Was waiting for our train and decided to try out this coffee shop, which shares the same building as Amtrak station. The shop is quite small, but it's cute! Ordered a iced latte. Friendly and quick service. Enjoyed my coffee during my train ride! Would definitely stop by when I'm in town!

This place is amazing! Friendly service and great atmosphere. The coffee is locally roasted and so good! If you're in the area, check it out. You won't be disappointed!

    Beautiful location !

Cute little coffee shop for a quick bite but not for lingering as space is very tight, Not good for large groups, but caters to weary travelers as well as locals. I chose a Latte and one of the grab-and-go sandwiches on my way to Marine Park. A bit pricey, but location, location, location. Nice selection, some of the items looked as if they could be more fresh.

Great spot for a hot coffee drink before catching the train. Had an excellent breakfast sausage burrito.

How I heard of this place: While Avenue Bread has been a Bellingham staple for a number of years,…read moreit was my sister, visiting from out of state that introduced us to the Fairhaven Cafe. Type of cuisine: Bread. All things freshly baked: bread edition. And all things on freshly baked bread. Sandwiches, pastries, coffees and more. Ambiance: Cozy, and vast, the space is equal parts grandma's country house charm and idyllic Fairhaven. The front is quickly bustling as we enter right as the doors open for the day, a line immediately building up behind. us. This spacious entryway full of menus in chalk and digitally are graced with a plethora of tasty options for snacks, meals, and treats enjoyed in the large, expansive restaurant or outside in the parking space-turned patio seating area. What I ordered: We selected four of their breakfast sandwiches on signature rosemary bread, each one as delicious as the last. For beverages, a mocha, an americano, and two steamed milks made their way to our table. What I loved: The sandwiches. Greasy, full, tasty and full of a novelty of tastes. They were devoured. Why I loved it: Quaint and cozy, a space for couples, families, friends and everyone in between. Cost: Average to high

They've renovated recently, but kept the heart of what makes the place special. It's now more modern, but still feels the same in all the right ways. Every time we're driving to or from Vancouver, this is a must stop for us. Folks that work there always give me the feeling they they like what they do and they know what they are doing. Their wine selection is quirky and fun. And near the register, there are often bottles you just won't see in typical US liquor stores. I usually pick one or two to try. On the food side, we always, always get the beet salad, german potato salad and mac salad- they are all made european style. Those are non-negotiable sides for us. Last visit they had a watermelon gazpacho on the specials menu that perfectly balanced sweet and bright, super refreshing. What they do best is keep things simple but execute flawlessly. A good chunk of the sandwiches you can get half ( then they become slightly expensive halves due to pricing :) )Great bread, great ingredients, no fuss. The Italian sub is proof. It's classic and spot on. My personal go-to, however, is the horseradish roast beef, fantastic combination. And the rotating panini specials are always worth a look. If you're passing through Bellingham, give yourself an excuse to stop in. We certainly do, every single time

Wonderful food and drinks. I started with oyster shooters (Willapa Bay) along with a Lion's Tail cocktail. Sierra said the bourbon and lime complement each other. I wouldn't have thought so and thought it a bit of an odd choice. But she was right and I was wrong: it was fabulous. One of the most delicious drinks I've ever had, for my tastes. She gave me several recommendations for dinner. I picked the Jalapeño Chicken. It was luscious and flavorful, but the best part of it was my choice of Balsamic Brussels sprouts as my side--oh my! These were so delicious I ordered two more batches to have at home. Lovely espresso martini to end it all.

The service was nice and prompt, they were catering to my alterations and helpful with suggestions. The Brussels sprouts were crunchy and properly cooked! The chicken was a little on the drier side but still satisfying. I think separately all the food was properly cooked, but the flavors didn't really mesh well. For the area it's a little pricey but i think the view, vibe, and food elevates it above other local fare of fairhaven.
