The food is AMAZING! The quality is fantastic and this little restaurant is the little gem of Orcas Island. The creativity of the presentation of each dish is lovely. The restaurant itself is very cute and inviting. The service is friendly and very professional. We went twice during our brief visit because it was just that good!

The food here is INCREDIBLE. Great price for what you get. Quick service, and a fun casual ambiance. We are just in town visiting but we will be back before we leave!

Great fresh Vietnamese style cuisine. My vermicelli and grilled pork was fresh and tasty - portions are moderate and prices are Island appropriate.

Words can't describe how delicious this sandwich shop is. It's so much more than that. It's like going into a magical world of flavors and Melodie's on your taste buds that you begin to feel right when you step through the front door. Inside the ambiance is very cozy, yet still spacious enough to not feel cramped. Reminiscent of a lounge somewhere in the tropics, which was very comforting on a rainy PNW day. The combination of salt, fat, acid & heat present in their sandwiches, salads and rice bowls; bring a newfound and refreshing appreciation for Asian fusion food. If fusion food needed to set itself to a standard, Westside not only sets the bar, but takes it above and beyond what I was prepared for. The staff was also super low key, yet very friendly, and very knowledgeable about their items. To top it off the owner brought the food out to us himself with a smile. Overall I'd have to say in a place with limited top level cuisine, Westside is the shining star in an otherwise dim arena for what many would consider to be great food (outside the Taco trucks on the island, they're awesome too, but not open as consistently).

You know when your show gets renewed for another season and then there is a budget and openness for creativity? Well that's what it feels like here. Last year it was great food, now it's something else. The interior, the vibe, the food it has gotten to the next spot. Now they're going to have dinner service? Yes and thank you.

While getting ice cream, we noticed an obtrusive business next door & we could see their menu, which looked interesting. It's not a huge menu, but they listed Bahn Mi, rice bowls, salads & bulgogi so it peaked my interest. I ordered Beef Bulgogi & my friend ordered Bun Cha w/pork. Casual dining inside, counter & stools, but table & chairs outside. Everything was delicious! Great service & friendly staff.

Fun place for locals. Limited menu yet everything is great. Tonkatsu was better than SF Japan town.

We stumbled across crèmecart at the Saturday Farmers' Market on Orcas Island. The two ladies who run the crèmecart, Michelle and Sommer, sound like they are regulars at the Saturday Farmers' Market, and other island locations as well. They rotate many cool ice cream flavors and cookie combinations. Their crèmecart Facebook page listed many enticing flavors, including: butter cookie and strawberry cheesecake ice cream; dark chocolate cookie and ginger ice cream; chocolate cookie with: salted caramel ice cream or coconut ice cream or chocolate ice cream; lemon cookie with: lavender ice cream or vanilla ice cream; gluten free almond cookie with vanilla or chocolate ice cream; and on July 4th, Apple Pie Ice Cream Sandies. How fun is that? So, like any food cart, crèmecart is seasonal, and moves around following the crowds. Thankfully, Orcas is a small island, and I promise you, they are worth searching for! Five Stars.

By the time I got there, lots of the ice cream sandwiches were sold out. All of the sandwiches are prewrapped and kept cold in the cart, so once they're gone... They're really gone. The cookie was nice and soft, but firm enough to stay together. The ice cream kept cold and didn't drip all over me. I was such a happy camper with my ice cream sandwich. I sure hope I run into this cart again!!

Very impressive little store full of tons of stuff! Groceries, pantry staples, a small produce section, some premade deli food and cookies. I was looking for the bakery items. A previous review mentioned delicious homemade pastries. Finally as I choose a cookie and a salad for later I see them. A small pedestal plate with pastries. And on the countertop behind the register tons of croissants! I said, there they are! The two ladies working were not impressed. I asked for the flavors and the lady said, there is a menu right there. Ugh, not fully awake I realized a line had formed behind me. This is the spot to go before getting in a ferry. The sign was not clearly visible and I felt overwhelmed with the decision so I quickly decided on a raspberry almond. This is clearly a place for locals. Everyone knows what they want and where it is. Not super friendly vibes, but oh well. Took photos of my purchases back in my gorgeous villa LOL, watch for my next review. Super happy to discover this market! And I love a good market! Happy travels. SYOY!

There were at least a dozen food stalls selling anything from home baked bread, cookies, donuts, Mexican food, and Asian. There were stalls selling arts and crafts which are unique to Orca's. Orcas has a long and rich agricultural history and I've seen plenty of farms and roadside farm stands that stood vacant in Decemeber. I was stoked for summer. Cue COVID.... Well, I'm happy to report that the market was still happening. I'm glad they didn't throw in the towel on it, though from what I'm told it was vastly different this year. Oh, you can imagine that in previous years there wasn't a mandatory handwashing station at the entrance. And I imagine there weren't dots on the ground to indicate where you should wait in order to approach each booth one party at a time. But more importantly, I'm told that the market, even though it's small and mighty in its biggest years, was only very teeny this year. There were probably 7-8 booths there, and that made for a quick visit. Still, we bought some flowers at one booth, and a bar of locally made soap at another, so we did our best to support the vendors who are making an effort despite the restrictions. I have nothing but love for a farmers market, and nothing but admiration for the participants. Though we were only here for a little bit, I'm glad we made it.
