Literally found this place because of an "adopt a highway sign". First and probably last time in my life I'll say that. We were up that way for our elopement on Mt Baker and had to stop. The pastries are fantastic and weekend quiches are a must. We ended up coming here 3 times over the weekend including in the middle of our elopement day to sign our marriage certificates. The backyard is so cute and apparently they have a live music series and beer garden there too. We hope to check that out soon. read more

Service is quick and baristas friendly. But sad to say like others have said, the latte was atrocious. I had to settle for another flavor because chai tea latte was not available. Either the espresso machine was dirty, they have pre ground coffee or...I don't know. The coffee flavor was bitter and even the vanilla flavor didn't mask it. And then my wife ordered quiche and it was not available 2 out of 2. Understandable they need to microwave breakfast sandwiches because they don't have a full kitchen. The breakfast sandwich was just OK. The view and outdoor seating are very nice. We will come back to try and get what we came for next time. We are hoping for better. read more

Came here for the hype and left completely disappointed. Wake 'n Bakery might be popular, but that makes their awful coffee all the more shocking. Their breakfast items are decent enough - good protein before hitting the trails - but their chai latte was hands down the worst I've ever tasted. The service lacks any warmth, and the absence of indoor seating is a major oversight for a spot where people stop before snowboarding and snowshoeing adventures. What's the point of a coffee shop where winter sports enthusiasts can't warm up? If the owners want to improve, they should add cozy indoor seating ASAP, completely rethink their chai latte recipe, and stick with their food items, which are actually quite good. Until then, this place is just riding on reputation rather than quality. read more

If you want overpriced, gas station quality, microwaved food this is your spot. Super cute environment, awful experience. Everything we ordered was basically inedible and a complete waste of money. NOTHING WE HAD WAS FRESH. We tried a chorizo burrito, a meat quiche and a cubano. Everything was soggy and lacking flavor. The pie crust on the quiche was especially bad. Never going back and would not recommend. This felt like tourist exploitation and i'm very saddened to have to write this review but there was no effort even the drink was bad. literally miserable :( read more

Service was great, very friendly. Breakfast burritos very good. I got the Bacon and husband got the chorizo. I got a sausage breakfast sandwich for the next day. Was disappointed that the menu didn't match their website and was not Sausage, egg, sage & gouda. read more

We spent the week in Glacier and was really looking forward to trying this place! However, on the first visit, they had very few pastries to pick from and NO indoor seating! If you want to sit and enjoy your food or coffee, you have to go outside. It's the mountains and shoulder season so everything is cold and soaking wet, so we sat in our car. I definitely don't understand why they can't just have a table or two inside, maybe at least a bar table - there's plenty of space. Despite this, we went back to give it a second chance and to get some food and although the sign said it was open, there was a makeshift sign on the door that said they were closing early and "sorry for any inconvenience". This was at 3 PM on a Friday and it's one of the only gigs in town. Lame. Don't make a special trip here unless you know for sure someone will be there to help you. Do they have good food here? I guess we'll never know. read more

This is a gem of a coffee shop!! The staff here were very friendly and quick to take care of everyone. Great tasting coffee and a variety of breakfast foods that also offer options for dietary restrictions. Everyone in our group of 9 were pleased with their orders. The pastries were consistently good but the premade breakfast sandwiches a little hit and miss. Like the small town laid back vibe. We were here in warm weather so didn't miss the lack of indoor seating. We stopped by here on the way up to a ski day at Mt. Baker. It was early in the morning and we had just beat a huge rush. There were only a few people in front of us in line, which gave us time to review the menu on the wall. We also had time to comb through the cabinets on the left full of baked goodies. You can grab those yourself. We ordered some coffee, pastries (grab yourself), and breakfast burritos. We stood to the side and waited about 5 minutes for our drinks and another 5 minutes for our burritos. We snacked on our pastries while we waited and watched the line build. We got in the car, which was parked on the street due to the small lot and ate while we drove. The berry cheese pastry was good, similar to a cuban cheese roll. The ham and cheese pastrie was good as well, but would have been better warm. I'm not sure if they had a microwave or not for use. The chorizo burrito was good and very soft. The baked goods were excellent. A solid brownie and a superb Marion berry muffin. The breakfast burrito (veggie) and sandwich (sausage) were only acceptable. They were pre-made and microwave reheated. The burrito had the potential to be much better, but needed salsa or a sauce to accompany it. If it wasn't for the cookie, this would probably would be a 2 star. The cookie was delicious. The rest of the food we ordered, not so much. The burritos had an odd, not so good flavor to them. The sausage breakfast sandwich was pretty good, but the way it was thrown together, it was a mess and the cheese was melted all over the wrapper. Very poor presentation. The service was ok, the cashier was a bit haughty and came across as condescending. Just not a great vibe overall for overall acceptance and good feelings. 4 cookies, 1 sandwich and 3 breakfast burritos was $57 also. No sides, no drinks. Plus the sign outside says sandwiches, but there's only breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos, so be warned. read more

