I'd like to begin by stating that I typically enjoy shopping at Fresh St...i particularly love the fresh produce and selection of baked goods. However on mother's day I had a negative experience when I went to the Fleetwood location to buy flowers. There were plenty of bouquets at different price points available for purchase so I grabbed a bouquet for my mom and waited in line to have it wrapped. I was very disappointed in how it turned out. The worker did not use cellophane and only used a liner with twine placed around the stems to tie it up. Without cellophane the liner just flopped down making the presentation of the bouquet uglier than when I got it wrapped. When I asked the worker why it was not wrapped in cellophane she replied "it's too busy." I pointed out that the lady next to me was getting her flowers wrapped properly with cellophane but she didn't redo mine. As I was leaving the parking lot I could see that some customers had a lovely bouquet to present to their loved ones and some of us didn't. Presentation matters and even if it's busy, we're all paying customers so consistency matters as well. read more

It would help her to know that differential treatment is rarely invisible to people who are targets all their life; and, for a woman 65+ years of age, well we are not quiet about it. I wanted to bring this to your attention. Seafood poisoning is dangerous and could cause death. I expect a lot more from your store and your employees. I bought 2 lobster tails from on March 15th, 2025. It was through instacart. I am unable to shop at the moment because I am recovering from surgery. 1. My whole house smells toxic from the lobster tails it's pretty disgusting. 2. The tails are partially green and slimy, they were frozen this way. My husband and I were out in Surrey and needed some lunch. He wanted something more filling but I wanted something light. A quick look at Google Maps told me that Fresh St. Market was nearby so I suggested going there as I know from past experience with Fresh St. Market that they usually have hot soups in their store, and I felt that a bowl of soup would suffice for my lunch that day. I chose the Lucky 13 Vegetable soup for my lunch, and just as I thought...it was really all I needed. Tasty and filling without being excessively filling. Also, no having to order and wait for it to be served to me. I could just serve myself, pay and go. I love walking into Fresh St. Market. No matter which location I go to, it's always a fun experience for me. They have such a lovely selection of foods to choose from and the way it's all laid out...they always do such a wonderful job on presentation. Plus, this particular location had a counter where you could order freshly made coffee as well as a Lunch and Dinner Grill counter where you could order freshly made food. Too bad it's all the way out in Surrey, but if I ever end up there again I would love to give the Lunch and Dinner Grill a try! It was such a treat to shop here this week! I was at my cousin's house in the area and needed to grab some ingredients to make a meal for a friend so I stopped in! Loved the plant and flower section...the bakery...the deli...the spice section and every section after that!! Local specialty ingredients in each section. I love a market that offers different ingredients than all the rest of the stores. Ingredients that inspire creativity in the kitchen, experimenting with spices from other cultures, creating boards with curated items that aren't always at your average grocery store. I strolled through the aisles with a smile on my face seeing the options available that meet the needs of different dietary concerns, offering delicious options and alternatives! It is a little drive for me to come here...but I am already planning my next trip! read more

I work near here on Tuesdays, so I usually come here for lunch. The food is great. From their soups to sandwiches, baked goods to coffee. I've had a variety of things and it has never dissatisfied me. I'd recommend getting the sticky buns or the cinnamon buns. Super fresh and tasty, and pairs well with their brewed coffee. It can get busy at times, so make sure you have enough time for lunch! read more

This is our brand new long awaited local grocery store that replaced the one that closed last summer. We are really happy with the layout of the new store and their fresh approach to the local market. They have great products at reasonable prices and even make some of their products on site such as fresh sushi, deli sandwiches and desserts. They also have a curry bar and soup bar with servings that range between $3.98 and $6.99. It's been open now for a few weeks and we really hope that the community embraces this new store so it will stick around. read more

This is a review of their bakery section. They have Kitchening & Co as their supplier of macarons. The macarons are heavenly. I could taste and distinguish each flavour without guessing. The macarons were light, crispy exterior, soft and chewy inside at the same time. Also, I tried the lemon meringue tart and that was great treat as well! Tart with a bit of sweetness. Service was great. The bakery staff was friendly and tried to make some small talk while packing the bakery goodies. read more

High priced regular grocery items. However, their bakery items and deli are spectacular! I always get a pack of the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies from the bakery. If you're in the mood for something super sweet, I would highly recommend THE COOKIE... yes, it's called THE cookie. Its kept warm and it's made with high quality ingredients such as walnuts, whole butter, and dark chocolate. It's super greasy and gooey but definitely hits the sweet spot... just make sure you have some milk with it to rinse the pallet after! They also have regular baked items such as bagels, breads and cakes which I have yet to try. Their deli is also great with fresh sandwiches, soups, and salads made in house. Prices are a bit steep but worth it. Last time, I ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap. It was made fresh and was only about 5 bucks - a lot better than subway, which not only rips you off but also does not use quality ingredients. Their floral area is super sweet. It's nicely organized and they have a variety of arrangements, good for any occasion. They also wrap the flowers for free and their wrapping is very cute. They use brown paper instead of regular tissue and use straw to make a bow. read more

