I come here whenever I can. A gem cafe on the other side of the hill. Small menu but everything is good. Good service too.

Lox toast and egg salad toast

I had the lox toast and it was absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed the extra pickled onions and small arugula salad on the side. Went shortly after opening on a weekend day and had the pick of the place however it quickly filled up as we enjoyed our meal. Cordato was good. Staff were pleasant.

How I heard of this place: A long time mini strip mall in the neighborhood, we always wished it would house a cafe. And now, decades later, we finally have one! We have anticipated its opening and were so happy to finally have a chance - nay two chances - to go and try as much as we could! Type of cuisine: A coffee shop and bar, serving espresso beverages, cocktails, small plates and tasty treats; a pit-stop on a walk, or a spot to enjoy a bite with friends/family. Simple options with high-end, minimalist presentation. Ambiance: Bright and vibrant, the space is reminiscent of a beach home with whites and blues, wooden seating and cozy pillows in the corners of wooden benches that double up as space saving storage. Tables are sweetly set with tiny blue vases and fresh white flowers like daisies and crysanthamums. Gold/Brass trim lines table menus and fixtures in this thoughtful and charming neighborhood cafe. What I ordered: On our first visit, it was simply a cardamom latte, which was tasty when hot and the coffee went sour by the end. On this visit, another cardamom latte (planning I'd drink it while hot) with freshly zested orange atop (my request). For my sister, now a cardamom latte convert, and for the kids, steamed oat milk with house-made brown sugar cinnamon syrup, and a steamed milk with house-made vanilla syrup. Foods were enjoyed on this visit, as promised at our first visit. We had Nutella Toast, Avocado Toast, Smoked Salmon Toast (minus cream cheese) and a breakfast sandwich with bacon. What I loved: My sister's favorite: Avocado Toast. My son's favorite: Breakfast Sandwich, followed closely by the Nutella Toast. I couldn't decide but everything was fresh, tasty. The cardamom latte, today, with my addition of orange zest was perfection. Why I loved it: It's fresh, it's tasty, it's quaint, it's cozy and it's a fun addition to the neighborhood. Cost: High

A much needed gap in B'ham's coffee (+ lots more) scene! A group of hiking friends stopped here after our weekly outing and all of us thoroughly enjoyed this spot along the north shore of the lake. Bright and cute decor and truly fantastic service was matched by perfectly crafted coffees -made on a beautiful blue LaMarzocco machine. They are keeping it local with their own blend of Hammerhead beans and feature Water Tank bread and Mount Bakery pastries. My friends enjoyed their lunch offerings. Can't wait to stop by after a bike ride for a beer or cocktail and to try their food. And don't forget to check out the art deco-ish woman diver motif on wall sculpture created by the owner and in the tile of the bathroom. Hurray for Lake Line!

Great atmosphere and baguette sandwich was REALLY tasty! The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to come back for their breakfast.

Trying a new place and boy does the atmosphere feel new. Bright coastal fishing vibes all around. Husband says the bathroom made top 3 for coffee shop bathroom experiences. Coffee is on the dark side with mediocre pastries. Sandwich came with chips and tiny pickles. Solid sandwich bread

Went on a busy Sunday morning and they had really fast, friendly service. Got a latte, breakfast sandwich, and yogurt and everything was good! The granola was DELICIOUS. I'm excited to have a coffee shop in that area, we'll definitely be going back!

We tried the orange and grapefruit mimosas, granola parfait, and croissants.

So delicious!! Classic Eggs Benedict were great. Ham and eggs were very well executed and…read moreabsolutely the best homemade English muffin ever - which so many places get wrong. Not too bready - perfectly toasted. Could have used more hollandaise, which I couldn't really taste and is usually the most important part. I would've asked for more if server had ever come back to our table once food was delivered. Alas, they did not. Only reason it's not 5 stars. Bloody Marys were fantastic. Star was probably husband's biscuits and gravy. That gravy was PHENOMENAL and the biscuits were excellent. Overall - service could definitely use improvement but host was very helpful, food was fantastic, ambience was fun, and hats off to the talented chef!

I scraped it off with my knife and found it was a big glob of completely uncooked egg white. It was honestly one of the grossest things I've experienced at a restaurant. I sent the dish back, and to the waitress's credit, she was professional and offered to replace it. But I was so grossed out that I didn't want another one. The bigger problem was how management handled it. Instead of comping the dish, they initially gave only a 20% discount. When I questioned it, the manager said that because I had eaten about half, they'd only give me 50% off and that I should have had it replaced. That completely missed the point. Once you find something that disgusting in your food, you're not exactly eager for round two. The waitress was fine, but the manager's response made a bad experience worse.

This place is best for…read morelarger groups as there is limited seating in the sense that there are a few tables that seat 6+ people easily, but we went around 3pm when it wasn't busy so we didn't feel guilty taking one of the larger tables to ourselves when it was only half occupancy. We tried the bioluminescence drink and the toasty marshmallow latte. The bioluminescence drink is very aesthetic and drinks like a soda / energy drink, though it is a one and done for me as I don't feel the sparkles are the most healthy thing. The toasty marshmallow latte was a bit pricy at $7.50 but they had 3 pieces of toasted marshmallow that is perfect (s'mores like but not burnt) and there is a lot of drink. It was on the sweeter side for me. They have Cinnamon Toast Crunch on the side but it was a bit stale, but I won't be docking off a star as there's not much to it and everything else was delicious. We opted to dine in for the aesthetics and I'd recommend doing so as there's higher price point doesn't seem as worthwhile if you take these drinks to-go
