pot stickers, thai milk tea w/ boba

Food and drinks are really good. I got my thai milk tea half sweet and it's still very sweet, so I'd recommend 25% sweetness. Pot stickers are good as well w/ house sauce. $17.50 total, so definitely overpriced but good snack if you wanna spend.

I went to speak to the Mrs. Owner with another one of their daughters- because they all seemed as if they did not care at all- I told them how awful their service was and how rude they all were and that it's shocking because I have never ever met a bunch of miserable, nonchalant, ungrateful people. You lose my business. I don't care how great your food was..... it is never equal to the worth of your rude and nonchalant service given boldly. Tonight I Had my sister pick up our order that I placed over the phone for 3 tonkatsu ramens (2 black garlic). Been our favorite dish there for a long time and always loved it. After she got home with the order we realized that there was absolutely no chasu (pork) in any of our 3 dishes. I called the store, and asked them about it and they offered an 8$ refund or extras for next time we came in. We live 30 minutes away. Not exactly like we could easily come back and get the pork or a re-fire of the dish, but that wasn't even offered to us. In their website, they charge 3.5$ for extra chasu. So they didn't even offer us the amount they charge for the protein. After discussing this I called them back to try and explain the frustration we had with this and was entirely dismissed by their manager. When I told her they charge 3.5$ for additional pork she didn't even know the cost, and then offered to give me 11$ refund, because I had received 55$/65$ of food I ordered. I didn't though. I ordered a pork ramen, and didn't receive the primary part of that order. If I wanted a vegetable option I would have picked that. She insisted that there wasn't any other option. Food is good, but if they make it wrong it's not their problem. Terrible customer service. Don't go here.

A group of us came here to celebrate my birthday. My friend and I ordered sushi and were told there would be an additional 15 minute wait for our rolls to come out. Okay, no problem. So we sat... and waited... and waited... and waited. After more than an hour, our server came over to ask if we had gotten our sushi yet. When we told her we hadn't, she talked to the chef... apparently he hadn't even started working on our order yet. Not wanting to wait another hour for 4 measly sushi rolls, we decided to cancel our order and leave, though they still had me pay for my drink. I think this was honestly a bit ridiculous since we didn't even get to eat anything. They absolutely should have comped it for us. This was all made worse by the fact that there was a group of middle-school kids shouting, running, and climbing all over the restaurant, and their parents over at the next table were apparently too busy enjoying their drinks to supervise them. Not exactly the restaurant's fault, but it absolutely worsened an already terrible experience. I'm sad to say I will not be retuning.

We were seated eventually in the café section which had a table piled with employee detritus along side us. The table cloths were pushed off the tables along the window, and the table was sticky. We ordered an appetizer, saki, teriyaki beef which came with soup and salad, and 2 sushi rolls. The beef dish arrived after a 30 minute wait. 10 more minutes brought one sushi roll and we asked about the appetizer, it arrived 10 minutes later and we asked about the soup, salad and Saki. The soup and salad arrived and we canceled the Saki. Second roll came followed by the check. The resturant was not busy at all. One hibachi table was occupied, one person at the sushi bar and us. It seemed to be an established resturant with an inexperienced staff and a manager asking staff what other resturants in the area did about things like people bring in their own bottle of wine (I presumed he was speaking of uncorking fees. My 2 star rating was based on lack of cleanliness, food not coming out in proper order, saki not remembered at all until the party asking for it had finished their meal. They add the gratuity into the bill, and were paid a second 30% on top of that because it was noticed until we were already in the car. The dog they were worried about stayed under the table and made not one sound.

And it helped that it was within walking distance. Upon walking in, the staff let us pick an empty table. The place is rather typical looking for a family-run Japanese restaurant. It was clean, which is the most important thing for these quick lunch stops. - Takoyaki: OK. Good size, covered in bonito flakes. It was quite well presented and tasted fine. My only complaint was that it was close to lukewarm not hot, so it didn't seem freshly made. The greens seemed unnecessary. - Vegetable Tempura: OK. Nothing special. A good tempura batter is very light and airy, but this one was a bit bready. - Shoyu Ramen: OK. Good size, and flavors where there. The pork was the thickest piece I've ever had in a ramen bowl, but very tender, so no real complaints. - Chicken Teriyaki Rice: Not recommended. Chicken was tender enough, but I prefer chicken with skin. Plate was drowning in sauce. Edible, but not enjoyable. Service was simple and nice enough. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Overall, we were satisfied. The food here caters to what locals want and expect, and they generally do a fine job with it. If I was hungry and was in the area, I would certainly consider it.

Heaping, large portions of reasonably tasty, carbohydrates, salt, sugar, fat, and a surprisingly large amount of proteins... all at a very reasonable price... or as reasonable as you'll probably find these days. I venture a guess that a lot of people cannot finish a two item combo with the chow mein. It is a lot of high calorie density food. And, it's served by consistently friendly folk behind the counter. No the food isn't gourmet quality, but there's not a lot of places that serve this many calories where you are always treated very well by a smiling guy behind the counter. So, if you're seriously hungry, or your kids are hungry, or you want a large amount of calories that will probably last you at least two meals then this is almost certainly going to hit the spot.
