Great place for brunch. Reservations recommended for weekends. The place is very spacious and look very IG friendly. Rocks- filled walls looked pretty, with artwork for sale. They do a high tea and you need to make reservation for that. The tea sets are very pretty and I liked how each one is different. The table next to us had the tea and the food looked good. My friend from NYC was visiting and wanted a non chain Canadian brunch place. He was in the South Surrey area and this place was nearby. People in White Rock and South Surrey are lucky to have this in their backyard. It has a La Foret vibe but without the noise. Food wise, I think this place has more options and alcohol. The desserts look good but I always forget about it as the showcase is away from the seating area. The brunch food is really good. I like the shakshouka which I hardly see on the menu in many places here. The sauce is just a tad spicy, eggs perfectly poached and toast is yummy. The chicken French toast looks very pretty with the fruits and whipped cream on it. Delicious too. My friend likes the breakfast poutine though the eggs looked a bit sad. I also tried the bulgogi beef sandwich which is tasty too. I had the flat white on a previous visit and it was not that great. The latte is much better. I like the white chocolate macadamia latte. Not sure why they have poor ratings. I stepped in and it is the most spacious restaurant/cafe in town with high ceiling, stone wall and lots of plants. It's so calming and welcoming with artist painting displayed on the wall. I had a group of 6 people (always large group for me) and Servers were very responsive and attentive to our table quickly. I have to say the menu has way too many choices and combo that Gordan Ramsey would definitely ask them to scale back in order to eliminate confusion or mistakes. Despite the case, all our orders were made correctly. Dishes were served super fast and IG photogenic. They even have high tea but you need to reserve your table 2 days ahead. FYI, all their desserts are gear towards the Asian style cakes which is very light, not too sweet but favourable. Definitely unique for this area. Will definitely go back again. read more

Really delicious cafe and bistro deep in the south of Surrey. I've not found a similar kind of restauraunt anywhere nearby, so this was an exiciting find for us when we were hunting for something to eat for brunch/lunch after running some errands nearby. Theyve got a pretty extensive menu with lots of breakfast/brunch options, as well as a handful of lunch/dinner mains. We ate breakfast items so I cant speak to the quality of other dishes. Highly recommend the 24 shakshuka, as the sauce is one of the best I've had and so well balanced. The chicken hash was also very tasty, but to be honest my favourite part about that was the sauteed mushrooms. Dishes are a _little_ on the pricey side for the amount of food, but we left very full so I have no complaints on the value front. Service was fairly quick, although not necessarily attentive, but we were in during a bit of a lull. I ordered a flat white to drink as well which was great. They use Agro Coffee for their beans, and the barista clearly knew their stuff based on the quality of my drink. Beautiful latte art as well. Given the lack of similar alternatives nearby, ill definitely be back. But I'd be back even if there were other options, because the food was damn good read more

Came with a big party and the service was good and very nice ambiance. I ordered the Foccacia BGT and Spanish latte and the candied bacon was too sweet that it overpowered the entire sandwich. I couldn't taste anything but the bacon, but the other meals I tried were good and the latte was very good. The French toast and pancakes were very good, but I would say to avoid the Foccacia BGT if you don't want candied bacon with a side of sandwich. read more

We are from Southern California and were blown away by this amazing eatery!!! The Chef is not only sooo creative, his presentation and the care he puts into the menu and ingredients is impressive!! We love healthy food and LOVED the mix of produce that was made as part of each entree. The quality of comestibles was stellar; fresh and colorful!!!! The service was great...they were kind and accommodating. The ambiance was peaceful; natural themed with calming lighting. AND....the on-site bakery produces desserts that are TO DIE FOR.....best Macaroon of my life and a Crème Brûlée Danish that was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Guy Fieri you need to make a road trip to this "strip mall" in White Rock that is unassuming but houses a 5 STAR operation!!! I only WISH we had a place like this in San Diego!!! Bravo!! I went with my niece and daughters for the 1st time for lunch. I ordered a black coffee and they brought me a latte (I mentioned I'm allergic to diary) then I ordered the faffal salad ( mentioned I'm allergic to diary) salad came out with cheese on top. My daughters order a cheese burger and I asked what toppings come on it? The waitress said just ketchup. When it arrived it had mayo and no ketchup! Then after my salad arriving late and me sending it back and ordered nothing because everyone was finished eating She brought the bill immediately! As well my niece asked the waiter if she could get her waffle with the toppings on the side, the waiter was confused about what that ment, but my niece then told her that she wanted all the toppings on the side not on top of the waffle, and the waiter said that's how it comes. Next thing you know the wafflel came with everything ontop not on the side. I still was waiting for my hot water. As I'm still sitting finally having my hot water She came back again with the machine and was forcing me to pay. I politely said I'm not finished. This all took place in less than 40mins read more

