Having tried a variety in the area, I was…read moreinitially a little skeptical, and, if I'm being honest, a little annoyed that this place was not closer to I-5. However, my annoyance quickly faded when I tried some of their drinks. I took advantage of their July specials and tried the nuttier white chocolate macadamia and caramel hazelnut latte. I find that coffee places can be hit or miss in terms of consistency, particularly at drive-throughs, but this place has hit the spot every time. It his the trifecta of being affordable, expedient, and plentiful in their flavors/variety. Mugshots has quickly skyrocketed to the top of my coffee spots to hit up in town. I would recommend everyone check this place out!

I have been to Mug Shots Coffee many times since it's close to my home, but yesterday's experience…read morewas unacceptable. When I arrived, there was only one car on each side of the stand--hardly a busy time. The car in front of me left shortly after I pulled up, so there was no reason for a delay. A different car pulled up behind me right after I got to the window. When I reached the window, I received absolutely no acknowledgment. No greeting, no "we'll be right with you," nothing. The owner stepped out of the stand on my side, continued talking with the baristas, and still did not acknowledge my presence. She then walked past my car and took the order of the vehicle behind me, completely ignoring the customer already waiting at the window. For nearly six minutes, not one person--neither the owner nor the multiple baristas inside--said a single word to me or made any attempt to take my order. Instead, they began preparing the order for the car that had arrived after me while I continued to sit there with no service whatsoever. This level of disregard is unacceptable. When a stand is not busy and several employees are present, being ignored entirely--especially while someone who arrived later is served first--is beyond unprofessional. I left extremely disappointed and frustrated, and this experience has seriously made me reconsider returning

I struggle to give 5 stars despite knowing this would become my go to cafe if I lived in Bellingham because the service was very meh. I had my baby with me and held her while I tried to put a to go lid on my cup. Both the barista and the counter server watched me, including making eye contact with me and never offered to assist. It took another customer watching me struggle one-handed with baby in my other arm to ask if I needed help. I know it's not required, but it would be nice to be assisted by servers if they see you struggling. As far as the cafe itself, the lighting is gorgeous, there is tons of seating, and I can tell it is likely a wonderful spot to do remote work or meet with friends or clients.

Today, staff were friendly and nice but when presented with the card unit, the employee had already put in a 20% tip and before I realized what I had done, I had already paid it. If I decide to tip you, it's up to me. Tipping comes from generosity but this felt like a shakedown.

It was a really clean (outside and in) + decorated cafe and easy to find (right on a street corner). They had a selection of gluten free items to eat, including gluten free focaccia which worked out great since my partner is GF. Even though it was a Saturday morning (it was super packed) we still found a table to sit at and were able to enjoy everything. We came back a couple of days later, but we missed the food (the kitchen closes at a specific time) so we ended up getting coffee to go. We don't really get much to eat here because we are usually saving space for all of the great restaurants all over town.
