DRINKS. HISTORY. A CHAT. RELAXING. 5-stars. PARKING Well, we stayed here, so parking was easy. But this is Bellingham - parking is easy everywhere. And it's Cornwall Ave - just walk here. SERVICE Orion L was THE BEST. We just got in and needed a post dinner drink, but also wanted to just take it in for a moment. Orion gave us menus and let us chill for a minute with our decisions - - but we still had questions... and got answers. DRINKS Great warm you up drinks and a comfy couch. This is what you want after a long drive up to Bellingham. Amendment 21 & Orion didn't disappoint! FOOD Apparently there's food here too? But it's Bellhingham. And why do I keep putting an extra "H" in Bellingham. Frick. There are some tasty spots around here to check out. LOCATION This is inside the lobby of a hotel. The hotel isn't remarkable from the street, but come in past a pair of elevators and into the dark hotel bar up the stairs. There are a few high tables and stools at the bar, but the key spots are the deep couches in the middle of the room. I completely forgot to look at the historic photos covering the walls of the bar. Apparently, there's a tour/escape-roomish thing that goes on in the hotel as well? Have fun.

I love this place. I've stayed at Hotel Leo twice this year, which is a great hotel to stay at as it's in the downtown area and walking distance to so much. But I like hotel bars, and Amendment 21 is the best. The prohibition era theme and decor is perfect, with mainly gin and whiskey drinks, but they'll make almost anything. The bartenders are very friendly and are wonderful mixologists. The food is delicious, the vibe is relaxing and fun. Just a great experience all around. Lots of street parking. Love this place.

    Atomic highball

Nice place, good service, wish I knew about it sooner. The atomic highball was great and a good price during happy hour.

Had an amazing time! Mossy was our bartender -- best drinks ever! Had an amazing chat and some good food. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Lovely hotel bar with a fantastic happy hour and super friendly bartender! The cocktails were great, especially the Atomic Highball which is only $8 on happy hour! The vibe is cozy.

This place has the vibe! It mixes the past with the present with the cool atmosphere! I highly recommend getting a drink and appetizer with a friend or a date on a weeknight. I tried the salmon sliders and the sweet potato Flatbread pizza. Both were delicious! I will definitely be back. It's a great addition to the downtown Bellingham scene.

The decor was fun, we took up the tables in the space themed room for a private party feel. There main room had wooden tables that had a vintage school vibe- great for smaller groups or couples. There's plenty of street parking but the stairs leading up to The Orion does make it less accessible to some folks. The night I came here, I only took shots that the best man of the wedding party bought for everyone - so not much to review there. The prices of their cocktails were a few dollars off from being cheap at $7-9. I did have a sip of the cucumber cocktail and the cucumber taste was very strong- I liked it! I was really surprised by the food options here! Without the food at The Orion, who knows what my hangover after a weekend of wedding drinking would've been?! They have various hot dogs, including vegan options! I got the trash dog and it is every drunk person's dream dog. They also had toppings to customize your dog- relish, mustards (all different types!), onions, ketchup, etc. The ratio of hotdog to bun was bread heavy and they had a water jug right next to the front door- greats points for the Orion on balancing out the negative affects of alcohol. The night we came in was a Sunday and the bartender was a one man show. He checked IDs, made food and drinks! Service was a little slow because of that, but overall a great experience at The Orion!
