Mango mousse - 8/10 Hazelnut - 9/10 (Long lines on Boxing Day) Good food quality, hazelnut is a lot more delicate and worth the buck imo

I'm writing specifically in regards to the incredible deals this bakery participates in with the TooGoodToGo app. This bakery is great on its own, but when you pair it with the crazy deals you can get through the app, it makes this place even more amazing! For instance, we got their large Chestnut Cake, which is usually around $47, for only $16! You don't get to choose the flavor of cake, but they give you whatever they didn't sell the day before. Definitely worth it, especially because we didn't find the quality of the cake to have suffered. Great app and great bakery. Highly recommend both!

    6 inch Mango Mousse Cake

I love this bakery. It is a little on the expensive side, but food is good. We ordered a couple of items on different occasions and were never disappointed. The swiss rolls are good. Tried Mocha, Chocolate, Mango and Vanilla. Mocha is not that great, rest of them are good. Their butter filled buns are amazing. The best one out of them all is the Mango Mousse cake. For a 6 inch cake it costed us around $28, but the cake is amazing. Will keep going back to this place.

The fruit cake was beautiful... light, fluffy, and tasted great. It was customized in about 10 minutes for me and I walked away very happy.

They're located in a small plaza next to a hair salon. We dropped in on a Saturday (around 1:00pm) and there was a small lineup outside. It's a tiny shop with limited selection. Service wasn't the friendliest but it's more of a grab and go spot. There are two small tables outside if you choose to linger. Small selection of pastries, bread and macarons along with a few drink options. 15 macaron flavours ($2.00 each) and two creative macarons ($3.00 each) were available. - Chocolate twist ($3.60) - J bought a twist to eat right away. I sampled a bite; flaky, buttery and fresh. - 6x Macarons ($12.00 for 6) - we opted for the passionfruit chocolate, earl grey chocolate, matcha, mango, pistachio and black currant. All sounded great but we wanted bolder, stronger flavours. Favourite of the bunch was the black currant. GM&F is a cute French pastry shop to check out if you're in the area. 3.5 stars.

I found J'Adore Les Macarons on Yelp that they offer macron class, let's do it! The instructor Connie is friendly and knowledgeable. My friend and I arrived 10 mins early before the class, the notes and some ingredients were prepared and placed on countertop. Yes, we made macarons at her kitchen. The first thing I learnt from Connie was how to pronounce Macaron. (Mac-a-ron). Macaron is referring to the French Macaron. If pronounce it macaroon, it is the coconut kind. We started with a cup of tea and tasted beautiful macarons during the class. Our group decided to make Lavender macarons with buttercream and chocolate ganache which made of 66% Valhrona dark chocolate. Connie taught us her secrets and techniques to make Parisian macarons. During the class, she vigilant in checking and measuring the ingredients. After 4 hours long class, I really enjoyed and learnt a lot. I took 18 macarons home and shared with my friend and hubby. I would recommend any macaron lover to take the class or buy the macarons from Connie

I am relatively new to them as just being introduced to them this year! Although I am a macaron noob, I've looked online and read recipes and know enough about them to truly appreciate the precision that goes into its creation. So I went to their website and signed up for a class on Victoria day. I went on my own as my friend was unavailable. Connie, the instructor emailed me promptly to let me know as soon as there are 4 people in the class, it will be good to go. The class is held at Connie's house which I liked as it was warm and comfortable and made me feel at ease. I'm just a self-taught baker making assorted cookies and cupcakes at home and have never taken a class before so I didn't know what to really expect. The intimate setting of having 4 students was awesome. She had tea for us to drink, fun aprons to wear and 2 sample macarons to taste as we learned the secrets of baking macarons. It's great for people who have tried making macarons and need to tweak something to make consistent perfect macarons. You can tell Connie is just obsessed with macarons. I love it! She has done the work, spent time learning the skill and art of them and loves sharing that information through her classes. I think she said she has been making macarons weekly for the past year and a half! That's a LOT of macarons. If you love macarons and love to bake, Connie's class is a MUST. I had so much fun, and she is so pleasant. She even welcomes emails if you have a macaron crisis at home and have questions in the future. The price is fair. $100 for instruction PLUS you get to take 20 macarons home! It was definitely worth it. The whole experience makes me dreamy for Paris and macarons. Thank-you again Connie for generously sharing your expertise!

What I didn't expect was how great things can come in small packages. The location is very tight and cozy, as space is small. It was beautifully furnished with some cute and vintage decor. The only downside I had in my experience is that it was really hot when I went, which made it really hot in the building. People were sweating like hot tea. Now what I am excited to talk about the high tea itself! My 3 friends and I shared a pot of cream of earl grey. The taste was rich and creamy (depending on how much cream and sugar you put). I really enjoyed the blend of the tea, it made me start drinking tea again at home. The food was great as it came with an assortment of sweet and savory pasteries. I really enjoyed the spinach puff pastry and lavender lemon tarts! It was just how you would have imagined. Flaky pastry with a creamy spinach and the tart lemon paired with a buttery crust. I just wish I had more of those to eat! You only get one per person. It's also worth mentioning that the staff were super helpful. We mentioned that one guest had a nut allergy and they were able to accommodate by bringing our friend her own separate tray! They also refilled our tea and cream quite often. We really felt like royalty with the service provided! I will be coming again! It definitely was a pleasure being there.

I had heard…read morenegative things about this place compared to other places for tea so I tried to talk her out of going. She said let's give it a try based on a recommendation from a friend. We were all pleasantly surprised. It wasn't so bad although they didn't have cloth napkins, we didn't get a choice of tea, the cups didn't match and there were some cheaper cutlery used, and finally there wasn't really a lot of food and the food was good but not anything remarkable.. I didn't like that the egg salad sandwiches used wonder bread or something of that quality. It could have been made a little more special and I wish there were more savoury items. Nevertheless, when we went, we got a choice of three rooms and it wasn't really busy so it was very nice. Usually your time is for an hour and 15 minutes, but we got to stay as long as we wanted. The staff were all very nice and friendly, which I appreciated and the decor was old-fashioned and the music was from the past so the ambiance was quite lovely. My mother really had a good time there, being her first high tea experience, with the added bonus of being able to spend some time in lovely Fort Langley. I would say it's worth a try.
