She's so smart and knowledgeable! L&L Bakery is a quaint, cute, clean, bright place with appropriate decor, efficient, polite service, and delicious, beautiful food! Had the opportunity to try their cookies, cake, macarons, and coffee while staying in town for a week and not a single one of the above was anything less than exemplary. Great little cafe/bakery with delicious treats! Friendly and cozy atmosphere. Nice place to relax or just grab a coffee/snack to go. I have been following L & L Bakery/Dessert Shop for close to a year! They were in the process of moving into their shop in Blaine when we contacted them last but this was our first time coming in! The shop is non descript on the outside, but once you walk through the door, you are immediately immersed into a cozy and delicious, quaint shop! There were several sets of customers sitting down enjoying lunch and/or treats. My husband and I were drawn in by the colorful bakery cases, fully loaded with all kinds of sweet and savory goodness! We sampled several cookies and decided to place an order for Christmas for a casual family gathering at home. We ordered Meat Lovers Quiche, Vegetarian Quiche (they also have a GF quiche by the way..). Also loads of sweet goodies, a variety of cupcakes, cookies and sandwich cookies. When I first "discovered" L & L Bakery, I found cupcakes that were so good that they reminded me of what my Mother made many years ago. I closed my eyes and cherished every bite and even experienced a little bit of emotion remembering the love that my Mom baked everything with. We ordered the meat quiche, carrot cake, chocolate cake, peanut butter cookie and cake cups! We wanted to try all of it! The meat quiches were a total hit with the family. Even so- I went back later that day to get more, but they were sold out. They are the biggest, tallest most delicious quickest I've ever tried. They are at least 4 inches tall and smothered in cheese. The carrot cake is soft, most, perfectly spiced and the butter cream in between the layers, just melts in your mouth. The peanut butter cookie was eaten so quickly and I didn't get a bite from my husband. The kids loved the cake cups and they've lasted them 2 days already since they are so rich and filling. Peanut butter cookie in the shape of a 3"x6" Nutter Butter... just say, "yes" you'll be glad you did. Already mentioned the chocolate cake, yummy, but did I mention the gold leafing?!?!?! Chocolate chip cookies are a delight and they taste better than homemade. Lemon raspberry cupcake, light and fluffy like eating a yummy cloud. Atmosphere is lovely, small town, cute and classy. Look up at their ceiling, it's not just that usual foam-board it's like a wainscoting style, these lovely folks pay attention to detail. Me and my daughter were lucky enough to be their first customers when they opened their doors and we tried an assortment of goods and everything was delicious. The staff was super friendly and helpful in guiding us in our choices. We tried the quiche, which was warm and fresh out of the oven, raspberry mouse cake, death by chocolate cake, raspberry macaron, peach macaron, chocolate chunk cookie, and lemon drop cookie. The size and prices were great, and again the flavors and quality of everything was exceptional. Their Death by Chocolate Cake is my new favorite cake!
