Blue Cheese Bacon burger with sweet potato waffle fries
Alisha S.

Absolutely everything we've ordered there has been mouthwatering. From the Prime Rib, Fish & Chips, Cheeseburgers, Chicken Fried Steak etc has not disappointed. Keeps bringing us back every week or two !! The sweet potato waffle fries are the best I've EVER had. The tartar sauce ? Hands down my favorite. Coleslaw ? Yep that too. We order side salads no matter what we get for an entree because we crave them !! The pies !! Boy oh boy the pies...... So many flavorful varieties to choose from when the case is full. Best pie you'll ever eat !! The waitress is very friendly, funny and knows her business. She hustles and never skips a beat. Great job girl !! The decor and atmosphere is fun retro old diner, laid back, family friendly or date night friendly. Great outdoor space with a small town atmosphere. You gotta come and try it for yourself !!

Reuben sandwich with potato salad

5 Stars Acme Diner in Acme, Washington What a find! My friend and I took a scenic drive up Highway 9 in Washington and ended up at the Acme Diner and wow, are we glad we did! This place is an absolute gem. The diner itself feels like a step back in time, with a fun 1950s vibe mixed with a cozy, hometown "Northern Exposure" kind of atmosphere. There's a bar area and a surprisingly extensive menu with everything from hearty breakfast options to sandwiches and full dinner plates like prime rib and turkey with stuffing. I had the Reuben sandwich with potato salad, and it was phenomenal. The corned beef was tender, packed with flavor, and there was plenty of it. Their homemade potato salad was just as good; fresh and creamy. My friend had the chicken wings (not battered), and they were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They even make their own ranch dressing from scratch! But the real star of the show? The pie. I cannot say enough about the pie. I got a slice of blackberry cheesecake pie and raspberry cheesecake pie to go (because I was already stuffed from lunch), and honestly, I'm still dreaming about it. It's not your typical dense cheesecake; it's fluffy, creamy, and heavenly. The crust is a traditional flaky pie crust (not graham cracker) and was perfectly crispy. The fresh berries on top just burst with flavor. I would drive all the way back just for the pie alone. It's that mind-blowingly good. The staff also made the experience even better. They are warm, welcoming, genuinely excited about their diner, and proud (rightfully so!) that most items are homemade. They made us feel like part of the family. Acme Diner is a true hidden treasure in a tiny town, and 1000% worth the drive. If you love good food, friendly people, and PIE (seriously, do not miss the pie), you absolutely need to check this place out. Go! you will not be disappointed!

Pie!

I showed up just as they were bringing out a whole new batch of hot freshly baked pies. They are made locally by a grandmother so they are extra special. The dutch apple was impressive and the blueberry pie was the best I've ever enjoyed!

Friendly service; hot, generous servings; the diner experience at its finest! I had the corned beef hash and eggs, my husband had one of the skillets. He got a homemade biscuit with his food which stole the show! I didn't get to have any of the biscuit because I'm gluten-free, but they do offer gluten free toast. They'll even turn the gluten free bread into French toast if you like, but I didn't ask about whether the batter would be free from cross-contamination. The pies looked lovely but alas, not gluten free either. The place was clean and well kept, and the photography on the walls was beautiful interspersed with the usual diner decor. Overall a lovely experience worth taking a leisurely drive for.

Came to Acme on our way to Mt. Baker. It was a long long long drive to even get to Acme from where we were coming from. We came here on a recommendation from a family member that had been here before. Love the inside of this place!! It gave like a western/70's vibe? It also had a bar section in the back area. Our waitress was great and gave us information about their menu. A lot of the their ingredients are local. I decided to get the veggie omelet and LOVED IT! I forgot what everyone else got but I do remember these HUGE blue berry pancakes that my bf and his mom got. Dannnng if I could have those everyday it be very dangerous for my health lol They were fluffy and crispy and the blueberries were sweet! amazing food here honestly. I definitely reccomend coming here if you are In the area on your way to mt baker or just on your way north lol

Wow! I'm startled by how healthy and delicious this lunch is. So much more than I was expecting from the "quick pit stop for lunch on my way somewhere else" experience. And the valley is spectacularly beautiful

Philly Cheese Steak and fries. Smoke amount of beef

Overall, it would definitely warrant a second visit if we ever go to that remote corner of the world again. It had the charm of a50's diner including the furniture. My daughter and I were greeted immediately upon entering. The waitress (Rebecca I think) was friendly throughout our visit. My daughter had what she always gets when it's on the menu, Corner Beef Reuben. It was simple for, done well. I had the Philly Cheese steak. The beef was a good quality beef with plenty of cheese and onions. The only reason they got a 4-Star was some of her was cold but just a few pieces on the outside. Fries were good.

