Carrot cake

I absolutely love the breads here. Really friendly and honest owners. They told me they would give a discount on their bread as it had been baked the day before, so they couldn't charge me the full price. Their apple squares are really good. The walnuts in it add to the texture and it's just the right level of sweetness. Try their Walnut and cranberry sour dough. Crusty on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The cranberries used are fresh. Would recommend.

I'm buying a delicious-looking Mango Mousse cake next time I come back to Michael's.

My sister bought some cookies at Michael's the other day and I was so intrigued by this bakery because the cookies were so delicious. So I decided to come in and discovered carb heaven! The bakery is located just south of 152 on 24th in South Surrey. There's lots of parking in the plaza with other interesting stores like a cool looking bookstore. I was immediately taken by the smell of fresh bread and they do have quite a selection. I made a bee line for the cookies and pastries and couldn't choose from all the awesomeness. The one guy working behind the counter was not very communicative as I asked him questions about his products (he just shrugged or moved his head to respond...a bit rude as he spoke fluent English). As expected in a good bakery, the products were expensive so I just picked up a box of assorted cookies and slices of apple cakes. I can't wait to take my parents, who lives nearby but didn't know this bakery was there, to visit and hopefully "Rudy McRude" is not working that day.

Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake

Just finished the last piece of my Birthday Cake and it is probably the best Chocolate Hazelnut Cake I've ever had. Very rich and moist! Unlike those cakes sold in supermarkets, it is not too sweet. Will definitely try again next time. Their cookies and sandwiches are also good. I almost tried every single flavor of their cookies and chocolate vanilla one is my favorite.

Quality. 10/10 would recommend the ham and Swiss on rye. Delicious bread, good people and fair prices. Give it a shot

Their bakery tastes excellent. Fresh brewed coffee is also good. Better than those chain coffee shops. And it is not as expensive.

A bit different than the standard breakfast menu. I had the halipino omelette and my partner had the mushroom omelette. I'm sure it is made with three eggs as it was a lot. It came with thin chopped potatoes and toast. There was plenty for us. This is a small dinner and the tables are the 50's theme. Chairs were newer. Big wall scenes enhanced the place. The owner was extremely friendly and I believe his wife does the cooking. Service was great and there were about 6 tables on going when we left. All were served quickly. The food came hot. It didn't sit around under food warmers. The place opens at 830 which I thought for a breakfast place is a little late for opening.

This "diamond in the rough" cafe is just what any hard-working business needs as the go-to next door joint Conveniently located as they are, they're available for dine-in, take-out, or Food Delivery apps such as UberEats/SkipTheDishes. NOTE: menu prices are subject to change when using food delivery apps- so shop around! This time around I ordered UberEats, for pickup. My coworkers have ordered from here numerous times and finally.. today was my day. The ambiance was clean, open, and inviting upon entering and I was greeted with a big smile from the man behind the counter, serving two dine-in customers. I was welcomed and given my order, waiting, very quickly, by the front door, and was soon on my way back to work. The Cajun Chicken Burger was tasty, and cooked just right, though the spices were to be desired. I love my Cajun food, but here, they were overwhelmed by the other accoutrements on the bun itself. It almost may as well have been salted/peppered at most. That said, the Two juicy pieces of white meat chicken? How can you go wrong! The only way, would be if you don't ready yourself with some napkins - my chicken was sliding all over l, out of the bun, and my hands were covered in mayo. But, it was worth it to pop those birds back in and chomp away~ My fries were crispy, crackly, and fluffy on the inside, without too much grease. They were fried to perfection and when paired with the delicious gravy (tastes like chicken!) I was beyond pleased. Smooth, creamy gravy with savoury notes, that tastes homemade? Yes, please, all day~ To round it out, I also got myself an English Toffee coffee to go. Hot, smooth, creamy, and buttery all rolled into a delicious brew, to go. Again, how can one complain? If you're looking for a tasty bite with a smile, at a slightly higher cost than fast food (because this trounces those joints), in a convenient location, that hits it out of the park every time with what they dish out, then Rosie's door is open and waiting for you to sit down and prepare to be satiated~!

They do a high tea and you need to make reservation for that. The tea sets are very pretty and I liked how each one is different. The table next to us had the tea and the food looked good. My friend from NYC was visiting and wanted a non chain Canadian brunch place. He was in the South Surrey area and this place was nearby. People in White Rock and South Surrey are lucky to have this in their backyard. It has a La Foret vibe but without the noise. Food wise, I think this place has more options and alcohol. The desserts look good but I always forget about it as the showcase is away from the seating area. The brunch food is really good. I like the shakshouka which I hardly see on the menu in many places here. The sauce is just a tad spicy, eggs perfectly poached and toast is yummy. The chicken French toast looks very pretty with the fruits and whipped cream on it. Delicious too. My friend likes the breakfast poutine though the eggs looked a bit sad. I also tried the bulgogi beef sandwich which is tasty too. I had the flat white on a previous visit and it was not that great. The latte is much better. I like the white chocolate macadamia latte. Plenty of parking and the service is good here. I will come back again if I'm in the area.

Not sure why they have poor ratings…read more I stepped in and it is the most spacious restaurant/cafe in town with high ceiling, stone wall and lots of plants. It's so calming and welcoming with artist painting displayed on the wall. I had a group of 6 people (always large group for me) and Servers were very responsive and attentive to our table quickly. I have to say the menu has way too many choices and combo that Gordan Ramsey would definitely ask them to scale back in order to eliminate confusion or mistakes. Despite the case, all our orders were made correctly. Dishes were served super fast and IG photogenic. They even have high tea but you need to reserve your table 2 days ahead. FYI, all their desserts are gear towards the Asian style cakes which is very light, not too sweet but favourable. Definitely unique for this area. Will definitely go back again.

The cafe is a replica of a railway caboose and the kids could relate to the dining car experience. The covered patio is great to sit and munch on food, but on a sunny day, I would however recommend just ordering take out and sitting on the picnic tables right beside the cafe on a sunny day. We ordered a few beverages (Chai Latte, Americano & Maharaja Express) and snack items (ham sandwich & scone) - and everything was reasonably priced and served quickly. The scone was really good though, like better than many of the scones around. We imagined this being a quick coffee stop on the way but ending up spending a good 30mins soaking the views. The pit stop was worth every minute!

On this visit we had the falafel and the Reuben, and both were delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Between the unique setting and the great food, this spot is such a fun little surprise. Definitely worth a visit (or two... or three!).
