Root beer and Strawberry Rhubarb Cider
Jenn A.

SO FUN! Why have I not come here earlier? You need to try this place. I have never been to a self-serve tap bar before - this is genius. I have always been one to love to try new things, with alcoholic drinks that can be sometimes tricky (as I don't like having too many drinks in a sitting) & expensive. How do things work here? Well, first you check in, put your card on tab, and get a bracelet that's linked to your tab. Next, you grab a glass of your choice, pick a drink, tap your bracket to the screen, and pour as much as you'd like. Drinks are priced individually by the ounce. HUGE selection of beers/ ciders/ wine. I love how you can self serve your own amounts and try as many of the selections they have on tap as you want. They even have some non alcoholic options as well. I mostly tried the ciders. The lemon basil cider is one of the most popular ciders in house so I had to try it -- I loved it. All the ciders I tried were around .50 a pint. If you follow my page, you know I'm always on the hunt for good happy hours. I can't wait to come back on another day to their happy hour (4-6pm) or their $5 off pretzel mondays! Overall, this place is somewhere I know I'll be coming back to. Clean, fun, and unique. A cool place to hang out with friends or date night as they have lots of games and options for seating indoors and out (outdoors has heated lamps for the cold weather). Staff was very friendly with showing how the process goes and checked on us often even though it was a self serving place.

1oz of One Tree Lemon Basil Cider! Totally worth getting more- it is delicious!

Northwest must! Beautiful woodsy elegance feel and an opportunity to try a bunch of flavors without buying a full glass. It is mostly self service, but the gentleman Tomás was exceptional in encouraging fun and providing educated information about the taps and the different techniques used for the wood decor. If you are near Ferndale make it a point to stop by!

The beer and cider selection here now is fantastic!! They also have some food offerings now, including a fun make-your-own S'mores platter. Great spot!!

This place is great! The food (appetizers and finger food) has always been hot and fresh, and being able to pour your own beer and try anything is awesome! Definitely a go to!

Garlic fries

The food is so, so bad. To be fair, the menu specifies that these are oven baked fries and chicken wings. But I can make these items far better at home. Why not buy a fryer? Or maybe don't offer food at all. For the fries, they need to be baked until crispy, then tossed in garlic sauce. But since they don't do that, we got fries that were both soggy/underdone and burnt at the same time. The chicken wings were rubbery and the skin was totally raw. Again, good baked wings are possible, but they need to be oven roasted for probably 45 min to get the skin crispy and rendered, then toss them in sauce. Flavors of the aoili and sauce were good. All of this would be solved by buying a fryer. Other than that, concept is fun, patio had a fun atmosphere, staff is friendly and I appreciate the games.

Great hostess, Celeste!

I love their remarkable selection of wines, ciders and beers. Best of all I like that you serve yourself using unique technology whereby you control your pour and it is automatically charges your credit//debit card. Eliminates bartender and cashier and makes the experience more personal. The atmosphere is very warm, casual and friendly. A fun place to meet friends or go it alone! I love the selection of tasty "bites" and topping it off with a table top version of making s'mores....truly a delight!

Very unique and definitely one of a kind tap room Lots of beer cider choices The pour your own beer option is very modern and covid friendly But be prepared to pay by the ounce depending on your beverage and the glass you select the cost can be a bit pricey (which in my humble Opinion can be a downside, if there's a downside to pouring your own beer) With that said there's a great selection of brews and has a friendly clean atmosphere Dog friendly outside in the undercover

Such a great concept! My husband and I really enjoyed tasting several wine/ciders/beers. The pretzel and tempura prawns were delicious as well! Talked with owner, Tomas, and he was wonderful and friendly! Can't wait to go back again!

Always great service, awesome rotating beer,IPA,wine and cider selection. Food is amazing and always fast!!

