Verónica's Pirogies & Eggs

If you have a craving for pirogies, then grab Verónica's Pirogies & Eggs at Humble Roots Cafe, so delicious! They provide great service, lots of veggie and vegan options as well. Next time, I have my eye on the Cheesy Ponderosa Benny. Super cozy ambience and friendly staff.

Ordered a benny, egg was cooked well. I thought the hollandaise was a bit bland so I ate it with some hot sauce. Other than that it was good! Hashbrowns were really crispy. They forgot my friends iced coffee she ordered but, it was definitely understandable as they were very busy. I would go again and maybe try something new next time!

Excellent food (lots of gluten-free options), & friendly service. I make a point to going to Humble Roots whenever I'm in the area.

This is a cute little cafe. It's out of the way but definitely worth the drive. The staff was friendly and the menu was simple. Beautiful presentation an even better tasting. I recommend this spot!

Flatiron Steak from (Hopcott Meats) roasted fresh garden vegetables.

Amazing dinner. We've been for breakfast before and have really enjoyed the fresh local ingredients. They just started offering a dinner service Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. So, after a very busy day we wanted a local casual dinner and thought we'd give them a try I couldn't decide between the Flatiron Steak from (Hopcott Meats) or the Carbonara fresh Linguine with beef-bacon and organic peas, and asiago crisps. So my wife had the pasta and I had the steak. The steak was cooked perfectly. The fresh 1/4 peppers and carrots were roasted and firm. As an added bonus, the staff were having a contest for the best latte. They offers us a couple free lattes in exchange for our feedback. Simply amazing food and staff.

I have been here a few times now and the food is excellent. Service has been very good each time. Being able to watch the horses in the field across the street is an added bonus

Delicious special called Farmers Skillet. Very tasty and filling!

This was our first time here to this delightful, warm, upbeat & friendly restaurant. Gorgeous art work on display to enjoy. They offer local sourced foods and I think most or all organic. Very good quality and very very tasty! We will return again and again :) One special note that really took our happiness to the next level was that the founder Tyler stopped at each table to say hello and make sure we were happy. That touch is missing from most places and so happy that he takes the time to connect with us. For todays amazing dishes, they were perfectly prepared. One note, the dished had little to no salt, which is good for many people, but we felt the dishes needed some to bring out the flavour to the hash, beans and chowder. Some salt did just that. We didn't find pepper at the table, wanted to add some into the soup but it was still delicious! We ordered a Farmers skillet (yum!), it came with artisan toast and baked beans. The sandwich melt had fresh sliced ham, lettuce, cheese and tomato. An excellent sandwich...just as good or even better than homemade :) Oh and the pickles are super yummy!! and the fresh made New England clam chowder was quite good and not too creamy (which happens to be how we like it). We each ordered coffee at the table, its good and took a couple hot chocolates to go (very yum here!) and a couple of healthy dream bars (extra yum!). Overall we are very pleased and satisfied with everything here ... from the ambience, the excellent food to the quick and friendly service.

This place is amazing. First off they didn't overlook any details- the moment you set foot on their patio into their cafe, even their bathroom is fantastic! The food far exceeds any typical cafe fare. I had the most delicious breakfast pyrogies (stuffed with butternut squash, woah, sooo good!) My fiancé had the salmon eggsbenny (they smoke their own salmon!!!) They have a gluten free vegan dessert which was great after our breakfast. I honestly have never left a review on yelp but this little gem of a place filled my heart (and stomach!!) They'll be even better in summer- they already have a quaint little patio and are expanding with a licenced bar and more seating. Definitely worth the detour off the highway!!

Great humble spot in the woods. Had a lovely chai latte and a muffin. Great for lunch after a hike. Will be back.

Gratia seemed like a popular cafe on weekends. There were lots of customers when I got there around 1PM. We ordered Matcha Raspberry croissant ($6.75), large drip coffee and latte. Drip coffee tasted bit bitter. I had to wait in line while staff were busy helping customers. Latte was good, but Matcha Raspberry croissant was too sweet. I didn't know the washroom was at the back at the rear side. Because the cafe was very busy, there was no toilet paper when I walked into the washroom. Staff were very nice and helpful, but my personal experience was just okay. I could've got something better than Matcha Raspberry Croissant. Besides all the staff were too busy and had no time to check or clean the washroom.

More than just a sandwich shop!!…read more Healthy choice for a bite when running errands in the day. Grabbed A turkey on cranberry sourdough with a side salad. Super tasty and fresh and the side salad was also notable a nice variety of greens. My shopping partner had great things to say about her bacon & potato (Panini?) Accompanied by a couple of lattes to finish off this great experience. Helpful and friendly staff during a busy time. ....and let's not forget the fresh bread made in house. Such a variety and NO SUGAR ADDED. Tried a loaf of the rye and a loaf of walnut raisin. Both made excellent sandwiches at home. So fresh!!

When we sat down, there was another table next to us, and the heater was on at that time. After we bought our tea, the neighboring table left, and the restaurant immediately turned off the heater. The warm air stopped at 7:38 p.m. I'd like to ask--was it because we only ordered tea and no main courses, so we weren't considered real customers??? Is this restaurant really that snobbish???

Atmosphere: on a weekend it is bustling, especially in fall/winter. On the corner of the block it's a great location for people watching, very Christmas and cozy! There are heaters outside as well which makes it comfortable, small bookstore but cozy!
