Sesame chicken (top) and general Tso's chicken
    Jennifer L.

Family sized portions for a great price. I recommend sharing one plate. Sesame chicken was flavorful but the general Tso's was not tasty. Peanut sauce for the Vietnamese spring rolls was very runny. It should be thick in consistency...thinner than what your normal peanut sauce should be. We also got egg rolls (4) which were good. .

    HUGE prawns!

Yes, it's American style Chinese but you know this coming in. Tucked away close to the hotel entrance and non-smoking part of casino. Definitely too noisy right off the casino floor. I usually end up ordering something with prawns. Tonight was honey garlic with broccoli. HUGE (enough leftovers for two more meals) portions, bold flavors and I always ask for the extra sauces on the side. This is a good value for the $$$. They also offer a lunch menu and specials. Comfy over-sized booths, good service. The manager came to check on us a few times. Next time I will ask for my rice on the side with the garlic prawns. The sauce soaked up too much of the rice, but otherwise tasty and filling!

Shrimp Egg Fu Young, Mu Shu Pork and Panasia Punch
    Melody K.

Why is it that very few Asian restaurants in Whatcom county have bars? My husband and I were craving Chinese food and adult beverages because it was Friday and we both needed a drink. We live in Ferndale where none of the Asian restaurants serve cocktails so we went to the casino (not my favorite choice for dining except for the Steakhouse) and tried Panasia. Aside from the noise of bells and gongs and the pervasive stench of spilled beer and cigarettes and the general ambiance, it was okay. We ordered two rounds of cocktails which came to $32. A little spendy but we ordered a couple fancy schmancy drinks, so that's on us. On to the meal- for starters we had the lobster potstickers. Meh. They were more like a pierogi, soggy like they were boiled, not steamed like a true dumpling or fried like a pot sticker- I'm not really sure what to call them but definitely not a pot sticker. They did have a nice piece of lobster inside but they didn't have any flavor. For entrèes we ordered Shrimp Egg Fu Young and Mu Shu Pork. We got three large Egg Fu Young patties and a nice helping of Mu Shu. No complaints about portions. The Egg Foo Young was cooked perfectly and filled with fresh vegetables and shrimp. The usual heavy gravy was replaced with a light black pepper sauce. Very tasty. The Mu Shu was a bit bland and lacked appetizing color as well. It was just sort of grey and flavorless. The service was exceptional but the ambience was tired looking. Torn seat cushions, dirty floors, dingy walls, crowded tables and the lighting was too bright. (Hint to management-if you turn down the lights people might not notice some of the above deficiencies) Basically it is what it is, a Chinese restaurant inside a casino. Not bad for what it is.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants for sure. The service is fast but the food is amazing here. Their pad thai noodles are the best.

And it helped that it was within walking distance. Upon walking in, the staff let us pick an empty table. The place is rather typical looking for a family-run Japanese restaurant. It was clean, which is the most important thing for these quick lunch stops. - Takoyaki: OK. Good size, covered in bonito flakes. It was quite well presented and tasted fine. My only complaint was that it was close to lukewarm not hot, so it didn't seem freshly made. The greens seemed unnecessary. - Vegetable Tempura: OK. Nothing special. A good tempura batter is very light and airy, but this one was a bit bready. - Shoyu Ramen: OK. Good size, and flavors where there. The pork was the thickest piece I've ever had in a ramen bowl, but very tender, so no real complaints. - Chicken Teriyaki Rice: Not recommended. Chicken was tender enough, but I prefer chicken with skin. Plate was drowning in sauce. Edible, but not enjoyable. Service was simple and nice enough. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Overall, we were satisfied. The food here caters to what locals want and expect, and they generally do a fine job with it. If I was hungry and was in the area, I would certainly consider it.

Short Review: The…read morehomely but Japanese-inspired decor is nice for this restaurant. They followed all COVID-19 precautions, and It's a fair price for a large bowl of ramen. I ordered the "Red Hot" ramen, and I can't say the soup base is the most flavourful, mainly due to the spice ratio being slightly too much, but it's tasty nonetheless. If you live in Port Coquitlam, this place is worth a try. Long review: Ramen Bella recently opened up its second location in Port Coquitlam, and took over the Mexican gourmet that used to be there. This restaurant has got a great atmosphere, although it's quite quaint and still keeps the old tiling from the Mexican establishment, it fits it nicely although I can't say I feel like I'm sitting in an underground ramen shop in Shibuya. All staff followed COVID-19 procedures, wearing masks and practiced social distancing to the best of their abilities, they disinfected tables and chairs after people left and overall made the dining experience feel safe. We ordered, and our food came to us in less than five minutes, Igot the red hot ramen, and I gotta say it was pretty good. Usually spicy ramen ends up just being spicy and totally overpowering the broth flavour. I can't say the ratio was absolutely perfect, but it was a lot better than most other places. The portion size was great, but I'm not sure how I feel about bok choy and wonton crisps in ramen. The noodles tasted like good quality ramen noodles, but not home-made at the restaurant. This was quite minor but my soup didn't really come out to me piping hot, and more just hot in some spots and warm in others. I trust that it was a mistake considering my lady friends bowl was totally hot though. The gyoza we ordered with our meals was quite tasty. The pork and chives filling was what you'd expect for a restaurant like this, and the size of them was eatable in about two bites. These were super hot, so let them cool off for about a minute before you dig in! Overall if you live in the Tri-cities or Port Coquitlam, this is your best bet for ramen if you don't want to travel out to Vancouver. I think they should change the soup base to spicy ratio in the Red Hot bowl, to give it a little more flavour. Overall, this place has a lot of potential to be great, but for now, i give it a 3.5/5.

Everything tasted the way Korean food should taste. The flavors were balanced and authentic--not overly sweet like so many places tend to do. The kimchi was hands down some of the best I've had in a long time--perfectly ripened with incredible depth of flavor. We ordered the soft tofu soup, rice cake soup, and spicy pork, and every dish was excellent. Comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with care. On top of the food, the service was wonderful. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Please support this lovely restaurant in Bellingham. It's the kind of place you hope stays around for a long time. Truthfully I ordered entirely too much food for a single person...I couldn't say no based in the description and picture in the menu...I honestly could have ordered everything. I ordered: Shrimp Tempura: appropriately crunchy Beef Bulgogi: Classic taste, exactly what I wanted for dinner Crazy Boy Kimchi: had a good spice but not overwhelming while the vegetables were not chewy-loved it! Deep fried Oreo cookies: I don't usually see this sort of dessert anywhere let alone at a Korean restaurant...had to give this a try...let me say that the cookie softened to the point where it was more like a chocolate goo while the tempura part was not as crispy as I expected. It was worth a try but not my favorite. Overall, YunGaNe has everything anyone wanting Korean cuisine could offer. I stuck with my comfort favorites and was more than satisfied.
