    This is the place!

Met with a couple of friends here today for a birthday (the birthday girl's choice). Even though I have driven past hundreds of times, I had never been here. It's a pretty small place .. we staked out a table and then went to order and pay for our food. One friend had gyoza, one had teriyaki chicken which came with salad and rice. I decided that the time had come to try Pho. I ordered mine with tofu and veggie broth. So I think Pho is gonna be my new go-to! It's pretty tasty stuff and the bowl was huge and never ending! Even I could not finish it (and we sat there for over 2 hours). It came with mint leaves, bean sprouts and green peppers to add in to the already flavorful broth, noodles, tofu and scallions. The food was brought to the table. The servers were gracious and kind. This is not a fancy place but it is very comfortable and cozy. There is street parking (no meters or signs posted). If I worked or lived near, I would probably be in here frequently! Almost forgot to mention, they have quite a large selection of sushi! My friend who chose this place says she usually orders that! The menus are covering the wall! I think there is something for everyone here.

The sushi was good. I got 2 rolls to go. My only real complaint was that they were small for the price. I paid 31.00 for 2 rolls and I just felt like that was a little too much. They were good and the fish was fresh. I enjoyed eating them. The waitress was friendly and got my order together as soon as I got there. This place is closest for me from my house with out crossing the border so I am sure I'll be back at some point

This is solid local Asian - whether for lunch or simple takeout dinner. It's not a great date spot - but um this Ferndale - not exactly the romantic Mediterranean. When I get sick, chicken Pho is my goto and this one did not disappoint. It tasted good and warmed me up. It needs more veggies options like broccoli but I'll just ask for it. 15 bucks after tip for essentially rice noodles, a little chicken and broth seems high but it's close so I'll keep getting it. Also everything is high right now bc of inflation Service was friendly...and um pretty. I'm not fond of Asian restaurants that try to squeeze multiple Asians into one. The flavors really are as different as um the appearance. But they did a decent job as I got Chicken Yakisoba. That's got mixed reviews. First time, pretty flavorful and good portion size 2nd time, the chicken was WAY overcooked and hard. Rice and everything was greasy. I took a picture of the oil left after I ate it. Yikes! I'll try it one more time but if it's like that, I'll stick with pho. I'll check out the sushi next but it looks average. The best sushi in Whatcom is Skai which is 15 minutes away so this place will have to prove its worth the convenience Again, if you're in the area, this is a solid Asian family restaurant worth your support. #EatLocal!

Spider roll and Teriyaki chicken and beef combo

The best teriyaki in Whatcom county! The teriyaki chicken is some of the best I've ever had, great flavor and sooo tender. Spider crab roll is to die for. The service was quick and so friendly. If your looking for a cute hole in the wall for a date or yummy dinner this is the place.

Delicious food! Since discovering this place my go to order has been the pho and it is a understatement to say how amazing it is, the workers have also always been kind. Would recommend!

I'm so happy to announce the newest addition to the Ferndale food scene! Oyiso Teriyaki! Located in the old Ferndale Record Journal building, it is a welcome find. We've been missing good local teriyaki and sushi for ever. The restaurant is very clean and has indoor seating as well as takeout. The menu is extensive and features teriyaki, sushi, stirfry, yakisoba and pho. I tried the chicken teriyaki & gyoza combo. It came with rice and salad. I liked the fact that the teriyaki sauce wasn't overly sweet. The gyoza was crispy, savory and piping hot. Service was fast and courteous. I'm sorry I didn't get any other pictures. I took my food home and devoured it immediately.

I ordered two rolls and i was disappointed in the size of them. They were very small and i spent $23 on them plus a $2 tip. i won't be back. i got the california roll and the spider roll. the spider roll was nothing special no flavor, the seaweed was inedible and there wasn't much crab nor sauce. i'll spend my money somewhere else. i've had better sushi at fred meyer. No one was in there and the lady was nice but not friendly even though i told her it was my first time there. Cali RollSpider Crab Roll

Yes!! I have been waiting for Ferndale to get a sushi place and we finally got one. I'm so happy!!! Cute little place right on main street They also have teriyaki, yakisoba, fried rice etc. And pho. We just got lunch to go. I got the dragon roll one of my favorites it was really good. I decided to try pho for the first time ever. Got the meatball one. It was good, but I wouldn't go outta my way to order it. Nothing against the food that is just me I'm more of a ramen girl. Teriyaki chicken was good too, my mom ordered that. Comes with rice and salad. I would just ask for extra or a side of teriyaki sauce with it. Didn't have much on it. I will be here many times in the future for sushi though. Yum!! Maybe they will add bubble tea to the menu someday, that would be awesome.

