was primarily chocolate with a very small hint of black cherry. I would likely order a different bar next time. Overall, I had another wonderful visit and will be sure to return again soon!

I've been here several times, and I must say I really enjoy it every time. Their Americano is perfect; their environment is lovely and the service outstanding every time. We enjoy their pastries and savory breakfast sandwiches. My favorite has to be the cinnamon bun topped with sticky caramel and toasted pecans. It really hits the spot on a Sunday morning.

Lately, I am growing disappointed with Bjornbar. Couple noticeables: 1. Price creep or product shrinkage. The baked goods are decreasing in size, though the price has not gone up in the past six months . (That's ok point as average Canadians can eat less or cut down more on sugar.) 2. High turnover rate. I don't know if it is the generational myopia (super sense of entitlement) or gender myopia ( gender superiority complex) I find most customer service interactions fairly unpleasant. There's no greetings, no thank-yous, Just servers in permanent grumpy mode. 3. Pre-tip. I am not against it totally but witness many staffs standing around chatting after customers leave. They don't bother wiping up the tables. If they are going to ask for 15. 20, 25% tips upfront, I have the right to treat it like a restaurant/hotel. I am not cleaning up my table when I finish.

Yummy dessert! Friendly service! Cozy ambiance :) Calling for Chocolate lovers or dessert cravings. Chocolate makes me happy and I enjoyed their little box packaging for their dessert bar so I will always stop by for a dessert bar when I am in the vicinity of Burquitlam. Well-lit space to chill and hang for an afternoon coffee over sweets tho I usually go in and out just for a dessert bar to go. I have ordered their savory sandwich once and enjoyed it too. They offer free wifi and parking or you can leave car by sky train parking lot and walk over. Check it out and see which is your favorite dessert bar flavor.

Ambiance: 2.5/5 Service: 2/5 Food/drinks: 3/5 I've been to Bjornbar twice now and while the pastries are good, I've been pretty disappointed with the drinks, service and space as a whole. This time around I went with my mom and grandma on a Saturday around 4 for the hot chocolate festival. We were super excited to try both of the flavours they had so were a little disappointed to find out that they had sold out of the almond hot chocolate (even though they weren't closing for another 3h). Regardless, no worries, it's understandable. As we were deciding what other drinks to get, the staff member at the till was audibly sighing even though there was no one behind us so we weren't holding up the line or anything. We settled on getting chai lattes, a zucchini loaf, as well as the tropical hot chocolate they still had. When the drinks were ready, we noticed that the lattes were barely lukewarm so I had to line up again and ask if they could please remake them. The second time around I spoke with a different staff member who was friendly and they came out hot but didn't taste great. The loaf was delicious and the tropical hot chocolate was pretty good as well so no complaints there! As for ambiance, my biggest gripe with this spot is that while it's super cute inside and quite large, there isn't as much seating as there initially looks like there is so it's almost always a struggle to get a spot. When you manage to find one, the chairs are laid out in a way that you're always in the way of the table next to you and it feels tight. As well, the washroom was a nightmare as it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while and was out of toilet paper. Overall, while the pastries here are good and it's nice to have a cute cafe in this area since there aren't a whole lot, I've been disappointed both times I've been so I won't be going back.

It was my first time to visit this new coffee shop and bakery in Burquitlam. It has commercial parking for public at the back of the building. It's easy to miss the parkade's entrance though as it's hidden. I got here around 4:30pm. I ordered latte with almond milk and got a dark chocolate bomb for snacks. Both items were fine in terms of quality and pricing. It has indoor and outdoor seating areas. It is quite spacious. Burquitlam does not have many coffee shops like this yet. It has less competition at this moment. This area will have many high rises or residential buildings in the future. Hope this coffee shop and bakery will keep up with the good vibes and continue serving in this neighbourhood.

I tried this place again recently as I had another 25% off coupon. This place had gotten considerably worse with increasing prices like $15 for any lunch item like grilled cheese, quesadilla, and beef dip. The quality of food has dipped, I will not be giving this place any more of my business. . The grilled cheese was inedible, it was SO greasy. The cookie had multiple hairs in it. I carefully removed the first hair and I didn't think much of it. However I noticed other pieces had hair so I took a picture. The ambience and service is fantastic but their lunch food and desserts were disgusting.

Love this new Bjornbar location in Burquitlam! Super convenient to get to (right by the skytrain station) and also has an underground parkade! Although, there doesn't seem to be an obvious entrance back into the parkade from street level. Bjornbar itself is attached to one of the apartment buildings and the interior design is quite nice. But more importantly, they have SO MANY pastry options! I'm overwhelmed every time I go. Everything you could hope for from croissants to cookies and all sorts of baked goods as well as savoury options and sandwich options on the menu AND obviously their lovely bars. So much to choose from, so I definitely have to go again. There's usually seating but it does get busy throughout the day. Sometimes they give you a number, sometimes you have to get your own food so it seems like they don't have it all figured out yet still. Also an interesting note: they do not seem to check for vaccine passports. I've been twice and no one checked either time.

Cute bakery by the burquitlam skytrain station! Once you walk in, you are greeted by an amazing display of baked goods. Hard to choose just one but I opted for the apple bomb that day. Great flavor, texture, and goes great with coffee. Check out the drink menu when you come in before you get to the cash register!

I've been passing by this new bakery daily and was very excited to find out that today was their first opening day! I obviously had to sprint to the bakery as soon as lunch hour hits and was so happy to see they still had plenty of goods to choose from and a small line of two people in front! I ordered the Pistachio Jalousie + Spinoni Bar + Brûlée Bar + Pistachio Bar + Brownie Bar. Bjorn is popular for their dessert bars and they have an amazing variety to choose from! There is soo many you honestly will want to make many return visits to try them all! My favourites so far are the brûlée and pistachio! Very creamy and sweet - goes great with some hot tea. Friends also recommended their ganookie that I completely missed and for sure have to make a revisit again to try those out!

First time at this bakery and I was very impressed at the baked goods selection. I ordered tomato basil soup, chocolate croissant and limeade. The tomato soup was creamy. The croissant was very buttery. The limeade was refreshing. It was a tasty light lunch. There is a decent amount of seating inside the bakery and outside. Parking in the area is limited. There is retail parking behind the building.

The matcha latte here (~$5.50) also was better (less milky and had a stronger matcha flavour) than some other cafes in the area. Overall, a pretty solid cafe in the Coquitlam area though you might need to check ahead for pastry availability.

She then responded that the bread is Japanese style. Like, which is it? Korean or Japanese? After consulting Gemini AI, the two styles are fundamentally the same but the texture is different. Regardless of Japanese or Korean style, I got the original and black (squid ink). I honestly don't see what the hype is. It's essentially just butter roll with salt sprinkled on top. Lol.

I also liked Mochi mochi bread which had very chewy texture like mochi, but this time, I felt the one I had in the past tasted better. However, Rich bread was very good.
