We went to lemon bakery for high tea, it was mediocre. Its not a place I think of returning to for high tea, as there are many better options for high tea, although the price of Lemon Bakery's high tea is lower than others. I fell like the lower price reflects in the food though. An egg salad sandwich and a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich type of thing. really nothing special that you couldn't make at home. The establishment is very nice, but didn't get a warm feeling when I walked in. What I ordered was 3 sandwiches the Honey Mustard Ham, Grilled B.L.T.C and the Turkey Cranberry as a wrap, 3 baked good and there was not many choices for bread options either. There were NO sides that came with sandwich or the wrap. I did ask if there were any little side that came with it and the response was rude with a hard no. Honestly even if was just a little pile of plain chips or just a small amount of pasta salad would have been nice to go with my sandwich. I think the prices are well over priced for a sandwich/bakery place. I have been to many other bakery/sandwich places and I have always received with my sandwich, 1 or 2 small sides. I also found that there wasn't really anything special about their sandwiches, they were ok. I will never go back the Lemon Bakery. This is our go to spot. Prices are reasonable, the ingredients are always fresh, their breakfast is amazing and so is their lunches. They have the best turkey sandwich I've ever had. They have many different pastries and desserts, their bread pudding is fantastic. I don't write reviews that often but I had to for this one. This place deserves your business. read more

I want to love this place but it is not happening (yet). I like a good loaf slice, unfortunately the regular lemon or lemon blueberry loaf slice was sold out, so I had the lemon blueberry mini loaf. The texture was not the same as a regular loaf slice. It was more like a muffin? The icing was very sweet too. So that was a disappointment. The cappuccino was ok, nothing special. The other baked goods looked nice but I was not in the mood for scones. Parking is available out front. read more

I stopped by for lunch. I ordered the soup and scone combo ($7). The scone was by far one of the better ones I have tried in a long time. Soup was carrot and yam and it tasted healthy. This is a bakery located right next to Mr Lube. Parking can be challenging during peak lunch hours. Credit card payment accepted which is always a plus. read more

Not sure why I haven't been to this cute little bakery in the heart of Langley City before today! It is a bright and cheery place to stop in for a coffee and a treat or a yummy sandwich for lunch! Love that they have locally sourced their coffee from Republica Coffee Roasters and that all of their baked goods are made in house! I got a sample box of goodies and enjoyed everything we tried. The Ginger Molasses Cookie was probably oufavourite! They are a great resource for ready made platters...they offer breakfast platters, dessert platters, sandwich platters and more! We will definitely be looking into these in the future! Great options for a staff room...night even drop some off for some of the teacher lounge in our local inner city schools! So I ordered a couple of breakfast trays for one of our local schools and I have to say I was a little bit disappointed. The trays weren't cheap and I just felt like for what I paid I could have done a better job myself. The baking was all one note and kind of bland looking. The teachers were still thankful of course but there could have been a better variety of baked goods for sure! read more

So promising! The name! Butter! I tried their lemon squares and lemon loaf and definitely not lemony enough. Just a bare hint of lemon. For a lemon loaf you need a nice soak of lemon juice and sugar to penetrate at least the top half. Barely dented the loaf. Also lemon squares while nice and buttery lacking lemony zest. I ordered a little sampling of their pastries and was overall very pleased. The pumpkin scone seemed to have egg nog frosting on it and it was so good. Not too crumbly or bread-y, just perfect. Their lemon squares are huge and very tart; a nice treat. I wasn't a huge fan of the mini chocolate bundt cakes, only because I was expecting something more dense like a brownie, but as a fluffy chocolate cake, it was good. I'll be back for sure. Have tried twice to order a cake from this bakery. They state on their website a 24-hr notice to order cakes. I went into the shop early Friday AM for a Saturday afternoon cake and they could not accommodate me. The next time I called early Thursday afternoon to order a cake for Saturday and despite giving 48-hr. notice, again they could not accommodate me. Perhaps you should advise people to give 72-hr. notice for the weekend (or is that still not enough?). read more

I tried Chicken with Apple (so thin i missed it) and chicken was very dry...very very crumbly not fresh at all. Could have used Mayo or something. No sauce tasteless...most of the filling fell out nothing to keep in sandwich some on floor. Make it good..one lettuce leaf does not do it for me. No soup they told us. What? Give this place a wide berth, almost anything in town is better. The staff lacks any personality, smiles or eye contact. The "Sandwich of the Day" was an extremely bland chicken sandwich, which consisted of: a very basic bread (seriously could have been Wonder Bread), SHREDDED lettuce (what type of place uses that??! It fell all over my plate instead of the sandwich or my mouth) cubed grilled chicken (which they tout as their specialty for some reason) and mayonnaise. It was nothing that I couldn't have made better at home for much less than the $7.95 price tag. The coffee is drip: no cappuccinos, no mochas, nothing special. And to boot: this was actually my second visit there. The first visit, we walked in and asked if they had any specialty coffees, to which of course they replied the did not, and we decided to go elsewhere. I later messaged them very nicely on Facebook, asking if they had plans to acquire a cappuccino machine in their future. They read the message and did not ever respond.
