We hadn't been to Lee Asian Bistro in Lynden for quite a while, but we're so glad we decided to stop in while we were in the area! We were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in it turns out we were the first customers of the day -- and told to sit anywhere we liked. I had been wanting to try the Coconut Panang, but I was a little nervous it might be too spicy for me since it's marked as spicy on the menu. Our waiter took the time to explain the dish in detail and reassured me about the spice level, so I decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did! It was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Rib Eye Yaki, and it was amazing as well full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Everything from the food to the service was top-tier. The food was a bit bland. I had the Tammarin Phad Thai. The waiter was the worst. He didn't bring us silverware, we had to get up and get it ourselves. Same with the to-go cartons, we had to get them ourselves. Really,he is the worst waiter i have ever come across....and I am 75! read more

Pleased with the meal and experience. It was a cold, rainy evening so the first thing I appreciated when walking in the door was that the heat was noticeably on. If there is one thing I dislike, it is trying to enjoy a meal out and it's cold inside. Service was prompt and cordial. When I asked what was preferred between two dishes there was no hesitation in making a recommendation, although I don't think either choice would have been bad. I had the equivalent to Pad-see-ew. It was good! I base a lot of Thai restaurants based on how good their noodle dishes are since it's such a staple dish. Flavors were on point, the chicken was not dry, and the noodles were not overcooked. The serving sizes were okay, but like someone else mentioned, other restaurants tend to give bigger portions. It seems you can't go to many restaurants these days and find a dish for under $20. This place is no exception. A bit pricey, but it is what it is. Lunch specials have more decent pricing. My son ordered from the children's menu and it was nice that his portion size was decent. He had the chicken and gyoza. It was good! The only small issue was the chicken salad. There was a picture on the of what looked more like an Asian chopped salad, but it came out with lettuce like you'd get when ordering Caesar's salad. The chicken and dressing was good, but not what was expected. Wouldn't order again. Hot green tea was priced well at $1.50. I often wonder where other restaurants get off charging $5 for a simple green tea. :) Parking: ample spaces in a large private lot of a strip mall type shopping center. read more

Definitely Asian fusion... The good: it's good and fresh. Consistent cuts and nice plating. The bad: I asked for a 5 star for heat, I would say that is more like a 1/2 star. Portion size is small compared to competing Asian restaurants. Not cheap. Value is not there. read more

The inside is nice and clean with a plethora of tables of multiple sizes! Staff is friendly and welcoming it wasn't super busy for a Tuesday night but had steady takeout and a few other tables coming and going, now onto the food, the shrimp tempora was yum yum yum, I got the Mongolian beef which was cooked great just for me as a personal preference would have liked a sauce or something as it was on the dry side for a dish but I am a saucy person so again more personal preference! Hubby got the tamarind pad Thai which would have been off the charts good if it wasn't so sweet- again this could be a personal preference thing but if it would have had a kick of heat to balance out the sweet it really would have shined! But on the flip side our baby loved the pad Thai as is and gobbled it up! We will definitely be back to try out some of the other dishes! read more

Service was great we met the manager Gabriel. They have been in this location 2 yrs. It was clean, the staff were friendly, the food was really good. I highly recommend the Gyoza. The Thai fried rice and the Coconut Panang were both good. Not too spicy, just right! We will definitely be going again. read more

I've tried getting pad Thai from my favorite place....Gojis in Bellingham four times but they are never open when I get a craving. So I decided to read the reviews of Lee's Asian Bistro only to find out the owner/chef was previously of Goji's! What!! I had no idea they changed ownership. So I tried the pad Thai and it was so delicious! Exactly how I remembered. I sincerely hope Lee makes it. After visiting the website I was Optimistic. Upon arrival the very cool wooden laser etched menu cover bought hope. Opened the cover to find so many items literally whited out. I consider that a good thing if it's temporary and they are trying to keep fresh stock. TBD. I got the Singapore noodles. I took the family to try this place out. The food is legit. There are very few good asian restaraunts in our area... It seems Whatcom county is where quality goes to die! In this case however, the surprise was a pleasant one. All four of our dishes were fresh, tasty, and promptly served. This was noon on a Saturday, and we waited no more than 15 minutes before our food was at the table. The main dishes run between $15-$20 and kids menu is $10. The portions are generous. We had a problem with one part of the order not being prepared correctly at all and it was supposed to be refunded. They lied about that, the card never got a refund so there is no way to give this over 1 star. That said, everyone who got the correct order hated it. The meat is poor in quality and is prepared like they don't care. There isn't much choice in the area, but it seems like places like this exploit it with bad food. It hasn't been around long, and doesn't really need to continue existing. The people who run this place should be ashamed. The good reviews must have been made by employees and friends. read more

The food is fresh and ample. The service is great. The food is spicy, but negotiable. Talk with the server or even the chef! I plan on going back. It's the best in Lynden. They do use sweet chili sauce instead of plum sauce for the rolls. read more

Lee once owned Gojis, so we were eager to to try out his place in Lynden and it was closer to where we lived. Greeted right away and asked if take out or seating. We ordered Coconut Penang, Singapore Street Noodles and Kee Mao Noodles. Service was prompt and efficient. We waited less than 20 minutes. We knew the food would be fresh and made when ordered. We were not disappointed, the food was delicious, good portions and we highly recommend it. As we were leaving about 6 p.m. the place was filling up. We will return many times. read more

Been here several times. Curry coconut soup is outstanding! Also, On Fire with chicken, broccoli and sprouts (& more) is great! Guests can order one through five "heat" settings on the entrees. Partner and I can not relate others as we always order the two mentioned above. Do yourself a favor and head over to the restaurant near the Food Pavilion on Guide near Kok Street. We were really excited for a new Asian restaurant to open up as there are few in Whatcom that are worth going back to. Their website says they cater to dietary needs yet their staff is not educated in basic questions. Food was ok, noodle dishes lacked some flavor and options for spice.
