Laity Farm is the perfect blend of fun and fall tradition. There are pumpkins of every size,…read moreadorable animals to feed, and plenty of instagrammable photo spots. Hay, hot drinks, and pumpkins all around makes it feel like the start of the cozy season. Whether you go for the animals, the corn maze, or just the pumpkin patch vibes, it's the kind of place that makes you feel like a kid again.

We spent our time at the North patch. Parking was easy as there were attendants to direct customers to empty spots. Once inside, there were a decent amount of farm animals to look at (e.g. goats, sheep, rabbit, chickens, cats, dogs, donkeys). I was surprised to see some cats in cages, but they were chilling and napping. Their space looked clean so it seemed they were well taken care of. There were a number of play areas, a wagon ride, two corn mazes, a forest mini trail with displays, an obstacle course, a concession stand and lastly, a huge pumpkin patch. We bought lunch at their concession. The prices were okay. The food quality was that of a grocery store. My only complaint was that they did not have enough cold drinks. They have a normal sized fridge and the drinks did not stay long enough in the fridge to get chilled. My child really enjoyed the activities and we went on the wagon ride a number of times. We picked out two pumpkins to take home. Overall, we spent a small fortune. It was $12 a person for admission, plus the cost of food and pumpkins. We spent a couple hours there. I think it was worth it for a once a year experience for the children.

Janet gave us city slickers a helmet fitting, quick lesson, and we were off to ride amongst the beery fields, through the stream amongst majestic mountains. She provided a lot of information about the area and horses during the ride. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoy our time with Janet. Lucky and John Wayne were our horses. Thanks for a wonderful ride

Kids younger than 10 need to have a guide hold their horse the entire way, so each group can only have one kid less than age 10. They have big horses that can accommodate up to 240lbs. The one hr ride we went on took us around blueberry and raspberry fields, with really pretty views. For last 1/3 of ride it was through forest area and we got to go through a creek. Wildflowers were gorgeous and we even saw a bear! Around 11 am it was pretty hot and sunny- would recommend big shady hats and lots of sunscreen. Parts got pretty dusty so if sensitive, bring a balaclava. Not allowed to have anything around neck (not even a cross body purse) so consider a Fanny pack if you wanted to bring stuff with you, or a wristlet type attachment if you want to use your phone for photos during ride. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We would go again in a heartbeat.

I had beef brisket sandwich with coleslaw on the side and it was heavenly (copying from another Yelper's review of this place). I devoured my meal in 5 minutes. My friends copied each other and ordered hamburgers With grilled pineapple. They were as pleased as I was! We kept asking ourselves why we haven't done this before. We were blaming each other. This place is an authentic slice of what Vancouver food scene is all about, fresh, fun, fancy yet down to earth, lively and tasteful. The service was delightful. I didn't check if they have desserts. Maybe gelato will Be a welcome addition. Paging the Hopcott siblings (yes we read your family history). We salute all of you and what you do to our community.

We have been going here every year for the last 4 years to cut down our own tree for Xmas. I am a…read morebit of a traditionalist, so I like to do this every year with the peeps I live with. The last three years it has been a pack of four of us, and we usually go get a photo with Santa beforehand, then make our way out here with minutes to spare to chop down our tree. I like this place because it's so close to Fort Langley, and afterwards you can go into the small town and browse the antique shops. Dogwood Tree Farms provides you with saws to cut down the trees, so all you have to do is bring your muscles. They have a large field full of different trees, and I have no idea how they tell them all apart. Each tree is priced per foot, so the taller the tree, the more expensive it gets. The tree we ended up picking is about 7 feet tall and cost about $40. It gets a little pricey when you compare it with just getting a tree at Home Depot or something, but I don't mind paying a little extra for the experience, and enduring the car ride filled with terrbile Xmas songs. If you work up a hunger cutting down your tree, they also sell hot dogs, and hot chocolate, so you can put your feet up by the fire and relax. the staff are always very helpful and super nice, and they usually have Xmas songs playing to help spread the holiday cheer. My only wish was that it had actually snowed this year, since every other year when we have gone to get our tree it has. I think this is probably because we had to get our tree so early this year since some of our housemates are heading home for the holidays. Even without the snow, it is definitely an experience you should indulge in to help you feel the Xmas spirit!
