We went 2 hours before closing on a weekday and they were pretty busy. The coffee and the sweets were delicious. The almond croissant wasn't bitter, and it had the right amount of everything. The layered red velvet cake was light and not too sweet. It's a mix of fancy and traditional cafe. You have to wait for your dine-in order and get everything at the counter before you have a seat. But the vibes are on the fancier side. Usually fancy cafes give you a 15-30 minute warning before they close, because it's easy to lose track of time when you are with friends. It wasn't until the store was closed that they came and told everyone the store was closed and they had to leave immediately. So everyone in the store was frantically rushing to empty their cups and plates and put it in the dirty dishes pile. Parking 3.5/5 Food 5/5 Ambiance 4.5/5 Service 4/5

Have been here 3 times already.. brought my hubby and family friends, consistently providing delectable , delicious, fresh and exquisite pastry selections. They also have fine coffee and gelatos. Highly recommended

Nothing beats eating a croissant and having a cup of latte on your day off! We went to Burnaby Heights to satisfy my craving. We actually walked past two other cafes before deciding to go into Fior Di Latte. The main reason being we say one empty table. It's a decision I don't regret! They have so many croissant and dessert options to choose from. My eyes glow seeing the giant croissants! The special flavored croissants are around $8 each. I ordered the crookie which has cookies as filling. The croissant is flakey but I think it would be better if it warmed up a bit. I also ordered a lavender earl grey croissant to go. That croissant is bigger than my hand! Aside from the croissants, I ordered a blue matcha latte because I am curious of what it tastes like. My verdict is that it just tastes like milk to me. I don't taste the matcha. Hubby likes his latte though.

Wow! Burnaby Heights/East east Hastings is doing really well on their bakeries/ice cream cafes. Ample street parking at FDL, plenty of room to relax with your pastries and coffees inside. I had take out and tried the matcha pinwheel croissant and it was so delightful. Crispy flakey exterior with very generous dense sweet cream and matcha filling. One of the best I've had so far. Peach Danish was surprisingly excellent, their filling had almond flour and almond extract that reminds me of frangipane filling. Looking forward to trying more items.

My latte & oatmeal/raisin cookie was great, coffee tastes great, how I like my coffee, has the natural nutty flavor from the beams. Service as on par, can't beat a small business. Inside looks rustic, bright and spacious.

Came here on a whim to catch the last bits of summer! I tried the chocolate sorbetto and pistachio gelato. The chocolate was very rich in chocolate flavour, and it is not for those that don't want to eat straight up chocolate ganache, because that's what it tasted like, and I loved it. The pistachio was nice and refreshing, and had a light nutty flavour. I don't love pistachio that much in general, but I wanted to try it here since it was highly rated. Cute gelato shop, I would come here again!

    Double baked hazelnut croissant

One of my favorite cafes to study and chill. They have tons of plugs and also GREAT baked goods I tried their double baked hazelnut croissant. I think it's good to share, eating it alone might be too filling. I think the hazelnut inside can be a little too sweet though. They do run out of baked goods in the afternoon, so make sure you get it fresh! :)

Selection of baked goods is excellent. Coffee is their specialty. I enjoyed their decaf flatwhite.

Coffee is specialty, good baristas recommendations. The decaf is underwhelming. Good environment gets busy at lunch time

Came here to try a different cafe on Hastings, instead of the other known brand name cafes. It can be a little confusing as it goes by FDL and Fior Di Latte. We were looking for the long name and we had actually walked by as we saw FDL but didn't click that they used initials. The place has some tables by the window and some by the counter. It can get a little tight when ordering as the people sitting at the tables by the counter get in the way if they sit back. We got the cinnamon roll with nuts. I was good but the top was a bit hard. Maybe we got one of the last few of their early morning batch. My wife got a little triple chocolate cake. It was really good and smooth. Next time we go, we will try something different or maybe the gelato (although weather is getting colder so who knows).

Asked the cashier who helped us get our cake and cookie that the malted chocolate chip cookies didn't have nuts. She confidently said it didn't contain nuts. Went home to have it at night and the cookie definitely had nuts and I felt my throat close up due to my nut allergy. This is extremely dangerous!

Delicious coffee, nice ambiance but small space. Lots of ice cream and dessert variety.

