Perfection.. moist and not too sweet.. didn't get to try the cupcakes as they were taken so fast
When this cheesecake shop first started a few years ago, I came here and ordered a couple of cheesecakes. They tasted okay. Cheesecakes were cheesecakes. After a few years, I had their cheesecakes again and hoped that their quality would be better or something would have been improved. Looking at the shop, it has more varieties now. It is great! I had their cookies with different flavours this time. They didn't have them when they first started. They tasted excellent but cookies are not their main focus. Cheesecakes are! I tried their mango and matcha cheesecake. The mango cheesecake tasted fine however the matcha one had a weird flavour. If I compared it with really good matcha cheesecakes from different pastry shops in Lower Mainland, this one from Oh Sweet Day was way OFF!! They definitely need improvement on the matcha cheesecake. Its presentation looked good but missing the points on the flavour. This shop also has bigger cheesecakes other than the individual small ones. The pricing is reasonable but nothing has motivated me to order any cakes from them at this point unfortunately.
First time trying this bakery. I got the Ube, salted caramel, and mango cheesecake. All were excellent! Their cheesecake was dense and had the right amount of flavour. The crust was good too. I also tried the white chocolate chip cookie which was probably one of the best white chocolate chip cookies I've ever tried. It was a bit crispy on the outside and was softer chewier closer to the centre
This is actually my second or third time coming here but finally decided to leave a review. One of my favourite places for cheesecake in Vancouver and I really enjoy their Asian inspired flavours. Not too sweet, and delicious even a few days later when I didn't have enough stomach room to finish both of the cheesecakes. Highly recommend!
Must try the baked goods! Oh Sweet Day's tartlets totally made my day I tried the chocolate raspberry shortbread tartlet and it was out of this world. The crust was crumbly and chocolatey but not too sweet The salted caramel carrot cake slice was on the dry side and I could not taste the salted caramel part The mango cheesecake was not too dense, with a light mango flavor.
My first taste was the Espresso Cheesecake and boy oh boy, I am usually weary of cheesecake as it can be a bit too sour but this is my favourite by far! Last night, I had the good fortune to taste this decadent chocolate ganache that Fanny baked especially for my friend right before their summer vacation. What amazing customer service! The cake was beautiful, love the height and it was moist and we all love the fact that it has the perfect level of sweetness. Will be recommending your delightful bakery to more people in need of amazing cakes
My wedding cake was done by Fanny. Her cake was amazing and beautiful. It was one of those cakes people went for seconds. It was one of my favourite parts of my wedding. I looooooved it. It was finished and I wish I could have more.
I ordered the vegan & gluten-free mini lemon cheesecake, as well as the dark chocolate, via Uber Eats. For just $6.50 each, you get a more than enough sized cheesecake for one person, which can easily be served between two or three people. The texture of both cakes were quite light and more of a mousse than a cheesecake, but what's most pleasant is that it doesn't leave you feeling too heavy after a slice. As for the crust, it reminded me of middle eastern styled desserts with its nutty flavour and more crunchy than soft texture. The lemon cheesecake did have a bit of an odd taste to me initially. There was something I couldn't quite pinpoint about it that just sort of threw me off. Mixing it with the whipped cream atop seemed to balance it out, though. The dark chocolate cheesecake, I did prefer more. The filling had a very subtly sweet taste that went well when combined with the rest of the dessert as a whole. If you're eating this at home, pair it with a side of freshly sliced strawberries! For the price, you're getting a very filling dessert that'll satisfy any lingering cravings for something sweet, and since it's a slightly big piece for one person, you can put it away for a little breakfast treat the next day. It would be great if there were more vegan options!
Such a great place to grab some delicious desserts! Particularly their shortbread tartlet! I've tried the chocolate caramel shortbread tartlet and it was amazing! So chocolatety and creamy with the buttery tart crust and it's the perfect light dessert in between or after a meal! I heard some great things about their cheesecake too and it's definitely on my list to try next!
4.5 stars - Mini cheesecakes very good. We ordered a variety of mini cheesecakes including matcha, Oreo, espresso, black sesame, lemon and vanilla. All were good and not too sweet. I like the thick graham crust. It would be nice to see the chocolate crust as well. Rating: 1 - Poor, 2 - OK, 3 - Good, 4 - Very Good, 5 - Excellent
If you love cheesecake then this location is definitely worth stopping by. My sister knew about these cheesecakes prior to Daily Hive publishing an article. We managed to meet up for a lunch date and headed to this location after. I enjoyed a dark chocolate mousse cake. It was rich, delicious and not too sweet. I also took a bite off my sister's lemon cheesecake and it was very good. There was a bright lemon flavour. The cheesecake texture was firm and creamy. Prices are average. This shop is worth stopping by if you are in the area. There is paid street parking in the area or residential parking if you do not mind a farther walk.
Me and a friend were walking on commercial drive, and decided to get some tea or coffee. We both got the ginger lemon tea, which is probably the best and strongest tea of this combination that I've had. It was pretty pricey, as are all the treats as well. I also chose the earl grey cookie, which was just ok to be honest. I didn't even finish it. I mean, I did like the tea, but there is no way I'm going out of my way to come back here and I live in Vancouver lol. I don't know if it's worth the price. It's tiny and quaint and very clean. The service is fine. There's not much to say lol.
I tried the lemon cheese cake and coconut cake... both were delicious! Lemon cheese cake was light and not too sweet. The coconut cake was a generous slice and again not too sweet or overloaded with icing. The tarts were yummy too! The standout desserts are the cheesecake and cake. I'll come back definitely when I'm craving some dessert.
This place has so many different cheesecake options that you might need a few minutes to pick one and probably get recommendations from the people We ordered the lemon cheesecake which had a classic lemon taste, and really hit the spot. I also got the passionfruit cheesecake which was out of this world. The bakery itself is pretty small and there are only a few places to sit, but the cheesecake slices themselves are circular and just enough for you to get a decent taste without overdoing it. The service is friendly, and they were very helpful with helping us choose the cheesecakes Ambience, wise, it is nothing to rave about, but it is not bad either. Highly recommend this place if you want cheesecake read more

