I didn't order cold brew I ordered an iced latte- you know with espresso shots and I wanted caramel syrup but instead of informing me that they only Carry the sauce they just started making my drink. Caramel sauce is way sweeter than caramel syrup. I felt like a jerk asking them to start over. They were visibly annoyed. But it's very unhelpful when they don't confirm with you the type of drink you want and just automatically assume what you want. I did not like the customer service.

We both had London Fog drinks and we usually get oat milk with our coffee shop drink purchases and oat milk goes especially well with this particular drink. Of course where would we be if we didn't get pastries. I got a delicious Blackberry Danish that they had while Steve got a savory pastry. Both were quite good and the pastry counter in general I noticed their selection was going fast so it is very popular! Good coffee shop stop and one well worth returning to but it shouldn't be a huge surprise entirely as college towns like Bellingham usually have great coffee shops!

How I heard of this place: My sister once recommended The Daisy Cafe as a good brunch spot and we…read morewere pleasantly surprised to see it shares the same space as The Union Coffee Shop. The perfect pairing! Type of cuisine: Espresso and other beverages, a small selection of pastries, including bagels, cinnamon rolls and the like, and access to the entire Daisy Cafe menu. Ambiance: A two-in-one spot, where The Daisy Cafe takes one side, bright and complete with kitchen and bar seating; and The Union Coffee Shop takes up the other side, dark and complete with mega barista station. Both sides offer table-chair set-ups for patrons wishing to dine in. The atmosphere is casual, laid back, clean and very Bellingham - cozy, artsy, quaint and friendly. Despite being downtown, the Coffee Shop feels like a neighborhood spot, where you can walk in and know your barista and the faces seated about. What I ordered: For our children, two 12-ounce caramel sauce steamers, a 12-ounce mocha for me and a 16-ounce matcha latte for my husband. What I loved: The coffee is strong and robust, but smooth and creamy, the chocolate dark and bitter, with a generous topping of sweet whipped cream. Why I loved it: It's a great spot, the barista quiet and expert at his trade, and our beverages paired well with our Daisy Cafe fare. Cost: Average

With a great view of lake whatcom this coffee shop serves up artisan coffees, as well as craft cocktails. A great place for a midday coffee date, or an evening drink rendezvous. For breakfast this weekend morning I started with the 43 & coffee. A pleasant mixture of bourbon with cold brew in the bottom with a healthy dose of cream on top, and just a hint of orange. This was definitely a top notch treat to start my morning. Next for my meal I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich. This one was very simple when it comes to breakfast sandwiches, but done very well. Egg, bacon, and arugula on a toasted ciabatta bun smeared with garlic aioli. I couldn't have wished for anything more. In an age where everything seems so complicated, I can appreciate simplicity. Excellent flavor delivered in a perfectly sized package. In short our journey to Lakeline was a great experience. I regret not coming to visit sooner, but I will definitely be coming back in the near future.

I really enjoyed my oat milk latte and deeeeelish avocado toast (with a generous sprinkling of Everything Bagel seasoning).
