a display of bread and pastries

The kind of bakery that you get a whiff of all their baked goods the moment you enter the door. We heard the scones were good so we decided to try the rosemary apricot scone! The scone was massive and bigger than our hand! The scone was fluffy on the inside and had a crispy golden inferior making it the perfect bite. I wish there was a little more rosemary in it since I didn't detect any but otherwise amazing spot

What a lovely little bread shop in Surrey. We were in the area and decided to come give this bakery a try. Unfortunately for us, we came close to closing so almost all of their breads were sold out but we decide to get a walnut cheddar country loaf which was absolutely delicious. We are definitely kicking ourselves for coming here so late and will definitely stop by earlier next time to try another loaf. We also got a ginger oatmeal cookie to go which was quite large and soft. The cookie was finished before we even made it back to the car. Super friendly staff which definitely makes us want to stop by here again!

Watery filling, undercooked filling

My partner, ordered a strawberry rhubarb pie for pickup June 8 morning. The woman working told him that the pie wouldn't be done for another 15 to 30 mins because the oven was not working or had a glitch. The pie was for a birthday and it was not cooked through at all, and should have not been sold to us given the quality. We were extremely disappointed. The pie crust was still gummy and tasted like raw dough, and far from any type of flakiness. Uncooked dough when consumed, could put someone at risk for foodborne illness. Being a bakery, you would think they would have known better not to sell uncooked or partially cooked products to clients. The rhubarb was still very crunchy, sour and the filling was extremely watery and lacked any hint of strawberries. It should have been renamed as "rhubarb pie". We have ordered the apple pie, peach pie, bumbleberry pie, quiche lorraine and the tortiere from fieldstones before and we had never had a problem with their products. I emailed them and messaged them on Instagram, awaiting response....

Banana and pecan tartlets, chocolate and apple walnut cakes, ginger crackle and chocolate chip cookies, coconut tartlet, and a croissant

I love this bakery! The moment you walk in, you're enveloped by the irresistible smells of baked goodness. I had heard the hype and wanted to check this place out. I got there right when it opened at 10 am; however, there was still a line, which attests to the popularity of the place. They only let 4 people in at a time so be prepared to wait during busy times. There were so many delectable treats to choose from, but I finally settled on the coconut tartlet, banana tartlet, pecan tartlet (this was my fave - so good, especially the crust!), apple walnut cake, chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookie, ginger crackle cookie, and a croissant. You can definitely taste the butter, especially in the tartlet crusts and the croissant (pro tip for the croissant: if you can't eat it right away and you have an air fryer, pop it in there for a few minutes and the croissant comes out crispy and amazing!). You can definitely taste the quality and care in this bakery. I suggest going right when they open, if possible, to get the best selection and avoid having to line up for too long. Their stellar reputation is well deserved!

Best house-made baked goods in town! If you're on your way to crescent beach, hit this place up to grab a snack. This bakery is always busy. I absolutely love everything about this bakery. Very aesthetically appealing and their food is so fresh and amazing! You MUST TRY the oatmeal apricot cookie, it's simply delicious!! They also have savoury items which I've tried in the past and are also very good. They also have eclairs, cakes, gronala, tarts, brownies, and a variety of freshly baked breads/buns. The smell of fresh bread and the cute flower planters make it a beautiful setting for some relaxing time. It's centered around a lot of large trees and they have outdoor seating in the summer as well.

I stopped by this Bakery and purchased sausage roll, Eclair, and Rosemary and Lemon Pugliese loaf (100% organic). All excellent and delicious!!! They say "All our breads are made with certified Organic flours. Use filtered water and sea salt. To instill the artisan method of baking truly unique and flavourful breads, our breads are baked in a French stone-hearth oven." During we sat and ate at the bakery, people were constantly coming, lining up to purchase breads. Must be well-loved very popular bakerly! I'd like to try their cakes next time :)

Mann & Co Bakeshop - Inside the bakeshop with holiday decor

Mann & Co Bakeshop

Like so many others, after binging Is It Cake? (the holiday series was just released!), I knew I…read morehad to pay Mann & Co Bakeshop a visit. This bakery is cute! I was in love with the welcoming ambiance. There's a fridge with cakes to go, and the treat window was filled with sweet goodies to stock up on. There's not much of a seating area--just two armchairs--so it's more of a takeaway spot. We purchased cake trifles (Red Velvet & Cardamom), stuffed cookies (Lotus Biscoff & Cardamom Pistachio Chai), and sweet spot cakes (Mango Lassi & Kulfi) to go. Everything was delicious! The cookies weren't overly sweet and had the perfect chewy texture. My favorite was the Cardamom Pistachio Chai. Unfortunately, our visit happened to be during the heavy winds when most of the Lower Mainland had a power outage. I was so happy they were still open, as we had driven all the way from East Van to get there. They were flexible enough to take e-transfer as payment, which was a lifesaver. And lucky for us, we got to meet the man behind the bakery, Jujhar! Even though he was busy dealing with the power outage, he still took the time to say hello, which was really nice. I wish they were closer, but maybe it's a blessing in disguise because my wallet and waistline would definitely be in trouble. Overall, Mann & Co Bakeshop is absolutely worth the visit, even with a bit of a drive. The creative flavors, high-quality treats, and friendly service make it a standout spot for baked goods. I'll definitely be back (probably sooner than I should) to try more of their unique creations. If you're a fan of Is It Cake? or just love a good dessert adventure, this place should be on your list!

Great little neighbourhood bakery . I've lived here for 12 years and only recently found this place…read more. Fresh , quality breads and pastries . Very reasonable prices . Staff is always pleasant and helpful . The parking lot is terrible since the mall redid the layout and the addition of the new No Frills which is in the same corner as the bakery . Of course this has nothing to do with the bakery itself and just a note to self . I always pop in for fresh pastries when we have company coming over and everyone comments on how delicious they are . Great little local family shop . Well worth the short drive for me and the quality of items .
