We had a huge party of 12 people and they were more than willing to set up their largest table (and add another two tables to accommodate us all). First time here. First impression...they are struggling with limited staff or figuring themselves out--three waiters (10 tables for 3 to 4 and two tables for 6. Immediate response to walking in was good--"sit anywhere." Then we waited 5 minutes for water and menus, and also the waiter says, "sorry for the wait." Why, it was 5 minutes. Then we watched as there were many take out orders brought from the kitchen to the bar; one waiter on the register, another on the phone. Fourteen minutes later another, "I'm sorry for the wait. Can I take your order?" I hope you can. Our order was taken. Meanwhile, I watched as a man sitting alone walked out with a disgusted look on his face but seven tables are occupied; OH...now eight. Very busy. Surprise...the food came out quickly; barley 10 minutes. The food portion is very good and it was smoke'n HOT. Tastes great too. Forgot the hot tea though. Had to flag down the waiter. Tea brought right away. Instrumental music is playing--almost sounded like the same song was looping? Or it's a 60 minute song. The kitchen is VERY noisy. Much of time that's all you hear. Even better than I remember it. We beat the Valentine's Day lunch -crowd luckily as two infants can be a bit messy (sorry staff of Goji Bistro!) We tried to make it quick and painless for all. My daughter had the Goji Beef. I had the Pad Thai (with Tofu). Mine was two stars (spice level out of 5) and I could have gone higher but the flavor was magical even at 2! So, YES for any moms of infants our there, the tables had room for a stroller to sit next to it and they have highchairs. Great food and service! Lots of parking. read more

Right now, this place is only offering take-out. Unfortunately, their quality has deteriorated since I last visited a year ago. The Goji Beef that used to be thick and juicy now tastes like beef jerky. While the flavor is good, this place must be reducing cost by cutting protein portion sizes. Overall robust Asian food menu that has a lot of Thai dishes. I got the Se Ew, which is a wide noodle dish similar to traditional Pad Se Ew at other Thai restaurants. Except the portion was ginormous. I couldn't finish this and I have a big stomach. They have a small kids menu with either kids chicken teriyaki or katsu. My kid loved the teriyaki. *3.5 stars* My Bellingham food stop is usually to California Tacos but I saw Goji Bistro right next door so I decided to give it a try - variety is the spice of life right? Goji Bistro is unassuming on the outside but inside the space is pretty big with plenty of tables and the inside is casual and easy. We were greeted and got to sit where we wanted. We missed out on the lunch special timing, so we ordered off the regular menu. We shared the On Fire Rice dish and Se-U noodle dish. The On Fire Rice was nothing special, a very typical teriyaki stir-fry. There was quite a bit of liquid teriyaki sauce on the dish and there wasn't a lot of chicken in the dish but there was a ton of veggies in this dish. The rice was decent, not mushy. The saving grace for this meal was the Se-U. The wide rice noodles were really chewy and al dente and the sweet basil sauce that covered everything was really good and tasted pretty legit. The broccoli was still crisp but tender. Such a delicious meal - and for extra carbs, it comes with a side of white rice. The "wok-hay" flavour was definitely present in both dishes, which was very delicious and means it was stir-fried proper. We sat near the kitchen and you could hear and see that fire blaze! Portions are pretty good. Service was friendly. The glasses of water that were served still had the glasses taste like bleach so definitely a turn off. Overall, we would definitely come back for the Se-U and maybe try some of their sushi rolls (they looked pretty great fro other tables) and thai-inspired dishes. read more

And like the Millenium Falcon to the Death Star (but in a good way) it pulled me in with its invisible tractor beam and here I sit with quite possibly the Greatest Bowl of Noodles Ever In the History of Bellingham. (If you're from the Ham, and you have pined for good noodles as long as I have, you know what I'm talking about.) The rest of their menu looks impressive, too. Like, damned impressive. Pretty tasty. My only complaint is they are light on the meat. Otherwise pretty tasty and fresh. California rolls are good too. The place wasn't packed and I was seated at the same time as a group next to me. Then a larger group behind me. A good way to start off an evening! They did prepare the Pad Thai under 10 minutes. The server had asked how spicy I would like it. I requested the highest level. She said they are not the spicy and would include a side of chili paste. The dish was served with steam wisping off the top of it. You could see it just came out of the Wok. They did a great presentation of the food plating. When I tried a taste, I agreed with the server. It was not very spicy. That is okay, as I had the chili paste. The dish was called Tamarind Pad Thai. That would is very sweet as tamarind is a sweet fruit. It would be no surprise that they would make it sweeter because of the name. I had hoped they would have made it more balanced in the flavorings. "Sugar" Pad Thai is what most of the Pad Thai restaurants make around here in Bham. Traditional Pad Thai is more balanced. This seems what most people want here and they cater to it. I do know where to get good Pad Thai in Bellingham. Maybe try another dish one day. The spice on all was perfect as we asked for medium. I think a bit more curry could've been used in those and most places use a bit thicker noodle as those rice angel hair noodles break so easily. The pad Thai was really good and had a kick. The peanuts and cilantro on top were great additions. Big cup of green tea for a buck is always nice. Goji Bistro is tucked in a newer mall just a few short minutes away from Bellis Fair. If you're at the mall and really hungry, take the few minutes to visit this place. My boyfriend and I ordered several dishes which included the Singapore Street Noodles, Ribeye and Rice, the Bulgogi Salad, and a California and Bulgogi roll. Everything was fresh, the right spice level, and tasted incredible. Service was charming and attentive. I walked in to place a to-go order, and ordered Chicken Phad Thai and an order of Gyoza's. The server wasn't too knowledgeable about the sauces used, but was friendly and able to find out from the cooks. The Phad Thia had fish sauce, and was hoping I wouldn't be able to taste it too much, but could, along with the heavy and dark grease. The Gyoza's had a menthol taste to them and wasn't able to eat them. I won't be eating my left overs, and was a waste and disappointment. This place is such a pleasant dining experience. They have a bar and a nice big window. Friendly staff and a good lunch menu for right under $10. I love the Singapore Street Noodles. Another favorite is the Chicken Teriyaki and 8 California Rolls. I like their California Roll. Simple but well-made. It is a very popular place and can run a little noisy and the drinks are a little steep. But I feel like they really nail the concept of Asian fusion.
