I saw from my last Yelp review that I had thrilled to the Apple Cranberry Salad, so I ordered it…read moreagain. (Whose Yelp reviews can I trust, if not my own? It really is a lovely salad, from the crispiness of the apple slices to freshness of the greens to the delicious teeth-grabbing gumminess of the rich and flavorful cranberries in contrast. Just a beautiful thing. I also decided to brave some beets! Why, one would ask, when why anyone likes beets is beyond my imagination? To me, they taste like dirt. I had a friend who used to make a mixed green salad that incorporated beets along with blue cheese. I first tried it "to be polite" and, to my surprise, I liked it quite a lot. So when I saw Beet and Goat Cheese Flat Bread on the Skylark's menu, I decided to brave it because I love goat cheese and I love a good flatbread. It was wonderful! No beety flavor, just creamy deliciousness where the goaty cheese nicely blended. Nice little dish to share too--and my companions loved it. Lavender Fields is a lovely mocktail (and a bargain at $5!)--you never see single digits on menus anymore--I had to ask if it was a mistake. No. Quite elegant and refreshing. The wonderful, attentive and charming Mischa was our server and bartender to boot. She made perfect choices for me when asked, bringing me a lovely wine to pair. (And she makes a lovely Old Fashioned.) Also wonderful to us was Brad. We had some special needs which he graciously accommodated. And the place is so lovely to sit in--just beautiful. And the music was incredible also.

Ordered apps and waited 50 minutes for them to come out, then two minutes later our entire meal came out. Our server never once acknowledged this mess up and acted like nothing happened. Couldn't even finish our apps and had to box them. Watched our server Victoria hangout behind the bar talking to other servers while we needed our water refilled. Had to get up and ask for our water back. For the menu price, I'd expect far better service. Especially with the economy the way it is, eating out is a luxury for the average person these days so it's very disappointing to finally have a break from cooking at home, only to be let down by amateur hour at a restaurant. As someone w 10 years experience in hospitality, it was a bummer.

I've had lattes that tasted like lukewarm bean water and lattes that tasted like they were brewed by a robot with a grudge. But the latte I had at **Woods Coffee**? Pure, caffeinated magic. I'm pretty sure they didn't just steam milk; they whispered sweet nothings to it until it turned into silk. The ambience both upstairs and downstairs, in addition to having a beautiful view of the bay gives a vibe that is as warm as the coffee and tea and almost as warm as the hearts of the staff In fact it may even pale in comparison to the warmth of the crew: **Nate, Madeline, and Jesse.** These three aren't just baristas; they are basically the Avengers of hospitality. They are so friendly and kind that I'm convinced they might actually be humanitarian saints working undercover in the coffee industry. **Full Disclosure:** During my visit, I encountered a brief personal complication regarding my payment. Usually, this results in a walk of shame out the door. But Nate, Madeline, and Jesse: Rather than treating me like a transaction, handled the situation with an incredible level of empathy, kindness, and professionalism. Their ability to prioritize the customer experience has made me a huge fan of the Woods Coffee brand as such humanitarian grace is rare in the service industry today. They didn't just provide a caffeine fix. They just didn't provide the best Latte I have ever had. More than all that, they built genuine brand loyalty.. Go for the latte, ( the best in Puget Sound if not the country and stay because the staff will make you believe in humanity again

I found that some local Sprouts stores were carrying it. I really like it. Like anything, when checking out something for the first time, stay as basic as possible. I tried the Vanilla Bean. All of their flavors display "Full Strength" in front of the flavor name. This is to drive home the point of their concept... no air in the ice cream. Hence, this is very dense ice cream! Of course, they also use excellent ingredients to make this great stuff. I am a fan. It is very concentrated in flavor. It also has a nice mouth feel, very smooth. Loved the Vanilla Bean. Just picked up some Full Strength Raspberry Chip. It's ok, but I prefer the Vanilla Bean. The raspberry is a little on the sweet side.... but still the same silky mouth feel. I am on the lookout for the Vanilla Chocolate Chip, which should be great. Looking forward to more Vanilla Bean and trying some other flavors. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We were walking to dinner and they said we should try the shop out. Carpe diem and obviously it was a sign that we needed go ans get dessert before dinner. Plus, we were gonna share the ice cream so not as bad right? I tried a sample of the mixed berry and coffee flavors and fell in love. The ice cream was so creamy. It was perfect that they do half scoops so I got both flavors. I mean, we didn't wanna ruin dinner. It was perfect! I wish we had this shop in the Bay! It's sooooo good! Gotta come back and visit!
