    Breakfast burrito

Delicious breakfast. I had the chef's breakfast which included eggs (poached or scrambled), avocado, potato's, tomatoes, and thick bacon. I also got their spiced yam oat latte which is a spin off from a pumpkin spice latte. It was actually very nice. Similar to pumpkin but not. I enjoyed it for a holiday drink. Service is like a cafe, order your food and they bring it to you. There's self served water and cute indoor decor.

First time here--walked past dozens of times--Friday 11 am. Ordering is via line after immediately walking in. You place your order at the counter and then select a table. We immediately sat down after ordering with 4 tables available. Within 10 minutes the green power smoothly was brought to the table. While waiting for the food order I'm trying to ignore the terrible 2020s pop auto-tune garbage music, but I digress. Sweet potato fries showed up 17 minutes later. It's as if they used two whole large sweet potatoes--fries are enough for two people. The smoothy is gone. Not sure the process for water--I can see the station where water is placed into bottles but no glasses. Found the last glass around to the right and after getting some water more glasses were stacked. Food arrived 21 minutes after ordering. The burrito was fantastic and the poached egg my wife said was perfect. Not bad. By the time we finished, 11:47 am, the line was nearly out the door. Definitely we would not come here with such a crowd--early is better. We may or may not be back.

Banter has an unusual and inefficient seating system--everyone waits in the same line for both dine-in and takeout. If there's no available seating when you reach the front, you're placed on a waitlist and asked to step aside, which creates overcrowding near the bar. Once a table opens up, you return to the front to order before being seated. While waiting, I was offered a coffee, but they completely forgot my order. I had to remind them twice--once after 20 minutes, then again another 20 minutes later. One particularly frustrating detail: despite a long line of customers waiting for tables, the bar seating was reserved exclusively for employees to eat their meals. As for the food, I ordered the crunchy chicken salad and a breakfast sandwich. The chicken on the salad was disappointingly dry, and the salad itself was underdressed. The breakfast sandwich lacked flavor, though the hot sauce (which was delicious) helped. Overall, the food didn't feel worth the price--maybe that's just inflation, but still. Would I return? Probably not.

    Banter hot sauce

First time here and I loved it. I ordered the Classic Brekky which came with amazing sourdough toast, perfectly poached eggs, avocado, and grilled tomatoes all with a little sprinkle of dill and cilantro. My boyfriend ordered the Banter Burrito and it was DELICIOUS. We added some of the Banter hot sauce to our meals and it might possibly be the best hot sauce i've ever had, and i'm not even a "hot sauce person". It was labeled as 3 out of 5 spiciness. For my drink, I ordered an iced Spanish latte, which was also delicious. It wasn't too bitter or too sweet so it was a great medium. The only downside is they don't have a LOT of space, so the line to order runs directly next to a handful of tables. I would say it also took a good amount of time for the food to come out (maybe 20-25 mins) however, not only were they really busy, but I don't mind the wait when that means the food is more fresh and they take better care of their ingredients! It was well worth the wait. I didn't remember to take a picture of my food before I ate it unfortunately

This place was one of my favorite spots in the entire United States of America. Incredibly decorated, incredible coffee, incredible food. Literally the best breakfast burrito I have ever had in my life. So good that I felt compelled to tell one of their awesome team members. We could've stayed there for hours and just chilled. If you are in the area, do not miss this place! If I didn't live in North Carolina, I would be here every week. I love Banter forever.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and how much they cared about dietary restrictions. They had amazing GF muffins that day and we were lucky to get the last two :) they used polenta which I think is a much healthier alternative to rice & oat flour. Coffee was amazing -- what's funny is that they use Makeworth coffee beans and they make a better latte than Makeworth actual coffee shop lol. I appreciate the compostable cups to go as well. Sorry for bad photos, I couldn't wait to try it :)

    Avocado Toast

If you want breakfast or lunch in Bellingham, this is the place! Amazing food, coffee, and atmosphere. Banter is warm, welcoming, and the staff genuinely seem to love being there. You can feel the good vibes as soon as you walk in. If I could give Banter more than 5 stars, I would. The avocado toast is killer, the bacon is worth getting every. single. time. The coffee is top tier, plus it has one of the best breakfast burritos in the PNW

Vegan tofu bowl and vegan burrito

This place is amazing!! The staff are all super friendly and they have a cute outdoor patio that's dog friendly!! They have delicious vegan options, the burrito and the tofu bowl were both so good! They also have a great selection of teas, I ordered an herbal one and it was delicious!!

The inside is stylish and has great ambiance. The staff are all friendly. The food was tasty, so why only 3 stars? The only place they lost me was the exorbitant price. Although it was a great experience and tasty, the price did feel exceptional high.

Breakfast Burrito, no brown rice, as requested.

This was a really cozy breakfast spot. I really liked the decor, and the staff was friendly. The Burrito I ordered was delicious and the house hot sauce(habanero pineapple) went with it very nicely. I requested my burrito without brown rice and the staff was happy to accommodate. The only issue for me was the price. They were running a Monday deal on coffee at $1 each, my wife and I each got a coffee and a burrito and ended up spending 50 dollars!

cado toast was delish just wished there was more avocado

the service was so friendly, ambiance was great loved sitting outside it was a bit more quiet outdoors & very clean. Food was good, will be back.

We're staying at Hotel Leo for our yearly Halloween Ball and this morning we were just looking for…read moresomething small for brunch before heading out. We walked by Amendment 21 and saw the jazz brunch menu and honestly it was perfect, didn't have to go out in the rain, thank god. The place wasn't busy which was nice, and it's got this cool old-timey vibe, like a classy prohibition bar but still comfy. There was a guy playing guitar live which totally fit the mood. Our waiter was great, super friendly and happy to go find answers for us when we asked questions. You could tell he actually cared. Hubby got the corned beef scramble and an orange juice and I got a coffee cocktail that was AMAZING. The best part was watching our server train the other staff on how to make my drink, so I got to lowkey eavesdrop on the whole process. Kinda fun! I also ordered a side of fruit and it was shockingly fresh, dragon fruit, orange, blueberries, like not sad hotel fruit at all. After my cocktail I wanted just a regular coffee and the server was awesome, he brought out coffee and fresh whipped cream and topped me off. Seriously such a small but amazing touch. Everything about it was just chill and cozy. Great service, fun vibe, and being able to charge it to the room was the cherry on top. We didn't even have to go outside in the rain. Total win.