Oh sweet day is my favorite cheese cake shop. First, I found this place at farmers market. Then, it caught my eye their unique flavor's cheese cake. Now, they have 2 locations on Commercial drive and in Port moody. I got several kinds of cheese cakes for Thanksgiving gathering. What we got: Classic Vanilla, Espresso, Earl grey, Mango, Passion fruits, Pumpkin spice, Chocolate, Houjicha, Birthday, Salted caramel, oreo, Peanut butter, It was good deal - buy 5 get 1 free. I could not have all flavor, Most of them went to other guest. I got Houjicha, and a little bit of salted caramel. Texture was as always rich and firm. I felt flavor was a bit weak for houjicha, still it was very delicious. Salted caramel was great, strong caramel flavor. I labeled flavor name on the top of cheesecake, so, all guest were so curious about all flavors. Birthday cake, mango, oreo, were popular between kids, adult prefer earl grey salted caramel, others. Overall, it was a lot of fun to share variety of cheese cake! I highly recommend to get them for occasion or for yourself. read more
We ordered the 8" Earl Grey Chestnut Cream Cake from Oh Sweet Day on Commercial Drive for a work celebration, and it was a hit with everyone! The tall, layered cream cake looked so impressive on the table. We all appreciated the smooth chestnut cream and its balanced sweetness, which is not too sweet, making it perfect for those who enjoy more delicate, Asian-inspired flavours. While we hoped for a bit more Earl Grey presence, the overall taste and texture were lovely. We would go back to try more of their creations! Sweetness: 4/5 Taste: 4/5 Presentation: 3/5 Parking: 1/5 Limited customer parking behind the building, but there is street parking in the neighbourhood. Tips: * Recommends checking their website and pre-ordering the cake in advance. * Many cake options for birthdays, weddings, or any celebration. * Open kitchen concept! Would I Return: Yes read more

I called in yesterday at 1pm & order a birthday day cake for my grandmother. The lady on the phone said there's 3 cakes left for me to choose from....OREO cake. Red velvet & coconut. I thought I lucked out & ordered the coconut cake. The lady highly recommended the coconut! They asked for my credit card to hold the cake. I asked also for them to write HB grandma on the cake but the lady said they will do the writing with chocolate on the small board. Upon arriving, saw the cake that I ordered was nice but the HB wording truly disappointed me. This cake was not cheap, at $42, you couldn't do a better job. Even Safeway could do better!!!! I asked the guy that served us if we can get the pistachio raspberry cake instead cause it's easier to write HB on & on top of that the lady on the phone said they weren't baking anymore cakes for remainder of the day. The guy flat out said NO!!! I said the wording on the cake can be easily be removed. He said no again & told me to come back next time & order the raspberry cake!! I really don't think so after that display, lack of service with that attitude. Why? You think Your bakery is the only bakery in town?! No customer service & not being able to accommodate a simple switch over?!?! If the wording was on the cake permanently, I can simply understand. You are forcing me to buy something that was done poorly which the cake is highlight of the night's dinner! Btw, the cake was not moist at all, the only thing that was holding the cake together from being extra dry was the buttercream! Few days old maybe?! They lost me as a customer forever!! read more

I was in the area so I decided to drop by before dinner at Federico's supper club for Dine Out. I had just ate a bunch of pastries at The Bench Bakehouse, so I only got some shortbread as I loved those last time and a chocolate ganache tart, which I've been dying to try. The chocolate tart was phenomenal! The chocolate was rich and wasn't overly sweet, and the crust was excellent. It wasn't too hard, but it wasn't too crumbly either. I would recommend coming here if you're in the area ! Still a solid 4.5 star for me :)) read more

This is a nice little bakery with a few seatings. They are specialized in cake, tarts, cookies and cupcakes. Got 2 mini cheesecake, lemon and peanut. They are a medium soft cheesecake but for my taste, it would be better if they are a tad less sweet, as for the lemon, more taste of lemon and a bit more sour would be nice, the peanut one was quiet good even though it is a bit too sweet. I found their crust were a bit too thick. read more
