    Impressive tap list!
    Jennifer J.

Back about a million years ago, before I got married, the gals at the office took me for dinner at a Mexican restaurant in downtown Bellingham to celebrate my upcoming nuptials. I don't remember the restaurant, or the name. I do remember that they charged $3 for a side of guacamole, which at the time felt like highway robbery but now it's pretty much the going price for guacamole. But, as usual, I digress... Fast forward "x" amount of years and that Mexican joint is long gone, but in its place is the fine establishment of Uisce's. I'll admit I didn't even visit this place for a long time after it opened. I had trouble wrapping my tongue around the name...how *do* you pronounce it, anyway? I couldn't imagine myself walking in and a friend asking me where it was and trying to say that name clearly (especially, let's face it, if I had a cocktail or two as well). But then one night at work a co-worker invited me out for a drink after our shift, and said she was going to "Ishka's." Hmm, I thought, that place sounds interesting. "Is it new?" I asked. "No, she said, it's right downtown on Cornwall, across from the Parkade. It's an Irish pub." I said, "Oh, did that you-ees-kee's place go out of business?" She laughed. And we went. And it was a pretty cool place! Since then I've been back a few times, and have grown fond of its appropriately darkened interiors, classic dart boards, and GIGANTIC (who made that thing, anyway?) fabric banner hanging over the large, full bar. They've also greatly expanded their tap list, so if you're a beer fan there's sure to be something here for you. (They also, of course, have Guinness - not something that's always easy to find here in the Ham.) My only beef with Uisce's is, well, they don't have beef. Or, really, much food at all. And this is why I don't go as often as I might if they did. But I get it, they're a pub, and they're pretty good at being just that.

We love it here. It's spacious and yet feels warm. The craft cocktail menu is always changing (Gasp! An amazing daiquiri at an Irish pub?!) I appreciate that you can be dressed up or down here and the service is consistently good. A fun thing worth noting is they have darts towards the back of the space. . great for teams/groups or switching up date night! Bonus points for always clean bathrooms here. Cheers!

Love this place! Always a great atmosphere and Andrew is easily the best bartender. Recommend the French 75

I've been to Irish pubs. Okay, a lot of Irish pubs. Bellingham is truly blessed to have an Irish pub of this caliber in our beautiful downtown. From the decor to the darts, from the back bar to the fireplace, everything here is welcoming and warm. They have a great selection of well-priced craft beers, and they offer an interesting variety of brew choices. I just wish they had some food options, preferably something in the Irish family.

This is an AUTHENTIC IRISH BAR! My boyfriend and I are from Southern California are we have a lot of great Irish Bars so we know them! We actually met in an Irish Bar! The Snake Bite I had was amazing! My boyfriend had Irish Cream Coffee with cream that my boyfriend said was great! He never says cream is good in the US! Must visit! The owner Molly was such a great host!!

This place has an authentic young Irish lad named Owen. He is the most Irish thing I have encountered in this town. Even more Irish than the potato famine. His drinks are crisp and his friendly banter is worth long travel. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with this boyo. Do yourself a favor, stop whatever you are doing, and get over here for a Guinness and some pretzels!

They have a nice selection of taps (including more than just beer), some vintage video games, and offer live music regularly. On our most recent visit, we found one of our fave local musicians, Michael Dayvid, playing and managed to snag a cozy seat in the front row. We sipped our pints (I got an amber, Dude got an IPA) and enjoyed the show - right after a rousing game of Pac Man, of course. This is large space, so there's seating in the back if you don't want to be front row for the music. The service is friendly, too. Parking can be a little challenging, as it's only street parking, but it's not too bad. In a town that has a lot of breweries, but could use a few more cozy taphouses, Corner Taphouse fills a niche (especially in the Fairhaven area). I hope they continue to thrive!

It was tasty and not overly salty like so many other places. My hubs actually drank some of it after we finished the sandwich, it was that good! They also offer some NA options like hop water, and even have a cooler with cans to go. I was more than pleased to see they've added a few, simple food options too. (Helllooooo Cajun tots!) I hadn't visited Overflow since attending one of their pre-covid Clean Water Happy Hours, but was invited last night to watch the Seahawks game with friends. It was a light but fun crowd, enjoying the cozy ambiance together as we cheered the 'Hawks to victory (with the help of one especially enthusiastic staff member/superfan who sported a Seahawks flag-cape and got the crowd roaring together for every first down).
