The parent-in-laws talk about Salmon Sundays all the time, and how the HAD to take us there. We went tonight. This place looks like an old general store with a covered in patio that acts as the dining room. Very quaint. Nothing fancy. The meal was fantastic. $14.99 gets you a delicious salmon steak, veggies, a baked potato (mmm, it's been so long), coffee or tea, and a desert (apple crisp with whip cream or ice cream). It really was delicious! Well 3 years later and still same great food and all - except it's now $17.99. Still a good deal though.

I went to Bruce's today because I wanted to try their famous smoked salmon sandwich. However, by the time I got there they were sold out (but I will go earlier next Sunday haha). I did buy their Colzone and their ham and cheese croissant. I must say the Colzone was so darn delicious and huge! Bruce's is a grocery store plus deli. They have variety of great produce and home made breads. I heard their in house smoked salmon is the best but it was sold out. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and had a great lunch there. 4 stars because the at the store are not very helpful at all. The deli staff members are good but the store staff seem to ignore you at all costs possible. I will go there for the food since I live close enough.

A Maple Ridge landmark. People come from all over the lower mainland for one of their sandwiches. I guarantee you - their sandwiches are the best!! Choose your bread, meat, cheese, and fixings. Bruce's market has it all. To-die-for desserts, home-cooked meals & soup, groceries, gift ideas, and salmon that caught by their very own fishermen. They have all kinds of special events; follow their Facebook page to keep posted. Dine inside or get your meal to go! I would give five stars except for the service could be a lot better and their prices are quite high, which is kind of a bummer for locals utilizing Bruce's as their local market. However, everything they sell is top-quality so us local yocals usually don't mind paying the price. There's so many cool things in-store, you definitely have to check it out!!

This was a great deli & market we stopped by pick up interesting snacks before we went into the nearby Golden Ears Park. Really good chowder.

Da BOMB. Nothing beats a Smoked Salmon Sandy from Bruce's.

Nice grocery store filled with local and organic goods! There's a cafeteria with lots of different breakfast and lunch specials.

I recently did U-pick raspberries here and had a great time…read more Check in at the U-pick hut, read the rules, and go picking. If you need a bucket, they sell them for $1.50/$2 depending on size. You can also bring your own anything - bowls, boxes, whatever. We had to cross the street and walk about 100m to get to the picking area. Blueberries and currants were in season as well. Raspberries grow at eye level so I find them much more comfortable to pick. We were able to get just under 15 pounds in 20-30 minutes, and paid ~$45. The berries themselves were delicious. They also have a store with pre-picked fruit, and a variety of drinks, produce, and other items for sale. The parking lot is mostly shaded by trees, which is great for hot summer days.

Amazing amazing amazing farm. My family and I wanted to go berry picking and I did some research…read more Came across this farm. I love the fact that it's not focused on just one berry. They had raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries and red currants for u-pick. They also has a market with these berries that were pre-picked if you prefer not to pick yourself. The price of u-pick is $3.50/lb. My mum and I ended up with 10.5 pounds of strawberries and blueberries (combined). This place is so gorgeous because they also had a shady area set up with some tables to hang out. There's also a mini kid friendly playground. Plus a food truck on site? Hell yeah!

I haven't been to the former fur trading post at Fort Langley since I was a young punk on a school tour, who had no clue about anything in life especially fur. Anyways, if you're a big history buff & enjoy historic sites - Fort Langley National Historic Site might just be your cup of tea! I find the Village is a great place to escape to & just chillout at away from the bustling Metro Vancouver area. There's plenty shops & restaurants to suit ones taste. The actual population of this area only numbers in the few thousands, so most people in the village on Saturday were typically from out of town local tourists. Of note to check out - Fort Langley Historic National Historic Site, the Little White House (for high tea parties), Saba Cafe (excellent pastries & seafood), Wendel's Bookstore & Café (food & dessert), Into Chocolate Candy & Confections, Republica Coffee Roasters & for those who love eating grass & plants there's Veggie Bob's Kitchen for you. There's plenty more spots available to check out as well. I really enjoyed walking around but keep in mind the temperature here gets hotter than average so - sunglasses & hats are mandatory. Plenty of free parking available = yaaaahhhoooooooo!!! Drive time from downtown Vancouver to here - budget for 45 minutes. Fort Langley - truly somewhere beautiful!

I got some perogies and baked goods to support local businesses. I would only stop by if I was doing other things in Fort Langley.
