This place is amazing. I did not think the Chinese food like this was available in Bellingham. Truly phenomenal. You're missing out if you haven't tried it. read more

Textures and flavors complement each other so well. No idea how it's so slow when i go in. A little spendy but that's not new to Bellingham.

Large lot for easy parking. We walked in right at 4pm - opening - on a Tuesday. One other couple was already seated. We knew we wanted spring rolls and wontons, so we ordered that when brought water. We decided on the seven flavor beef for the meal to split. The two apps came out quickly. The wontons were SO GOOD. And the spring rolls were well done but nothing special - solid sauce. The beef came out at the perfect time, right after we finished the apps. And Woweee! It is so good! The beef is tender and flavorful with the crispy lettuce underneath and delicious spices. It went well with the rice, which was perfectly cooked average white rice. We had enough beef left to make one more meal with our own rice. We will 100% be back and are so looking forward to the beef, wontons, and perhaps something new! read more

Great food and wonderful service. We always enjoy our food here. Nice gf selections too. Cozy ambiance.

Wow! We were so impressed with this little place. Super clean and cute. Very friendly service (we met one of the nice owners). You can tell they have pride in ownership! The food speaks for itself. So fresh and good. We tried the curry and Mongolian beef and both were excellent. Can't wait until we can go back and try other dishes! read more

Red Ginger Asian Cuisine - Tea for two :) Love that they serve tea this way! Delicious in a cold WA evening! - Asian Fusion Near Me - Bellingham, Washington

We've been going here and recommending to friends since shortly after they opened because of the friendly service and excellent food---both take out and dining in. The ingredients have always been fresh and cooked excellently. The last two times have been disappointing. The service remains fine. But the food has drifted towards bland and mushy, more like grocery store take-out. The Wontons in Chili Oil were as good as always. The Garlicky Chicken, one of my all-time favorites, was bland and lacking crispness. No garlic flavor and lacking any character or wok hei. The Sweet and Sour Tofu lacked proper preparation. The tofu had not been drained, rendering it soggy and almost tasteless and diluting the sauce. The orange chicken was likewise uncharacteristically bland. Not sure what's happened. New chef? I notice that they have gotten much busier---a good thing for them. They charge top-tier prices which I've been happy to pay until now. But I hope the quality of the food reverts back to its prior excellence. read more

This place is fantastic!! Best Chinese food I've had in a long time. Orange chicken was crisp, and the sauce was amazing. Service was great as well. read more

Food and service are 5.0. Clearly the best Chinese restaurant in Bellingham. Portions are large.

Have had dinner at the restaurant twice. Best tasting Asian food I have had in a very long time. Have tried spring rolls, fried dumplings, fried rice, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and seven flavors beef. Each well prepared and with unique flavors. Fast service even when busy. Soft drinks, tea, beer, cider, and wine available. Not overly decorated but with large windows giving a view of the neighborhood. Busy takeout too. Will definitely be back and bring others. read more

We stopped by here for a quick dinner on our way back to the states from Vancouver. The Mongolian beef was delicious and they weren't skimpy on the portion either. Garlic string beans were also good. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. If we're ever in the area again, I could come back for the Mongolian beef dish. read more

Ohhhh....what a hidden gem! We've finally found a GREAT Chinese restaurant in Bellingham. The Mongolian Beef and Chicken with Dry Cooked Green Beans were outstanding. We have a high bar for comparison -- our favorite Chinese restaurant in San Francisco, and Red Ginger really hits the mark. Just go! read more

I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! When I arrived it was during dinner hour but there were no customers (not a good sign), but I decided to try it anyway. I had the coconut curry and it was delicious! Friendly and fast service. I'm only giving 4 stars because the menu was pretty basic and I didn't care for the spring rolls, which were quite bland, but I will definitely go back for that curry and to try some of their other dishes! read more

Such a good value and delicious flavor! My family stopped here while driving north and we're not disappointed. My favorite was the green beans with tofu and the red bean sesame balls. Would definitely recommend! read more

Red Ginger Asian Cuisine - Mongolian Beef is delicious! - Asian Fusion Near Me - Bellingham, Washington

DELICIOUS- We had the udon soup and 7 flavor beef and some blackberry tea and it was soooo good. Definitely going back!

