Rock hard dry roast beef
Shaylene M.

It's been a long time since ive been this disappointed in a meal but wow was it the worst sandwich and salad ive probably ever had..and for 18 dollars none the less b4 tip. It was so dry I ordered extra mayo and horseradish which was not extra at all on the sandwich... the meat as like two slices the ratio was way off.. ill post the photos to prove it. Now the "salad" they give you "leafy greens " were all brown and bad completely inedible I threw all but the 3 bites i tryed to get down of half of half of the whole sandwich away...super frustrated as this was my meal for work that I couldn't eat

One of my favorite breakfast spots! Affordable, lovely ambience, and friendly service. I love the diner's breakfast and breakfast sandwich.

Visited Sweet Bay Cafe while in town for a wedding! The interior of the restaurant was so cute and cozy, but could still fit several tables. We were seated right away and quickly ordered the Diner Breakfast and the Spicy Scramble. They were exactly what you would want on a weekend morning. The hashbrowns were the best thing. Would definitely come back to try different menu items or their fun lattes.

California scramble

Had the California scramble, chicken & biscuit (no spicy jam), and a specialty iced carrot cake latte. The scramble was very good. Not a huge portion, but I was content. The chicken and biscuit dish was very good, although a little sticky. We got strawberry jam with it (after we asked) which was excellent. The drink was very ordinary so would give this place 4.5/5*. Friendly server and ambiance.

Fried chicken biscuit

Solid spot for breakky! A little pricey but what isn't these days? Fried chicken biscuit was freakin yum. Perfect sweet, savory, spicy combo!

Roasted Vegetable Hash

Do not miss this sweet spot! The atmosphere, service and most importantly, food could not have been better. My husband had his go to eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. I went for one of the specialty breakfasts, Roasted Vegetable Hash and it was out of this world! We will be back anytime we are in town.

Monte Cristo and fried chicken pancakes

Went here for the first time this morning. I'm bummed we hadn't heard of this place sooner, it was fantastic and we're excited to come back! The vibe is relaxed, comfortable, and welcoming. Service is happy and attentive. The food is amazing! I had the monte cristo with turkey instead of ham - it was decadent and flavorful. I really appreciated that they grilled the turkey prior to adding to the sandwich, it was lovely touch. The mixed green salad was crisp and refreshing. My husband had the chicken and pancakes - the chicken was similar to karage, very crispy and seasoned well. The pepper jelly was surprisingly tasty and rounded the dish. Great coffee. Definitely making this our go to breakfast place.

Gingersnap Latte

This place was just what our family needed! A good variety of food options (highly recommend the chicken & pancakes). The service was great, cozy cafe vibes were lovely, and their gingersnap latte was also delicious. A great spot overall!

Barnyard Benedict, absolutely a delight to the senses.

Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Service is good but leisurely. Food was good; not remarkable but good. Clean surroundings.

Have wanted to try Turkish coffee for awhile and we found ourselves walking past this place after…read moreeating dinner and decided it was the perfect time! Oh man was it amazing, got the cardamom coffee to go with a piece of Helva for my little and the Chocolate baklava for me and hubs to split! The server was so nice and made sure to inform me the right way to just sip the coffee as it's not like regular drinking coffee- he asked I preferred sweet coffee and I said yes so he added a little sugar and it was just beautiful! My little demolished the Helva and hubs and I enjoyed our chocolate baklava at the end of a very fun but busy day! The shop it's self is small but beautiful as were the other customers enjoying their coffee made room for my little at the counter to look at all the treats in the case! Can't wait to head back and try some of the other yummy treats they have to offer!

We simply had to give it a try. And continue coming back. Type of cuisine: Turkish fare - from simit and borek, to cardamom or pistachio infused Turkish coffee, apricot and apple teas, baklava and lokum. We have always loved the foods, mostly imported directly from Turkey. Ambiance: Sweet and cozy, the space is full of beautiful Turkish art/craft - from lighting to seating, from merchandise to the tasty treats served, we love our bay window benches and small, tiled tables that barely hold everything we order. The brother-owners are always wreathed in smiles and humble, grateful service. The music is soft, but always a surprise - sometimes Turkish, sometimes rock, sometimes jazzy, always fun and unobtrusive. We also love the huge barrel "tables" used as outdoor seating under a covered "patio". What I ordered: I was sad to hear that they no longer make/serve their refreshing and lovely apricot tea, so I chose a sweet cardamom coffee. My sister each chose a turkish coffee and pistachio coffee. A hot chocolate for my husband and two apple teas for the children. We ordered one of each selection of baklava available - pistachio, walnut, chocolate pistachio, halva and another walnut treat. Not to mention peach and blackberry lokum. We also ordered a potato & cheese sandwich; they ran out of the bread so substituted potato borek topped with cheese for our savory snack. What I loved: Always the service; quiet, humble, spot on. The coffee is truly magnificent and fully takes you back to Turkey. The baklava is sweet and soaked in honey, just like the cafes in Istanbul, and the beautiful lighting mesmerizes each of us every time. Why I loved it: It's always a little escape entering the doors of Ashuri, and like a mini vacation in a home away from home. Cost: Average

The cats are often…read moresnoozing or relaxed and always seem well cared for (if there's ever any concern, they're taken off the floor until they are better). Workers are always friendly and happy to talk about cats and are always cleaning and helping facilitate adoptions. Between each 45 minute session, they clean everything-- I've had a friend with mild cat allergy go and not be too affected. I've gone a few times for the long 3 hour sessions and had an absolute blast getting things done (if you sit still, the curious cats will approach you and sit in your lap while you work!) Food is all prepackaged and ordered in bottles in addition to the entry for a 45 minute stay. Place is lovely and well-lit and a great way to get some time with some adorable kitties!

There's also a bar for both alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks. We booked our appointment online, and we had to reschedule it a few times, and they have pretty accommodating for our poor scheduling. I saw a couple walk ins while I was waiting, but there wasn't any slots left at our time, but they were offered an hour later. For around $15 you get 45 mins with the cats. The cats, there were so sweet and peaceful. Seems like they were very accustomed to people petting them. There were a few playful ones. The place is so relaxed and big enough where you can roam and pet different cats and have a space of your own. The Seattle location is tiny compared to this one.

The perfect pairing! Type of cuisine: Espresso and other beverages, a small selection of pastries, including bagels, cinnamon rolls and the like, and access to the entire Daisy Cafe menu. Ambiance: A two-in-one spot, where The Daisy Cafe takes one side, bright and complete with kitchen and bar seating; and The Union Coffee Shop takes up the other side, dark and complete with mega barista station. Both sides offer table-chair set-ups for patrons wishing to dine in. The atmosphere is casual, laid back, clean and very Bellingham - cozy, artsy, quaint and friendly. Despite being downtown, the Coffee Shop feels like a neighborhood spot, where you can walk in and know your barista and the faces seated about. What I ordered: For our children, two 12-ounce caramel sauce steamers, a 12-ounce mocha for me and a 16-ounce matcha latte for my husband. What I loved: The coffee is strong and robust, but smooth and creamy, the chocolate dark and bitter, with a generous topping of sweet whipped cream. Why I loved it: It's a great spot, the barista quiet and expert at his trade, and our beverages paired well with our Daisy Cafe fare. Cost: Average
