Checked out Angus T during its soft opening and such a beautiful space! Luckily it wasn't busy since it was Monday afternoon. They did run out of a few things but I tried the green tea croissant and the cinnamon bun with apple and both were really great.

Firstly, there is parking, just be mindful and respectful to those spots that are reserved for other businesses. Once inside you're greeted by the friendly staff. The menu consists of Mexican favourites as well classic north Canadian eats. Do check out their daily specials too while you're there. There is quite a number of tables so if you have a large group I'm sure they can accommodate. We ended up ordering asada quesadilla, comes with pico de gallo, sour cream and a spicy salsa $20. Iced cafe mocha $6 Iced Spanish latte $6 Coffee was fantastic and the quesadilla was good. I saw some people order the breakfast which looked fantastic! That will definitely be my next order! Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with anything your order there. Go support this small business and enjoy the food!

Over the past year and a bit this has become one of our favourite breakfast places. But it is more…read morethan just a place for breakfast or brunch. It is also a fantastic spot to work if you wanna have a café setting because their pastries and bake goods are absolutely fantastic. In fact last year for Christmas, we bought one of their Christmas cake options which proved to be super popular with the family. What I love about this location is the decor. On one side it is a simple industrial warehouse. But it has that post modern feel with all of the live plants. The live plants is what I love and the tall ceiling for the plants to fully grow. Though if they are looking for something else, which could really bring this to the top, it would be to have a fish tank. A fish and or water feature around the massive plant island in the middle of the dinning area would be chefs kiss. Of course, what about the food? From here, I find the food here is excellent. Sometimes the flavour combinations are a little weird. But that's typical for the Vancouver foodie scene. Vancouver food scene is a fusion hybrid of local ingredients mixed with traditions from cultures from other places around the world. But the bottom line is the portions are a good size. The platters in particular are large and would feed a very hungry person. You definitely get your moneys worth. You don't get much table service once you are done with your order. But that is all right because of it size and volume for the amount of people who come through. I am totally happy with the self serve station, which could be enhanced and the large setting with all of the very mature plants. If I would offer advice to anyone it would be this. If you are going to be there on the weekend arrive before 9 AM. People start lining up at 10 to 15 minutes before the store officially opens. Plus I find is easier to take the street parking rather than playing with Faith trying to back out with customers who are not paying attention.

I did get a spoonful of the glorious whipped cream on top of my daughter's mango croissant. $8.50 Heaven. We thought it was worth every penny! The only gluten free item they offered on this day was a chocolate walnut brownie. Rich and pretty satisfying! We didn't mind a bit waiting for our specialty lattes but the flavors were underwhelming. Snow Velvet Latte $6.20 Double shot espresso, regular milk, vanilla syrup, velvet cream, cocoa dusting. My iced 16 ozs dark chocolate mocha was also not a memorable one. In spite of the unsatisfying lattes and lack of GF items, I'm still fond of the energy that fills in this cafe so I'll probably return.

Ube Latte with Cold Foam Rich, nutty sweetness of purple yam blended with creamy espresso, finished with a silky layer of cold foam. Cherry blossom matcha with cotton candy has so instagram-worthy presentation! Not only it looks pretty, but alsoit tasted great! Strawberry puree and matcha paired so well. Ube latte with cold foam was good, too. Their espresso stood out and ube flavor came through later. I really liked their espresso which was strong and bold. Ube foam was very tasty. I really liked this item. Service was extremely good and friendly. I will revisit this place and would like to try different item next time

Plenty of seats for small groups and big groups. High ceilings make the location feel spacious. And it was busy with a lot of people. I think if I'm going to hang out with people, coffee loft would be a great spot. However, I don't think the coffee and pastries are particularly good. But of course, I'm a bit biased since these are the things I look for in coffee shops: the coffee. It's not bad. It's just okay. So in short, I think if you're looking for a place to hang, Coffee Loft is great! If you're looking for coffee or pastries, there are other places. Still worth visiting though!

This "store"/nursery was called Molbak's, and they had events at every holiday, free plays for the kids, free pumpkin painting, free Christmas shows, huge poinsettia events....the holidays were huge here, and even during non-holiday times, Molbak's was a gorgeous, special place. We brought out-of-towners here when they visited. There was always something for everyone here. High-end and unique items, beautiful stationery, holiday items that were NOT kitschy, plants and flowers and garden stuff.....and the café! SO good. There was something for everyone, and everyone loved it. This GardenWorks reminded me SO much of Molbak's. Just on a smaller scale. What a wonderful place, to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You really feel like you're in a special, hideaway garden. There are cute cats roaming about (and I'm not even a "cat person"!), and twinkling lights, and beautiful house and garden/patio areas. I found artisan glass hanging balls. I found ceramic koi fish figurines. I found unique earrings and rings. There's an area with women's clothing and accessories, men's grooming supplies, gourmet foods, kitchen gadgets, patio decor and furniture, garden sculptures, SO many plants and flowers and succulents and bonsais and birdhouses, and gardening supplies and tools, and more. Much more. Since we visited right after Christmas, they were having a 60% off sale on holiday decorations. I snagged some amazing ornaments for a steal (and they were super nice, good quality, too). They had a huge selection of ornaments, lights, figurines and more. I just wish they had some boxed holiday cards. We had a light lunch here in the cafe, by the fireplace. SO nice. I had a fabulous BLT (the bacon was cooked perfectly and wonderfully smoky), and there were lots of decadent pastries to choose from, too. I like the outdoor patio area for dining, too (but it was closed off for the winter. I look forward to checking it out come spring). The staff at the cafe counter, and at the store check-out counter, and outside too (we chatted with a guy about some trees), all were SO friendly and knowledgeable. This is a super place and I can't wait to return.