I found this " vegetable and tofu" roll the most bland I've had. No herb, sauce , crunch.... I am a fresh roll lover, so a little discerning, but this was truly flavorless. Tofu, rice noodles, leaf lettuce and rice paper. Thats it. Like eating a carrier for too little peanut sauce. The pho was filling and came with a plate of bean sprouts referred to as "the vegetables" . The Vietnamese coffee was tasty but presentation awkward. It came as Condensed milk in a cup with a pour- over atop this and the separate glass of ice. I'm no expert in this ritual but I am accustomed to having the milk cold in the ice and the brewed coffee in a spouted vessel for easy pouring into the iced milk. Here we had to mix the brewed coffee, then add it dribbling and spilling to the ice. No big deal but awkward. It tasted good. The prices were reasonable and parking a lot shared with the strip mall . Not within the restaurant's control , but in circling for a spot around one lane, I was nearly backed into by not 2 not 3 but 4 cars. I think I recall a cannabis shop being in the mall or nearby. This may explain that. The service was friendly throughout. The place was empty but the time was odd. I don't think we'd return based upon the fresh rolls alone.

It was quite busy the whole time we were there and it's clear they have a dedicated following. Generous with their bean sprout quantity. This is the second time we've ordered from Panasia inside the Silver Reef Casino in Ferndale, WA…read more It has limited hours and is only available for take-out Thursday-Sunday 4-10. Seems odd for a casino but I don't run the show. We like to get away for a night during the week every month or so and we like the Silver Reef. The take-out policy at Panasia is perfect for us. We order and bring it all back to the room anyway. Their menu is limited but they have some good stuff. I order the Mongolian Beef and we share Sweet and Sour Chicken. Mama gets the Yakisoba and we add their fried rice as well. All that feeds us twice each because we take the leftovers home the next day. Appetizers are limited to egg rolls or bbq pork. I've had both and prefer the pork with the hot mustard. The egg rolls were a little soggy last time. The MB is excellent. The right amount of green onions and the sauce is flavorful. I wanted to mention the sweet and sour chicken. They do it right. It's not just breaded chicken with that sweet red stuff drizzled on it. It's more like I remember from growing up in the SF Bay Area. The sauce was still red but it had red and green bell peppers in it with onion and pineapple chunks. Perfect. The Yakisoba is also excellent. Portions are good size and packed in plastic covered dishes. Prices are decent. At my local Chinese place in Stanwood I pay over $17 for less Mongolian Beef. Here it was less than $12 for more and it's better. When we order at our local place the bill can get over $80 fast for the same amount of food or less. Sorry there are no photos this time around. I recommend Panasia for the food alone. Being take-out only in a casino operation isn't the best concept but maybe they will open up their sit-down dining at some point. I'm not dropping a star because of the lack of dining in.

The amount of protein in the soup was slightly on the lighter side, but adequate. Prices for the Pho were about the same as in Vancouver if not a little higher (for the large bowl). The front of the menu clearly states 15% gratuity will be added to the bill (at least it's calculated before GST!), and the server did remind us the 15% gratuity was already added to our bill when she gave it to us (so, selected "no tip" at time of payment). Next we dug into the Fried Combo, which included Egg Rolls, Potstickers and Crab Rangoon. The Egg Roll & Potstickers were unforgettable, but the Crab Rangoon was the real star of the show. Creamy crab filling wrapped in fried wonton paper, and some sweet chili sauce to dip in. Moving on to the entrees we shared the Beef & Shrimp Fried Noodle plate, and the Grilled Chicken Banh Mi. The fried noodles contained tender beef and succulent shrimp stir-fried with yellow noodles, Cabbage, Shredded Carrot, crisp bean sprouts, and garnished with fresh cilantro. The dish was very flavorful, with all the fresh veggies and spices tying together the noodles, shrimps and beef. Finally the banh mi.
