Fed 3 of us and the mustard was surprisingly amazingly good - definitely exceeded expectations. On top of that, there is free popcorn at this joint which is was fresh, tasty and unlimited. Service: the staff was outstanding. Friendly, smiling, ready to serve up samples without an attitude and knowledgeable about their product. Ambiance: loved it. There was some college football on which was watch-able but not too distracting and the variety of high-tops, couches, and regular tables was a nice mix. We opted for the couch-chair combo and they were comfy and not worn out.

On our most recent visit, we found one of our fave local musicians, Michael Dayvid, playing and managed to snag a cozy seat in the front row. We sipped our pints (I got an amber, Dude got an IPA) and enjoyed the show - right after a rousing game of Pac Man, of course. This is large space, so there's seating in the back if you don't want to be front row for the music. The service is friendly, too. Parking can be a little challenging, as it's only street parking, but it's not too bad. In a town that has a lot of breweries, but could use a few more cozy taphouses, Corner Taphouse fills a niche (especially in the Fairhaven area). I hope they continue to thrive!

Good pairing with the burgers from the food truck El Pollo Feo and it looks like some people bring food from the food trucks here to enjoy with the beer. I had the pleasure of visiting Kulshan on their very first night of operation, which was a longggg time ago. At that time, the only other two major breweries in town had full kitchens and great menus, and Kulshan planned to only feature food trucks. I thought this was a horrible idea! Especially considering, at the time, there weren't all that many food trucks around. Well, I was wrong. Kulshan concentrated on making good beer, and serving it up with a friendly smile in their warm, inviting little space. Food trucks have come and gone over the years, but the beer has remained consistently amazing, the staff welcoming, and the space is almost exactly the same (with a couple of minor mods, including removing the dart board many moons ago). They've also since opened a second, larger location, adding "K2" and the Trackside Beer Garden to a list of what is now many, MANY breweries in the city. We shared and got to taste each other's sandwiches. Both were spot on and satisfying. We especially appreciated the au jus that came with the French dip. It was tasty and not overly salty like so many other places. My hubs actually drank some of it after we finished the sandwich, it was that good! We're regulars at the Flatstick Pubs in Redmond and South Lake Union so it was cool to try a new course. The atmosphere here is chill and clean with plenty of seating for small or big groups. Also, the parking in their lot is free so don't park on the street where you have to pay. Admittedly, the golf course is not quite as fun as at the other Flatsticks because there's no wacky statues by the artist Henry or funny, crazy obstacles, but we still had a great time playing it. The staff here were especially nice, laid back, and friendly. Next time, we will play mini golf AND corn hole outside. We'll be back!

Time had been killed. It was busy, a private party was going on and there were a lot of kids. Mini golf was fine, weird that you do the same 8 holes over again but whatever. Overflow Taps definitely fits in the latter category. A Barkley Village staple, Overflow has been around for awhile now. It's a great spot to stop in for a pint or glass of something tasty on tap. They feature small breweries, cideries, and wineries and have a broad enough selection that it would be hard not to find something good to drink here. They also offer some NA options like hop water, and even have a cooler with cans to go. I was more than pleased to see they've added a few, simple food options too. (Helllooooo Cajun tots!) I hadn't visited Overflow since attending one of their pre-covid Clean Water Happy Hours, but was invited last night to watch the Seahawks game with friends. It was a light but fun crowd, enjoying the cozy ambiance together as we cheered the 'Hawks to victory (with the help of one especially enthusiastic staff member/superfan who sported a Seahawks flag-cape and got the crowd roaring together for every first down). I ordered an Oregon cider that wasn't too sweet. 3) Service: It was impeccable. It feels like a family and every customer is treated with kindness.
