Bacon Pug Burger with Waffle Fries!

Food was delicious! came in a timely manner and served with a smile! Beers are also fantastic with every burger bite! Highly recommend for the environment too! Plants are the best feature!

Stopped in here for a beer and quick lunch. Service was prompt and friendly, and the place was immaculate and sort of had that "brewery-chic" vibe. Modern, big, open, airy. The Dawn Patrol I had was a hazy, and it was very good, but they have a large selection so I'll probably check out something different next time. For a "meal" I had the poutine, with roasted mushroom gravy and cheese curds on waffle fries. This was...but far from the best poutine I've had in my life. The gravy promised more than it delivered, and the choice of fries - waffle cut - were not practical to eat with a fork (too big to easily eat, too crisp to cut), and too messy to eat by hand. I love the idea of waffle fries in poutine, but the execution in this instance just left me a little disappointed. I'd come back for beer, and I'd definitely try something different on the menu, and I'll update if I do!

Bacon Smash Burger with Luna fries

Perfectly our type of place. Casual vibe, friendly staff and amazing food. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon around 5pm for Happy Hour. Funny enough, we were staying nearby, so stopped back in later in the evening for a heartier meal. Both were outstanding!!! Happy Hour: THE.BEST.BRUSSELS.SPROUTS! Great flavor combinations with brussels sprouts, red cabbage, yams and pomegrante molasses. Good sweet savory combination. This was SO good! I would eat it every day. We had the Karage Chicken, lightly breaded chicken thighs with a zesty dipping sauce. We also had a house salad, which was hearty kale with walnuts and blue cheese. Very good! For our evening meal, hubs and I split a Bacon Smash Burger with the Luna fries. The luna fries were a hearty portion, with generous amounts of chicken and the chimichurri was a taste sensation. Pro-tip: If you order a side of poutine fries, it's the same portion as the appetizer. Super friendly staff! Late Friday was pretty busy so we had a bit of a wait. Well worth it though. Try it!

Aslan has always been one of my favorite places in Bellingham, ever since I went while attending WWU. It was a treat to visit Aslan over the weekend as they opened a location in Fremont but it's not the same as their menu is quite limited compared to the foods this kitchen has to offer. The staff is also incredibly friendly and outgoing! This time around, we ordered the fried mac n cheese appetizer, the Hawaiian bowl with pork belly, the PNW grilled cheese, luna fries, a beer flight, and the strawberry lemonade cocktail. The food was delicious and enough for two people, plus leftovers. I highly recommend Aslan, and will stop by every time I'm in bham.

Spicy tofu katsu & poutine with mushroom gravy. 10/10!!!!

My favorite!! I can't say enough good things about this place!! Loooove the veggie and vegan options. So many to choose from and they are all good. I usually go with the spicy tofu katsu, waffle fries poutine with mushroom gravy, or kale caesar salad. My top 3 forsure! I love that they usually have a couple ciders on tap and not just beer. Friendly staff and fun vibes. Will always be back whenever I'm in Bellingham!!

Super glad they were open on july 4th! Our frisbee team of almost 20 were looking for somewhere to eat and they were super accommodating and pretty busy on independence day for dinner. Got a spicy tofu katsu burger which actually had a kick to it. Great crisp to the tofu which maybe could have been thicker but the burger was already pretty tall from the slaw and pickles too which added the moisture/acid/crunch that made it so yummy. And the waffle fries were just great, classic.

We stopped in Bellingham on the way from Vancouver to Seattle. Yummiest burger and their beer is also so tasty. They have hot sauce which is spicy and unique taste. my mom got one of their bowls, and she loved it. Food: 5/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5

I'll be honest I didn't actually get any beer here, but my beer loving friends did and said it was awesome. Soooo my review will primarily be about the food which was also amazing. I got one of their bowls (I think the SW bowl??) with crispy chickpeas. The chickpeas were SO GOOD and the bowl was also delicious. Our table also tried their fried mac bites and those were scrumptious. They had so many yummy sounding food options on the menu I wish I could have eaten them all! The inside is super cute but not a ton of seating. I could see it getting busy and full relatively easily. They also have a patio which looked nice, but since it was a bit chilly, we opted for inside.

Got a to go order and man did they skimp. Salad was beyond dissappointing. It was mainly arugula with 9 tiny cubes of yam, the tiniest amount of cheese, and 7 slivers of what seems to be jicama along with pickled onions. Wtf did I pay for?

We stopped in Bellingham on the way from Seattle to Vancouver, visited the ocean walk, and were hungry. Searched for breweries near me as usual and found Asian brewing company, it was intriguing so had to go there. The beer is good, but the food is amazing. The chicken Karagi was fantastic and the bahn-mi bowls were outstanding. If and when we are back in this part of the world, ABC folks, we will be back to partake again. Almost forgot to mention that the outside seating was great on a pleasant mid July afternoon.

    Mac and Cheese Bites.

Asian is still undeniably a force in Bellingham's Brew Pub scene, but it's lost a bit of luster. We showed up for an early dinner on a Saturday night, We got a table right away and the initial service was pretty good. We had beers and Mac and Cheese Bites. Seems the fryer oil (or the person frying) were not ideal, These Bites were super dark and, they seemed to be over done. Not ideal. We each ordered a Smash Burger, 1, the regular and 2 the Bacon smash burger. Silly me, I thought the Smash burgers would be similar, but that was my mistake, The Regular Smash burgers is what I would expect, an regular single patty with a slice of cheddar, lettuce, tomato, on a bun. The Bacon smash was completely different. Single patty, field greens, blue cheese, and a bacon spread. Yeah, different! I probably should have gotten the regular Smash Burger. We both ordered Waffle fries and like the Mac and Cheese Bites, seemed over cooked and dark, to us. Unfortunately during our meal, our server started serving another section and we didn't see a server for a while. Then someone else checked in on us. It was a little surprising and disappointing. I did have a question about my burger and by the time someone came around, it was long after my burger was cold and half-eaten.

Every time we visit, we come home with 2 cases of beer. Sure we can pick some up in Seattle, but we don't have ALLLL the options, or the quantity. Plus we like to support and buy at the source! Special TIP or HINT to Structures- Please make the corndog a standard on the menu!!! It is just too good!! I look forward to it every 4th of July, but would love to see it every time I visit! At least a weekend special, or EVERY holiday weekend? Structures you have my heart! Bellingham is lucky to have you!!

I had the pleasure of visiting Kulshan on their very first night of operation, which was a longggg time ago. At that time, the only other two major breweries in town had full kitchens and great menus, and Kulshan planned to only feature food trucks. I thought this was a horrible idea! Especially considering, at the time, there weren't all that many food trucks around. Well, I was wrong. Kulshan concentrated on making good beer, and serving it up with a friendly smile in their warm, inviting little space. Food trucks have come and gone over the years, but the beer has remained consistently amazing, the staff welcoming, and the space is almost exactly the same (with a couple of minor mods, including removing the dart board many moons ago). They've also since opened a second, larger location, adding "K2" and the Trackside Beer Garden to a list of what is now many, MANY breweries in the city. This is definitely a must-visit on any Bellingham beer pilgrimage. Thanks, Kulshan, for all those good beers over the years!
