This place is best for…read morelarger groups as there is limited seating in the sense that there are a few tables that seat 6+ people easily, but we went around 3pm when it wasn't busy so we didn't feel guilty taking one of the larger tables to ourselves when it was only half occupancy. We tried the bioluminescence drink and the toasty marshmallow latte. The bioluminescence drink is very aesthetic and drinks like a soda / energy drink, though it is a one and done for me as I don't feel the sparkles are the most healthy thing. The toasty marshmallow latte was a bit pricy at $7.50 but they had 3 pieces of toasted marshmallow that is perfect (s'mores like but not burnt) and there is a lot of drink. It was on the sweeter side for me. They have Cinnamon Toast Crunch on the side but it was a bit stale, but I won't be docking off a star as there's not much to it and everything else was delicious. We opted to dine in for the aesthetics and I'd recommend doing so as there's higher price point doesn't seem as worthwhile if you take these drinks to-go

Oh man was it amazing, got the cardamom coffee to go with a piece of Helva for my little and the Chocolate baklava for me and hubs to split! The server was so nice and made sure to inform me the right way to just sip the coffee as it's not like regular drinking coffee- he asked I preferred sweet coffee and I said yes so he added a little sugar and it was just beautiful! My little demolished the Helva and hubs and I enjoyed our chocolate baklava at the end of a very fun but busy day! The shop it's self is small but beautiful as were the other customers enjoying their coffee made room for my little at the counter to look at all the treats in the case! Can't wait to head back and try some of the other yummy treats they have to offer!

We simply had to give it a try. And continue coming back. Type of cuisine: Turkish fare - from simit and borek, to cardamom or pistachio infused Turkish coffee, apricot and apple teas, baklava and lokum. We have always loved the foods, mostly imported directly from Turkey. Ambiance: Sweet and cozy, the space is full of beautiful Turkish art/craft - from lighting to seating, from merchandise to the tasty treats served, we love our bay window benches and small, tiled tables that barely hold everything we order. The brother-owners are always wreathed in smiles and humble, grateful service. The music is soft, but always a surprise - sometimes Turkish, sometimes rock, sometimes jazzy, always fun and unobtrusive. We also love the huge barrel "tables" used as outdoor seating under a covered "patio". What I ordered: I was sad to hear that they no longer make/serve their refreshing and lovely apricot tea, so I chose a sweet cardamom coffee. My sister each chose a turkish coffee and pistachio coffee. A hot chocolate for my husband and two apple teas for the children. We ordered one of each selection of baklava available - pistachio, walnut, chocolate pistachio, halva and another walnut treat. Not to mention peach and blackberry lokum. We also ordered a potato & cheese sandwich; they ran out of the bread so substituted potato borek topped with cheese for our savory snack. What I loved: Always the service; quiet, humble, spot on. The coffee is truly magnificent and fully takes you back to Turkey. The baklava is sweet and soaked in honey, just like the cafes in Istanbul, and the beautiful lighting mesmerizes each of us every time. Why I loved it: It's always a little escape entering the doors of Ashuri, and like a mini vacation in a home away from home. Cost: Average

When there are lines of customers waiting to order as well as pick up online purchases, perhaps filling napkin dispensers can wait? While there is likely a good reason why those making the food/filling orders can's multitask and help out the from of the house, watching 3 team members just stand around when it's busy in front sends a mixed message about customer care.

Prices may seem high one month then you come in again and they don't seem so bad. They are not trying to gouge anyone, just run a business and that includes all the taxes, permits, licenses, insurance and properly paying their employees. They really do have a bend over backwards attitude towards just plain being kind, I've seen folks get rude and mean towards the employees and it's just wrong. Stop that be an adult. Order is messed up, they make it right I've seen and experienced that 100%. Buy a dozen bagels get a card punch. No, REALLY, get a punch card. Now that is said. I am a New Yorker. Don't try and tell me how my bagel is supposed to be. I know. There is a certain pull, and chew that is part of the experience while you savor the texture and seasoning involved. There should be a certain a la dente exterior texture from being boiled. THIS IS IT. There is no other. Pumpernickel bagels and an experience in themselves. I lean more towards the savory side with my bagels because a lot of time at home I make a lox sandwich. I can vouch for the lox spread, jalapeno spread and the highly under-rated cinnamon raisin walnut. The latter is definitely a treat and the former can apply to most bagels and bialys in a highly complementary fashion. The garlic bagel is made to only be toasted with butter, but sometimes I make a breakfast sandwich with them. I only like to go to establishments that have better food or convenience than what I can do at home. I still make my own bagels, because I can. If I could go to ONE place the rest of my life, this would be it. Bravo Bagelry for keeping up your time-honored traditions and being a cornerstone of what I know as Bellingham.

The perfect pairing! Type of cuisine: Espresso and other beverages, a small selection of pastries, including bagels, cinnamon rolls and the like, and access to the entire Daisy Cafe menu. Ambiance: A two-in-one spot, where The Daisy Cafe takes one side, bright and complete with kitchen and bar seating; and The Union Coffee Shop takes up the other side, dark and complete with mega barista station. Both sides offer table-chair set-ups for patrons wishing to dine in. The atmosphere is casual, laid back, clean and very Bellingham - cozy, artsy, quaint and friendly. Despite being downtown, the Coffee Shop feels like a neighborhood spot, where you can walk in and know your barista and the faces seated about. What I ordered: For our children, two 12-ounce caramel sauce steamers, a 12-ounce mocha for me and a 16-ounce matcha latte for my husband. What I loved: The coffee is strong and robust, but smooth and creamy, the chocolate dark and bitter, with a generous topping of sweet whipped cream. Why I loved it: It's a great spot, the barista quiet and expert at his trade, and our beverages paired well with our Daisy Cafe fare. Cost: Average