So-so experience. First, we ordered coffees, one fancy coffee and one regular drip. They forgot the plain coffee and we waited over 20 minutes for it. Once received, it was weak and generally gross. We both agreed the food tasted excellent. Unfortunately, it took a very long time to arrive after ordering (almost an hour). This is probably one of the only restaurants that did not ask how I wanted my eggs poached. I would have said "medium." What I received were eggs poached softer than soft. Finally, service was sufficient. It was impossible to flag someone down and they didn't come around very often. We waited an inordinate amount of time after the table was cleared before being asked if we wanted the bill. Seemed a classic situation of everyone thought someone was doing it so nobody did it. 3 stars given because the food really was delicious. I have been to No. 24 Cafe & Bistro twice now when they are 30-60 minutes before closing time. I know it's late, but they allowed us to seat on a table and happy to serve us anyway! No. 24 seems to have a bit of everything- brunch, bar, veggies, pizza, pasta, and burgers! It's so nice to see a cafe/bistro that opens this late and they don't even try to kick us out or anything. All of the servers are very friendly and kind here! I have had pizza and the veggie skillet. The veggie skillet is piping hot but full of veggies with toast. They use all fresh ingredients and loads of mushrooms and potatoes! The server told me that it is for one person, but it was too much for me. But that's ok. We've had pizza here and they have an open-fire pizza oven. It was so fresh and it tasted just like going to an Italian restaurant. No. 24 is super clean, the servers are always so welcoming and smiley. Food is great, the washrooms are clean and the mood is calm. I am happy to come back again! read more

No attention to detail, servers have no idea about customer service. Ordered avocado / bacon, egg benedict, as well as an avocado egg benedict. Gave me a avocado benedict. No one did a quality check, needed to grab someones attention to have my order fixed, simply scraped off the avo and added bacon. Servers never checked in on how the meal was or if we needed anything. I did a google review and the owner responded that I made mistake and they caught in quality check. My wife likes this place for morning coffee so we decided to go there for a large brunch. It took about an hour to get food and even then only half the table was served waiting another 15 minutes for the rest of us to get food For most of the table the eggs bennys were good. I have a burger and found it to be soggy from the dressing and fell apart when picking it up. I found it funny that I ordered a coke and she brought me out a clear fizzy beverage. When I tried it thinking maybe it was sprite of something it was just carbonated water. So the staff is sitting there filling a glass with clear coke not realizing the syrup is out and still serves it. After that we waited about 20 minutes for the bill after they cleared the table we had to go up and ask them to bill out I really wanted to like this place and chalked it up to inexperienced staff and maybe being new but when I see numerous reviews dating back months I had to share. Came here with my husband for brunch on a Sunday, it took about 20 minutes for someone to take our order even though restaurant was only 50% full. Every time we needed our waitress she was busy talking to other staff. Really wish the service was better because the espresso martini I had was 10/10, and it's the only reason for 2 stars. Came in for 2 cups of coffee and two croissants with a friend, and the prices were unreasonable. I expected the bill to be no more than $12, but the total was $19 . I wouldn't have expected the price to be that high for a simple coffee and pastries, especially when the pastry wasn't fresh and it was rather flat, tasted like something from safeway. My husband and I went to try this place and while we ordered some treats to go the cashier decided to change the price of the baked goods and drinks on us! I told him the kombucha is 5$ and he said no I just changed the price to 6$!!! The cookie he added 0.50 cents!!! I know a dollar but it's the principal!!! My bf and I went to No. 24 Cafe & Bistro last evening and unfortunately we did not have a good experience. The staff greeted us with smiles, which was nice, but things went downhill from there. After we were seated and received menus it took 20 mins for anyone to come over to take our order. I ordered a Caesar salad and my bf ordered the spicy fettuccine. When our food came it was nicely presented, but my bf's pasta was so spicy that he couldn't eat it. I am not talking a little hot, it was like they dumped an entire spice jar of cayenne pepper on the plate. When he told the server that he couldn't eat it, and asked her to take it back she said "yes it is spicy" and nothing more. We also asked for water. She did not offer to get him something else or take it off the bill or anything else to make it right. Then we sat for another 20 mins (without the water) and she came back to ask if we wanted to have the bill. My bf said that he was not happy with his meal and he was surprised that the server did not take the time to understand his concern or to make things right. At that point the server said, well the dish was spicy because that is how we make it. She said that it indicates that it is "spicy" on the menu so he should have known. My bf explained that he expected spice, but not on fire and over the top. He explained that he is a chef and he understands how to prepare spicy food with a balance so that the customer can actually eat it. We asked to have the bill and mentioned that after that experience we would not be back. The server brought the bill and the pasta dish was listed there. My bf said that he wanted it removed from the bill because he didn't eat it. The server argued again that the food was spicy (so too bad). My bf insisted so she said she would have to speak to the manager. After 15 mins she came back and the pasta was removed from the bill, but she told us that this would be the only time, and lectured saying "next time we won't remove it". My bf was shocked that the manager did not come out to speak with us directly and, the server scolded us like we should have known better. He said that the service was severely lacking (citing how long we waited, etc.) and that the food was horrible, so their restaurant is a joke. The server told him he was rude and as a chef how would he feel if someone criticized his food and spoke to his staff the way he did. Please note that he never raised his voice or used profanity, he simply told the truth. We paid the bill and left shortly thereafter. We will not be back...you can be assured of that. read more