The quiche was so yummy! It's difficult to find fresh goodness like this but not in small area like Glacier. Small restaurant with big flavor, the food was good for small quick snack and my Italian soda was good too. Not a lot of ice and a good touch of bubble-raspberry. The crust was cooked perfect, nice and crisp, the top had the perfect golden brown color, good texture, good seasoning. The only reason for the 3 stars is because I was short changed. Friendly, funky dog friendly spot offering good breakfast and lunch. I camped nearby recently and a couple meals. The sandwiches and cookies are really delicious. The bakery has a lot of outdoor seating and plenty of room for pups. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Really good coffee. The scones and muffins and other pastries are tasty. The raspberry apricot and rosemary scone was so buttery and crunchy. For breakfast, we had the veggie egg sandwiches. They do have vegetarian options but I didn't see any vegan ones. The vegetarian ones include eggs. The restroom is clean. They have quirky stickers and t shirts for sale. There's outdoor seating in the garden. This place is crowded and for a good reason. The pastries do sell off quickly and for a good reason. A must stop when you are in this area. read more

We've been staying around Glacier for the past month and every weekend we've looked forward to stopping by Wake n' Bakery at the recommendation of a friend. Consistently, they have had great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. The breakfast sandwiches are so warm and flavorful, and I appreciate all of the vegetarian options. There are also cute little items to buy (if they had postcards this would be a 6 star experience). There is a quaint little garden area to sit around in which helps with social distancing and feeling safe. I have been so happy to visit each and every time. I just went this morning and I'm already planning a trip for tomorrow. read more

The wannabe hippie wooks who started/run this absolute dumpster fire of a business should do less wake-n-baking and focus on customer service and serving better food. I've never been so excited to try a place and so immediately horrified by their service, demeanor, and food. The rude order-taker (mostly order-giver) and rundown building combined with their bland, piping hot, microwaved, pre-made food make this a mistake from start to finish. The nazi-like way they run their little kingdom and bark orders at their customers goes against all logic of a small business wanting to succeed, and their unwillingness to accommodate food allergies makes it impossible for some to eat here. If you like waiting 20 minutes for them to microwave your pre-made soggy tasteless burrito and then eating it while you stand outside in the cold rain, you're in luck because that's your only option. The diarrhea I experienced immediately afterwards while my friends skied a gorgeous powder day was really the icing on the cake. Do yourself a favor and stop elsewhere, anywhere. PS, the grocery store across the street has good breakfast bagels and smoothies. read more

Went here yesterday for a quick bite before hitting a hike. We both ordered the veggie breakfast sandwich which was soooo good on their warm homemade rosemary "english muffin". We usually eat meat but were trying for something tasty and light and it was perfect! We also took one each of their homemade wild berry and oat bars and chocolate crispy trails bars to go to eat at the glacier lake we were hiking to...they were excellent! A bit soft and messy but so tasty and great texture! Will probably go back for more today before another hike. Espresso was really good too! Loved the garden area! read more

After picking up hiking permits at Glacier Public Service Center, we asked the lady at the service center where we could grab food before we hit the trail and she pointed us towards Wake 'n Bakery. Super close to each other, we swung in and grabbed some food. We ordered: - 2 breakfast burritos around $7-11 each - mocha I tried to get no cheddar on my burrito, but they couldn't make any alterations to the order. I think they make it before hand in the morning. I try to opt for as little dairy intake as possible for before a big hike, but it's not the end of the world if I consume some either. Which is fine, I still ordered it and it was good. The spot is really cute and they had a lot of yummy looking pastries too! I will definitely swing by here next time I am in town! read more

We always make it a priority to stop here on our drives up to picture lake. The staff is friendly and the coffee is really good. I got an iced double Americano with extra ice and pumpkin and cream. It was pretty sweet, but that's how I like it. The coffee was flavorful and not very acidic. I've also had a chai here in the past I enjoyed! The chocolate cookie was absolutely one of my dreams, too. We picked up some local honey (one of the staff has the bees, if I heard correctly) and a Baker sticker :) we'll be back! read more

Cute little bakery on the way to Baker. Busy as soon as the doors open every weekend morning. Tasty pastries, drinks, and breakfast burritos - the perfect spot to fuel up before your outdoor adventures. I had a bacon breakfast burrito and it was very filling! Though, the ingredients were not well distributed throughout the whole burrito, so I had most of the bacon in the first few bites. The burrito was also pretty bland, needs some more seasoning. Customer service is super friendly, and the staff and the other customers were quite kind to our kids. They really seem to care about their products and service. I even got a hoodie so I can rep the brand back home in Seattle. I will definitely be back to enjoy their lovely treats when we return to hike or play in the snow. This really is a charming little coffee shop/bakery! Right next to where my boyfriend and I usually stay when we go to Glacier (snowline). Overall we've been very satisfied by their coffee! Will say for us though, the pastries have been hit or miss... but absolutely love the atmosphere and absolutely willing to take the risk on the pastries! :) Will continue coming back as we return to the area! read more

Great baked goods, unique recipes. This is that place that every great ski or surf town has where groggy locals shuffle in and know everyone, and it just looks like an extension of someone's living room. Smallish portions but gourmet taste, but the prices are good so it balances out. I'm not a coffee drinker but I imagine that is the main draw. Picnic benches, tables inside,.. this place deserves some hang-out time. I can't believe I didn't know this place was here (it is a block off the main drag). read more

They use to be the perfect stop on the way to the mountain. Great coffee, bakery and the best people. Not so much after the last year or so. I really wanted the new owners to succeed. Today I was scolded like an insubordinate teen because I went through an open gate to enjoy my purchased, substandard coffee and breakfast sandwich. After I picked up several pieces of litter and while I was preparing to pick up some significantly dried up and stepped on dog feces. Clean up your yard and don't scold your customers for something insignificant that they didn't do. I might try again sometime because it is a tough time for everyone during a pandemic, but for now, one star. read more
