Cuts are slightly larger than the supermarket kind, but if you do some math you'll find it's actually cheaper than supermarket kind too. I like it here because the meats are great. So fresh you can smell it and taste it (after you cook it of course). I usually get my beef cuts and pork shoulder cuts from here. Chicken is good too. Store front looks like crap, yes, I know, but meats are glorious. Best butcher shop in North Surrey as far as I'm concerned.

Whether you call it Windsor or Heringer's (Google and Yelp seem to disagree about this), one thing you cannot call this place is lackluster: everything from the quality and cuts of meats and cheeses, to sausages, salads, sauces and sides, is impeccable, mouth-watering, and a tragedy that this shop is a five hour drive (and an international border) away from my house. I'm tempted to book a hotel with a kitchenette for our annual anniversary trip to Steveston, simply to have a reason to slap together a charcuterie board for dinner, and really put this shop through its paces!

My strategy is to visit this place first, before filling out the rest of my to-do list with nearby grocers, because the quality is so damn worth it. Feels nice to support them even if it costs a little more IMO.

I first entered this little shop yesterday and…read morecoming from my job in Yaletown all the way out to Surrey ( I am currently residing out there) I was cutting it very, very close to their closing time (7pm - which is very nice that they are open that late to begin with). I gave a call because I was still about 5 minutes away from the shop with 2 min to spare! Matthew Bosch - their manager was extremely kind in staying open an addition few minutes to not only allow me to have time to come and purchase what I needed (with no rushing), explain to me the flavors and mixes I hadn't yet heard of but also be more than helpful when it came to making suggestions as to which products I would most enjoy. I have a taste for the spicier things in life and had requested for him to point me in the direction of where I could find something spicy to enjoy and although they carry Cajun chicken breasts there were non made at the time. When I let him know that I was looking for something spicy however, with no procrastination at all he happily went to the back of the store and quickly whipped me up 2 delicious looking Cajun breasts (how nice of him especially since it was already after hours). The other woman who was working (whom unfortunately I didn't get a name from) was also very kind and helpful in answering any addition questions while Matt was in the back! Just wanted to say that I give this place a five-star rating for their amazing quality meats (which I got to try for the first time last night) but also for the more than exceptional customer service that was provided! So we went in when my friend arrived, just to check out this place. It has many types of meat in the display case. The staff will ask if you need help. The soups were made locally by a shop in tsawwassen and there were only 3 types of soup left. I got the bacon corn chowder. I also saw Mr Cooper's pies which I liked very much. The meat looked really fresh and I bought a pound of honey garlic wings. I airfry them at home and they were so juicy and tender. The bacon corn chowder was on the salty side. You would need bread to go with it, to counter the saltiness. Great place to shop. Very friendly and helpful staff too.