This place is also known as FDL cafe on google map which can be confusing as the sign here is Fior di Latte. The array of pastries and sweets looks very tempting. I have not tried any as we usually come here after a meal and I am not that hungry for a proper danish or cake or pastry. The cookie I had was not bad and the coffee was on the bitter and strong side. What I did like so far was the gelato. It was sunny on my last visit and there was a constant stream of customers hovering by the gelato area where we were seated. So choose your table carefully. I had the double scoop -- pistachio and chocolate cherry tiramisu. Both were delicious though I would get the pistachio if I could only get one. It had the subtle nutty taste and was not overly sweet. Along this stretch of Hastings, this would still be my go to place for coffee and dessert after a meal in the area. I still need to try a pastry at least once here.

A wonderful little cafe! I stopped by this place with some friends during our trip to Vancouver. Remember to check in for a free cup of coffee with a pastry purchase! I gave my friend the coffee while I ate the pastry, haha. We parked on the street and walked in. I got the Honey Banana Bread and the Ferrero Rocher gelato. Sooooo delicious! The gelato tasted exactly like Ferrero Rocher but was still a bit light and fluffy. I love banana bread and the Honey Banana Bread did not disappoint at all. I like how it didn't include nuts because I'm not really a nut person. The honey (on top?) was fantastic. Eating the gelato and bread together tasted pretty good too. I will definitely be back to try out their other gelato flavors or get another Honey Banana Bread if I ever visit Vancouver again!

Everything is 100% dedicated gluten-free, which means you can walk in and order anything without the usual cross-contamination stress. For anyone with celiac or gluten sensitivity, that peace of mind alone is huge. But the real star of the show? The ice cream sandwiches. They're hands-down some of the best I've ever had. The cookies are perfectly soft and chewy with a slight crisp, the ice cream is creamy, and the ratio is spot on so every bite is balanced. They feel indulgent, nostalgic, and elevated all at the same time. They also have vegan "nice cream" options, which is such a thoughtful touch. Even if you're dairy-free, you're not stuck with boring flavors -- the vegan options are just as rich and satisfying as the classic ones. The whole place feels like a dream for anyone with dietary restrictions: delicious, inclusive, and made with real care. (That might have a lot to do with the free parking!) Came here with my daughter on a Saturday night. Usually we come to Krave Kulture during the day but this was the first time we came later in the evening. I think it was sometime past 8pm when we arrived. Big, long lineup. Very popular place. We decided to sit in the car for awhile and see if the lineup might die down. Every few minutes I came out, and still saw people lined up. After coming out to check about 2 or 3 times, I realized that a lot of the people in front had gone in, ordered and come out with their orders but that the line was still long because new people kept arriving and joining the line. Wow...I mean, we love this place of course and I guess it should be no surprise that this place is popular since we ourselves love this place so much, but we never knew just how popular this place had become. When we first started coming here a few years ago, it was easier to get in. Seems the lineups have grown. Anyways, we decided to finally just join the line instead of waiting in the car for it to dwindle cuz that really wasn't working out for us. Got to the front, ordered a large Vanilla/Chocolate twist with unlimited toppings. Happy, happy, happy. I really hope they will start opening up more Krave Kultures in other parts of Greater Vancouver. Ahem, Burnaby or New West would be very much appreciated!

I had always wanted to try their New Zealand style Frozen Yogurt. Soft serve was very creamy and the level of sweetness was perfect! And there were a lot of strawberries pieces inside, it was not overly sweet, slightly tangy flavor. In general, I can't really eat tangy flavor dessert, but, this place's soft serve was well-balanced, therefore, I had no problem to have it. And white chocolate matcha coating paired perfectly with soft serve. And I really loved freeze dried strawberries, it was a great accent. One thing that really surprised me was the size!! This time, I was keen on trying their ice cream festival feature. The strawberry ice cream dipped in matcha white chocolate was a dream! My boyfriend got the mixed berry with a fig bar on the side and it tasted mostly like their regular berry ice cream. However, what shocked me was that the ice cream feature costed about $15 after tax/tip per cone. I can't lie I was a bit turned off after realizing how much it cost. Their typical ice cream is around $8 which is already a bit hefty. I suppose it makes sense with rising costs and hopefully, the honour to pay staff fair wages. There is ample seating outside, although it is not the most accessible as it's quite rocky. The vibes indoors and outdoors are really cute though.