This is one great find! It is the best Grocery stores I have been too. Yes some prices are higher than the local competition but I also found the majority of the items equivalently priced or better. The first thing you will notice is they keep their name sake Fresh! Fresh coffee, Fresh produce, Fresh seafood, Fresh butchery, Fresh bakery. Did I mention Fresh oh and the Deli! Amazing salads meats and cheeses! And if you have time for a meal you can get a fresh made burger only $3.99 or pre-made sandwiches or Fresh made. As well you can get made in store sushi, soups and meals. But here is the best experience I have had so far. We walked by the seafood counter the day before our family get together and placed an order for the next day. The next day we went to pick up the order and one item was late coming in. The muscles missed the ferry. So their response was of course the apology but then to my surprise was as soon as they arrived they would deliver them to my house. Two hours later there was a knock at the door and the muscles were delivered. The store is in Fleetwood and I live in south Surrey a good twenty minute drive away! WOW that is customer service! They have made a life customer out of me! read more

Oh Fresh Street, Where do we begin? Owned by HY Louie, This store has a very rustic feel and plays strongly on a very 'whole-foods' vibe. You'll find the various stations at the right side of the store, Coffee, Bakery, Breads, Grill, Sushi, Seafood, Cheese, Meats, Produce and Bulk. Very nicely marked, very FRESH and the variety is beautiful! The prices are generally higher then most, but it's worth checking out their flyer to see what deals they have going on. I love the fact that they have so many cool bulk items and lots of organic selections. I'm also impressed with the fact that they sell Philips Sparkmouth Ginger-Ale, a delicious british columbian treat from our island brethren! Worth checking out for sure!! read more

I like fresh street farm a lot. While it is really a tarted up IGA it like the tarting up. It has the feeling of a collection of small stalls, much like a real farmers market. The individual departments stock quality artisanal products such as cold meats and cheeses. There in a nice coffee kiosk and they make sandwiches to order. There is a sushi bar and a soup bar. They also have the usual meats milk and shelves of groceries. In all it is a pleasant place to shop with the occasional surprise. read more

This store used to be an IGA grocery store. The parking lot was quiet and we only went if we forgot something on our regular grocery shop. Since Fresh Street has opened, the parking lot is always full. Fresh local fruit, veggies and meat. A fantastic selection of fresh food. They serve coffee and food made fresh in-house. I just wanted to thank Fresh St. Market Fleetwood for the exceptional service our family received this past weekend. My son's wedding was on Saturday and we had ordered several sandwich platters from another store (not Fresh St.) and when we went to pick them up...they said there was nothing (even though order was confirmed). My daughter Ashley decided to phone Fresh St. and see what could be done in such short order and Eddie, Store Leader and the entire deli staff, saved the day. They prepared 3 wonderful trays of wraps in one hour and gave us a fabulous deal. Thank you Eddie and deli staff! I loved your store before this but now I am a huge fan !!!!!! I liked the look, feel, and the set up of the store. It seems to have potential and it seems like other people like to eat sushi here which I personally find strange. (if I want sushi I will get it from a great sushi restaurant) The other day was my first trip to the store. I only needed a few items. I bought fresh bulk Italian parsley. It was almost odorless and flavorless. A little disappointing. They didn't have any basil, even in those little clear packs. I thought the selection of fruits and vegetables was pretty good. The jalapeños that I picked up were in great shape. Heading to the meat department on my list was two racks of lamb. They only had one and the price was ridiculous....$24. For that price I can get a nice restaurant to cook it for me and have sides. So I passed it up and kept on going. (Save-on was $16) But I had a hard time passing up on those delicious looking mild Italian meatballs. I bought a couple of packs of eight. And tonight we tried them in my homemade marinara sauce. Let me qualify this by letting the yelpers know that I am a cook and a foodie and I make 95% of everything from scratch and so many people love it when I cook and love my food. This time I took a shortcut and bought the prepared meatballs. Myself, the girlfriend and the kids agreed that these were disgusting. They were fennel balls. They were lean which made them dry but what made it worse was the lack of any presence of salt. It was like they added a cup of fennel and a few tablespoons of cayenne. Spicy licorice. I hope somebody at the market rates this and immediately gets other store members to try and immediately changes their recipe. Mild italian? No way. Put a stuck in them and give them to kojak to suck on. In summary, going to fresh street market was like dating a hot girl with expensive tastes, but doesn't put out. Sorry market, i'll try again sometime down the road. read more

I love their online shopping and delivery service. The service is same day if you order before 11am. (Delivery after 3pm) They deliver Monday through Saturday. Their prices are reasonable with a reasonable delivery charge. I miss the prices of a few store brands of the major chains, but the convenience of shopping online and getting delivery balances that. I'd have given it 5 stars if prices were a bit closer to the major chain's. read more

I went into the store today with my small puppy who I was carrying. I just stopped by to get some bread. As I walked in an employee was rude and told me "You need to leave right now. No pets allowed. Get out!" So I got my brother to buy the bread for me. As I waited outside this employee was unprofessional as he complained on the phone about inventory counts and specifically spoke of names of employees on the phone. If there are internal issues with the staff he shouldn't badmouth them in front of the store. Not only is it unprofessional but it is portraying a negative image of the store. He also rudely eyed me as I waited outside the store with my puppy. I wasn't even in the store but he gave me a very unwelcoming look as if I am no longer welcome here even if I came to the store on my own as a customer. I have come to Fresh St for the last five years since I live across the street. But after this incident I will take my shopping elsewhere. Very disappointed in the customer service. If no pets allowed, he could have given me alternative ways to shop such as their online service and pickup. I know what good customer service is and this person was the worst person that has ever worked at the store. read more

Having lived in the area for over 20 years I have shopped everywhere. I love this store and keep coming back. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary you can generally find it here. I know my prices and for the most part I find them very competitive. The meat is fabulous and if you need something special just ask, they are only too happy to help. The staff is happy and eager to help. What can I say, it makes shopping a pleasant experience instead of a chore and I will continue to shop here. read more