Scotch Ale vs Porter

This joint has been on my beerscope for a hot-minute. Finally today was the day. After a full day of biking and geocaching, it was time for beers to celebrate. Once checked in, your issued wristband unlocks your tap of choice. Thómas thoroughly trained us before letting us loose. I then tasted every stout, porter or scotch ale they had! This sleepy Tuesday sunny evening was perfect for us. No food here though, so you've been warned! Nearby eateries (e.g. Kenny's) will deliver to your tipsy a$$ though. The base price is $7 for your band, then the price per ounce is listed on the beer you pour yourself. Speaking of which, to keep you from over serving yourself the computer tracks the amount of ounces you poured in a 2-hour time frame. Too much? It cuts you off! Not that I exceeded it, or my sister, but I can envision this going sideways ... fast. At any rate, if you desire an unique experience, or just a break from the normal bar scene in Ferndale, then POST UP!

It reminds me of a self-serve yogurt places but with beer and wine. I had a ginger beer but hubby got a bracelet and tried some of the taps. He liked that you can click each tap for information about the beer. The area outside is very nice. They have swings. We had a great time swinging and talking and sipping. The owner brought us a small bowl of pretzel to snack on. They have wine slushees that looked absolutely delicious.

Wow! I had SO much fun here! Just my kind of place and I didn't even know it was there until they hosted our Yelp event! This is unique and a worthy adventure just to check it out. I love that you buy your drinks by the ounce, and then you can try any and all beers, wine, and ciders from the MANY taps. I love to try different drinks, so I was having a ball. My Dad liked that he could have a small glass of beer, and sip slowly, but still have a cold beer because he could go back for another small glass. The set-up is fun, too--swinging chairs, heated outside, tables, stools, inside fireplace--whatever you want. We both loved our experience there, and my Dad is 84! I also love that you can bring in your own snacks, or order from nearby delivery-THANK YOU for that!

After sipping on some margaritas and nomming a quesadilla, we all headed to the after-affair at nearby Outlaws. Confession: even though I'm a dive bar fanatic and lived in nearby Bellingham for many years, I had never been to Outlaws before! Well, now I'm kinda regretting that. This place is what you'll find in a lot of dive bars: kinda dark, but with a lot of neon, and a lot of locals hanging out on a weekend night. In other words, it was perfect! Having already enjoyed a couple of margaritas and facing a long drive home later, I settled on a pint of my trusty fave, Mac 'n Jacks, while the bday crowd enjoyed a variety of shots and (apparently very strong) cocktails. We played some pool, sat around their HUGE communal table, and just enjoyed each other's company while the 80s tunes played and the bar filled up. While I didn't get to try any food while I was here, there are rumors going around that their wings are amazing - so next time I'm up that way, I'll have to check 'em out.

Shame on me for waiting until the last minute to book--but the availability should have been the real warning. The evening began with a fundamental misstep in pacing. The Caesar salad arrived with the main course, collapsing any sense of progression or structure to the meal. We also had to ask for bread--something that, on prior visits, arrived promptly with the wine. This time, the bread appeared only after both salad and entrée were already on the table. The server apologized for the delay, explaining they had to "make more." What arrived, however, was plainly sliced, cold bread--hardly something that required production time. The chicken marsala itself was a study in restraint--mostly empty plate, punctuated by a small, overcooked piece of chicken. Dry and lifeless, it was buried beneath a heavy mushroom gravy and paired with thick, gluey polenta that leaned more toward paste than comfort food. Balance was nowhere to be found. The Caesar salad offered little redemption. Greens that should have been cold and crisp were limp and tepid, while the croutons provided chew instead of crunch. These are foundational details, and when the basics falter, everything else feels off. Poor service compounded the lackluster experience. The staff appeared frantic and inexperienced, creating an atmosphere of disorganization rather than hospitality. Timing was off, attention inconsistent, and the overall rhythm of service never settled. Dining out--especially on a holiday meant for indulgence--should feel intentional. This meal felt rushed, underwhelming, and oddly careless. Between the meager portions, poorly executed dishes, awkward timing, and chaotic service, the evening landed squarely in disappointment.
