Huge tent with heaters for outdoor drinking.

Goods is one of my fave outdoor spots in the Ham, especially on a warm day when I'm craving some beer and a good food truck. This spot used to be strictly a plant nursery and vegetable stand, but a few years ago they added a large beer shed and multiple taps. Toss in a couple of regular food trucks and the plant/veggie operation progressively got smaller as the beer garden expanded. Hey, I'm not complaining! My typical visit to Goods involves (1) stopping at Dumpling Girls (one of their two permanent on-site trucks) to grab some dumpling or noodle goodness, then (2) while I'm waiting for my food order, grabbing a tasty pint of one of Goods' many local craft brews. They feature beer from many of our popular local breweries, and always have a wide selection of things to choose from (which, as a person who prefers an amber or a dark to an IPA, I appreciate). There's also a Mexican food truck onsite, and even a hair salon in a converted bus if you want to get glammed up before your beer. And yes, they still have the plants and veggies - you just have to look a little harder to find 'em.

Stopped by to check out another brewery in Bellingham. This one was walking distance from our AirBnB and I was so glad it was! It's super relaxed with plenty outdoor heated seating and space for kids and dogs. We enjoyed the two food trucks on site (chinese dumplings and tacos!) Theh had a good array of craft beer. I loved the Cidenberry? cider? Omg I wish I could've bought a growler of it. It was perfect. Definitely recommend for families.

The patio is nice because it has lights and heat, but MY GOD the bar stools are not comfortable. I felt like my legs were gonna have bruises and my lower back was gonna be sore. We are both young and active people but were DYING on the barstools. It was also odd to be so high up when we had dogs on the ground, as it made it hard to manage them. We ended up putting them in the car because it was such an awkward height distance (they are small dogs). I was excited about the online menu since they had a lot of gluten free options. The menu in person was different than the menus I saw online and on Yelp. Not too different, just definitely a rotation/seasonal element. I perhaps had some gluten free vegan wings in my heart that have not seen the menu in a while but are posted online a lot. I got a hawaiian style bowl with tofu and my fiance got a sandwich. We each got a cocktail as well, and our total was $100. I thought this was a little steep, but we did like everything we got. I will go back, but probably without dogs and without a dream of what I see on the online menu.

Now, we can enjoy those crispy, kitty-themed BC beers without the long drive north. The setting is lovely, too. They have a HUGE outdoor deck, right on the waterway, which is just about the perfect spot to spend a warm summer afternoon. I also got to visit recently, on a cold, bitter, grey January day, and the beer was just as good enjoyed indoors in their colorful tap room. Can't wait for more great days at Beach Cat as the weather starts to warm up and the sun (rumor has it) decides to come out even more.

The outdoor patio is sprawling with space! Tons of outdoor seating and quite a bit inside as well (for the rainy days I suppose!) Although every time I have visited (sunny days!) there were people sitting inside and I am not sure why anyone would choose to sit inside on a beautiful day!! I digress. The annoying thing about the patio, the music was on what felt like, volume level 7 out of 10. It was blaring. I could not hear my friend speaking to me across the table. While I totally dug the music selection, it was way too loud to have a conversation. The speakers are on like every other post so there was no getting away from it. At one point I did ask them if they could turn it down a few notches. (I apologized and said "with risk of sounding like a Karen or an old lady, but it is so loud and I cannot hear across the table). She laughed said no problem and she could turn it down a little. (Funny inside it was like on volume level 4, but outside it was blasting!) The beer is decent, also about 3.5/5. For me the star of the show is the location and the view. The food truck out front the last time we went (January 2026) was Indian fare. It was honestly terrible. Looked like cat food (how fitting). Probably had a total of 3 pieces of chicken in my tikka masala. I would recommend avoiding that truck entirely. It was a thumbs down for all 4 people in our group.

There are both outdoor and indoor seating areas. The seats by the fire pits outside were all taken, so we stayed inside. They have a variety of board games, and we took advantage of that. While I enjoyed the atmosphere, I cannot say the same for one member of the staff. I tried ordering food, but I had an unpleasant encounter with the person taking my order. They seemed completely uninterested in their job and made it seem like I was burdening them by ordering food. I ended up not ordering anything. The person at the bar was nice, and I did not have any issues with them. Perhaps it was an off night for the one staff member, but it rubbed me the wrong way. Despite my encounter, I liked the bar. I would probably recommend going to the bar with the caveat about potentially having poor service.