One egg breakfast with hashbrowns and biscuits!

I am a diner fan in general so when I was looking for a spot to eat a late breakfast or early lunch on our drive from Edison to Mt Baker and saw the rave reviews for this place, I was pumped! Comments about this area being a restaurant desert is accurate and one review saying this diner is worth a drive out of the way sold me on this place out of a few other options! Luckily this was exactly on our way. This diner is so cute and clean, the staff was so nice, and the food was delicious! They even let me add cheese and onions to my hashbrowns! I would return if ever in the area again!

Lots of seating, large selection, friendly staff. Was worth the drive from Anacortes and a place to visit after hiking at Mt Baker.

What most people come here for are the yummy large burgers and fries and shakes, etc. Although in their menu the offer sandwiches, wraps and salads too. Everyone I saw while there had burgers on their trays. The appetizers are also very yummy. We shared the garlic cheese curds to start and they were very tasty and served hot. Among our group of 5 people we tried a variety of the burger options including Jalapeno Burger, Grilled Onion Burger. I substituted the sweet tempura brussels sprouts for fries and another did onion rings. The rest of us had the delicious fries. The burgers were very big and difficult to finish for several of us so we took a lot of it home. While here we also ordered the special "Doggy Burger" for our dog. This is a basic cooked hamburger which we chopped up for the dog. And I also ordered a slice of the white chocolate raspberry dessert that the worker said was fresh out of the oven. That had to come home for a later day as we were stuffed. Great tasting food here! I'll be back.

Here I was....after spending an entire day hiking wonderful Cascade Pass Trail...to then arrive here at Marblemount Diner at the end of the day....this was the perfect ending in having a home cooked hearty meal! I had just completed almost 10 miles of strenuous hiking down the road at North Cascades National Park. I then drove through this tiny town of Marblemount. And...I had read that Marblemount Diner was highly recommended. I was excited to try this place. When I stopped on by here back in August of this year, 2020 (during the pandemic) it was about 5pm - Thursday and the restaurant was empty. Lol, I guess I was just grateful they were open. But...after being tired from venturing all around on a cold and dreary day...I was craving simple, basic all-American food, and Marblemount Diner delivered with success. From the appearance on the outside of the restaurant, the diner certainly exuded a small, rustic, "mom and pop" type of feel...just the way I like em. I was greeted friendly and sat down immediately. Inside the restaurant...it had a cozy setting decorated with hometown pictures, lots of homages dedicated to being in the outdoors and among nature...and a very quaint "cabin-esque" ambiance set within the quiet mountain town of Marblemount. The menu was simple and basic, not too many options...but I sort of prefered it that way. Just stick to what's good. They had a section of... - Sandwiches - Fried Fish and Chicken - Salads - Kid's Meals - Beverages and Alcoholic Beverages - Desserts. That was it. So for me...I'm easy and can eat anything, and especially since I had built up a huge appetite, I had no issues finding something. I chose the Mushroom Burger - "with sauteed mushrooms dripping in Monterey Jack cheese" for $14.75. The burger also came with fries, lettuce, tomato, onions and a pickle in a basket. I also added a fountain soda. The mushroom burger was pretty big in size and with the fries...it was all quite fulfilling and "hit the spot" satisfying my hiker hunger, lol. Eventually, a little later during my time here the restaurant started filling up. Btw, tables were spread out so everyone was more than 6 feet apart. While eating my meal, I looked back on my photos from the day. I genuinely enjoyed taking my time eating, relaxing, and reflecting on my hiking while digging into a fresh hamburger all within this quiet little diner setting. Had I been visiting and staying in the town of Marblemount longer, I'd happily return to this diner. But just overall, I was enthusiastic about having the chance to end my day here at Marblemount Diner. Within the surroundings of the mountains of North Cascades National Park, for me...it didn't get any better than this!