Tons of food, a place to go with a group rather than just 1 or 2 people (al la carte). Food is amazing always, must get the green beans

The service was great and the vegetarian lo mien was delicious. It was pretty slow when we went so we had a lot of room for our group.

This was my first time visiting Red Ginger (I never visited when it was New Peking Restaurant). The place was very clean, fresh paint, nice light blue theme, and we were greeted by friendly staff. The menu is limited and interesting. It features many traditionally Chinese dishes but also other dishes (like Pad Thai). There are limited beverages (tea and soda). Seems like a missed opportunity to me (not having more beverage choices). We each ordered a appetizer, egg rolls (I think they are called Spring Rolls here) and dumplings. The eggs rolls were very hot and not very big, but they were plenty good. The dumplings were different than what I would usually find, yes, they were braised in a pan, but the dough seems different, or maybe It wasn't steamed (as they often appear). They were good, just with a thicker wrapper. Dishes can be either per person or family style, but no entrees come with rice, so not sure how this works. We each got an entree, Mongolian Beef and Seven Flavor Beef. We both remarked the beef seemed like a better cut than we would expect in dishes like these. The Seven Flavor Beef had a very flavorful sauce with lots of nuts for a nice crunch, I got 2 star (normal heat) and it was pretty warm, there quite a few dried red peppers in the dish. The Mongolian Beef was prepared with a lot of onions and the sauce was sweeter. There aren't too many decent Chinese food places in Bellingham, this one is clean, the service was good, and the dishes are tasty. Check out Red Ginger when you can. Next time we'll try other items on the menu. read more

Friendly, fast, good flavor and portions. Great Chinese food option in B-Ham. We have had the Mongolian beef twice - love all the onions but could use some green ones too! We also had an order of the chow mein and the picky eaters in our family had three helpings read more

Really good food, a nice atmosphere and fantastic server staff. Very friendly. We enjoyed dining here and we will definitely be back.

Brand new restaurant in what used to be New Peking. It is nice that the new owners freshened up the interior. Recently remodeled, it is now bright, tidy and clean. Pros: Very friendly, prompt service. Portions were very generous. Food was fresh and tasty. Mild cons: They offered "Lunch Specials", but departed from the usual combo presentation. These specials came with the entree and rice: no egg roll and no soup. (Not really that special). Also, the menu could offer a bit more of an expanded description of some of the dishes. For example: listed under Lunch Specials, what does "garlicky" mean? I was a bit surprised by the kinda' high prices, but that seems to be the norm lately. I will be back to try different dishes. read more

Thank you for a wonderful experience. Thank you for your service. Thank you for giving me life. I dream of the flavors.

Based on the meal I just had, this might be the best restaurant in Bellingham. Don't be fooled by the modest exterior, the food is fantastic. Had the 7;flavor beef, beans and shrimp dishes, and all of them were fantastic. If I were going to be in Bellingham another day I'd eat here again! read more

Outstanding quality Chinese food in Bellingham.. finally. Family run, very clean and tidy, easy parking, right off Hwy 5 on Samish Hill. It seems a bit pricey at first glance but really isn't..our party of 4 ordered 5 dishes (plus rice) from the a la carte menu and averaged $25 pp (without drinks). And we had lots of leftovers to take home, which was intentional. Generous portions and exceptional quality, worth every penny we thought. Had the cashew chicken, ginger shrimp, 7 flavors beef (wow!), vegetable fried rice (wow again!), spicy green beans, and a side of jasmine rice. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes. Service excellent and attentive, food came fast and straight-from-the-wok hot. read more

Worth a second look. The menu was a little confusing/overwhelming and hard for this GenXer to read especially after a long day. I read liked the ambiance...granola meets East. Very nice staff. I got the dish with Chinese sausage. Needed balance - more veggies - for my taste. I think the key here is choosing well. I'll be back to give it another shot. I think they have 4 stars in them. read more

Finally!! An excellent Asian restaurant in Bellingham! We relocated to Bellingham some years ago from the San Francisco Bay Area and this is hands down the best Asian cuisine we've experienced since leaving California. The service was friendly, helpful and attentive. Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Our favorite so far is the "garlicky" with chicken as was recommended by our waiter. We can't wait to go back to try another dish! Be mindful of spice level, hot means HOT . read more
